How do you backup call logs for a reinstall away from google syncing or any kind of server syncing?

I recently restored data to my phone haveing re-flashed it. I used PIM Backup to restore a backup of phone numbers, calendar entries, appointments, logs etc etc. Then I synced my phone with my computer (of which I have outlook installed which has my full address book within the app).
Following the sync with outlook (and PIM backup), i now have 2 of every phonebook entry in my phone! arghhh! What can I do? I have about 200+ phonebook entries (thus 400+ now), so deleting the duplicates one by one is crazy.
Any help, software or advice guys? (and how can i stop this happening again should I reflash, re-restore and re-sync with outlook?)
Thanks.
from PIM backup delete all conacts then re-sync again if u have the contacs in outlook if u dont have then just after deleting them restore the backup
Where is the option to delete all contacts in PIM?

Oh, I hadnt realised it was so simple, Thanks.
Basically, as the title states I'm looking for options for backing up my SMS and MMS messages.
'My Backup Pro' does a fine job but it doesn't save the time stamps. Once you restore they all show up as new messages basically.
I'm looking for a way to backup, or even better, automatically backup or sync my messages.
(Too bad Google doesn't have a messages sync option like it does with contacts and calendar)
Thoughts?
I havent found a way to backup both SMS and MMS together.
SMS Backup & Restore backs up SMS with the TS and you can restore the backup.
I use Handcent to back up MMS.
Does My Backup Pro backup both SMS and MMS? I should try that out later tonight

Yep, you have the option to backup both. You can also backup apps and data, or either or. I really like the app otherwise.
I use an app called backup to gmail. saves all my sms, mms, call logs
real time
you can save the mms and sms seperately onto your sd card. But as for backing them up the only reason the backup is if your trasfering to another phone or flashing roms. If your trasfering to another phone go to a cellphone store and they can back up messages on a maching called cellebrite and trasfers the complete state of the phone to the other. As for just flashing roms i believe titanium backup will back it up, or you can make a nandroid and dig deep in the nandroid and pull up the messages.
Doesn't titanium backup save those?
I've done several backups/restores here of the call log and sms. Time stamps appear to be preserved. I do believe TB requires root access though.
Can someone recommend a good app to backup my contacts. I have Titanium Backup Pro as well as MyBackup Pro, but I'm not sure how to restore contacts with TB and when I restored with MyBackup Pro, you have to add your google account, and the backup created duplicate contacts of every person in my phone.
I have my google contacts which are in google and my FB contacts which don't restore when I sync my phone to google after a ROM flash. I want to be able to backup all my contacts as they are and restore them after a ROM flash. Thanks.

Wat all thing can b backed up with Titanium back up...
I need back up for SMS, Contacts, Call log
Titanium backup can backup apps wi-fi access points etc....
For SMS use SMS Backup and Restore.
And backup your contacts on your google account
Wat abt calander entries...?
That'll come under system data in titanium backup. Specifically, I'm not completely sure but there are two system apps, calendar and calendar storage. Together they should backup your calendar data.
Sent from my HTC Wildfire S A510e
If you make contacts and calender events under the google account..........they are automatically backed up...........you can look and edit them by opening GMail on your computer
I just got my HTC 10 and I've been moving stuff from my old LG G2. Call logs seem to be stuck though: restoring from Titanium Backup caused a crash and the "Call History" is empty in the dialer.
However, apparently I have the logs since apps like Unlimited Call Logs show them. But they don't get updated when I make or receive calls.
So what can I do? Trying to restore the xml in Titanium Backup causes a crash and trying to restore the call log backup just says "failed". If I knew what file the logs are stored in I guess I could just delete that but what is it?
OK, I found out the answer and also what my mistake was. Call logs are saved with contacts in /data/data/com.android.providers.contacts/databases/contacts2.db so I moved that to /sdcard and also contacts2.db-journal and contacts2.db_backup and rebooted. Then I had no contacts or call logs but at least call logs would update.
So, I think my mistake was using Titanium Backup to restore contacts from the old phone (I think I restored Contacts Storage). Exporting contacts to vcf on the old phone and importing that seems to have worked. With that restoring call logs from TiBu generated xml file went without issue.
I use TiBu xml backup and restore for call logs and wifi networks. Works great
this app has been great for me:

Thank you so much! I had an empty call log after updating my Nexus 6 to Lineage 15.1 and clearing out the Google contacts data solved the problem. Contacts synced back in and the call log is populated, too!
