Question Google Fi working properly on 11.2.4.4? - OnePlus 9 Pro

I was curious if any google Fi users had the issues of not being able to pick up phone calls resolved from the update 11.2.4.4 considering they claim to have "fixed" the issue. I had to switch providers as it was so bad. Being able to swap back would be ideal. Greatly appreciate the info.

No WiFi Calling - Android N

Hey folks. Problem here. I've been racking my brain and searching everywhere to see if anyone else has had this issue but I can't find any relevant information considering Android N has only been out for a short time.
I have no WiFi calling. Like at all. I am a Project Fi user, so this is pretty crucial, especially when I get no service at several places that I frequent bit have WiFi access. Project Fi has all of the correct permissions, AOSP Phone and Google Phone apps are both installed but there is no option in settings for WiFi calling..
Not really sure how to fix this issue. It was working fine before I upgraded to Android N.. Any Fi users experiencing the same thing?

Same here and Google play store shows device uncertified.
Same here. I downloaded Safetynet check and it says CTS Profile mismatch. Can't use Android pay to charge my car. It was after the update earlier today that's supposed to fix the red tint issue some people were having. I should have held off if I knew it would break android pay.

Everyone!!!! It's not an issue with the software from samsung... If you download the latest Google play services 11.0.33 the device will pass safetynet check, store will show certified and Android pay will work as expected!!! I did this and it worked for me on my S8+.
Just an update on the situation, I have reached out to T-Mobile via Twitter Support and they have informed me that they are aware of the issue and will fix in the next update. (Hoping soon)
Hey there! Thanks so much for reaching out about this and bringing it to our attention. We have noted this issue down and we are making adjustments for when our next update comes out from Samsung! I sincerely appreciate the feedback and it will be sent in the right direction to the right people! I have a link here: https://support.t-mobile.com/community/phones-tablets-devices/software-updates … that take you to our software updates page where you can see and watch our updates as they come to our network! RCS Messaging not activating since Oreo 8.0

Anyone got issues to activate the "Enhanced features" in Android Message. It was working fine in my previous Pixel XL but since I replaced and upgraded Oreo. It just loops without doing anything.
Anyone got that issue ?

I have the same thing happening. Also with Rogers. I called their tech support, but no help. I tried Google support and they didn't have an answer, but suggested sending in feedback via the Support section on the Pixel.
I did do a factory reset, and this problem started after that. My son also has a Pixel, and has also updated to Oreo. He didn't do a factory reset though, just the OTA update, and his RCS is still working.

I called Rogers. They tried to wipe my profile and then I waited for it to be resupplied. It didn't work.... Google are unaware.
Where did you report that bug? In the app itself ?
I wonder if anyone else on Oreo can try to disable it and re enable it to see if it will go back on

T Mobile wifi calling not working on Pixel 2 XL? Is it a setting?

Hi, I just switched from Project Fi to T Mobile and wifi calling is not working on my Pixel 2 XL. If I'm in airplane mode, turn on wifi, and make a call, it gives me an error that says "turn off airplane mode or connect to a wireless network to make a call."
My searches on the net seem to show varying results with it seeming to work for some and not others. Please help! Please respond if you have a Pixel 2 XL on T Mobile and if wifi calling is working for you in airplane mode. I assume that a true wifi call on the Pixel will show a wifi symbol on the call screen, as it did for me when I was on Project Fi.
Thanks!
Just tried. Haven't used the wifi calling as I have a T-Mobile LTE hot spot and haven't needed to at home since. Worked fine though on stock 8.1 no root. Airplane mode active, WiFi on.
Never turned it on until I tested it out, I'm on 8.1 stock unrooted March patch and it works just fine.

I don't feel like there's anything significant in here. Any ideas, guys?
When you were on a Wi-Fi call that you placed, did you have the little Wi-Fi symbol on the call Page above the name and number? That's what I remember when I would make a Wi-Fi call using project fi on my pixel 2 XL.

The key for me back when i had tmobile was to register a 911 address on My T-Mobile. (Note: If you skip this step, a REG09 error may be displayed.)

Great suggestion, thank you. As I just started my T Mobile service yesterday, I had not entered an e911 address yet, which the store rep had asked me to do. However, I just added it and still have no wifi calling ability. That said, I'm not sure if this takes time to work, in other words now that I've put in the address if it takes 24 hours or something?
The other thing is that based on the error message I get, which I posted on page one of this thread, "turn off airplane mode....", it does not suggest a problem with the e911 address. It feels like a settings issue to me. An advanced settings issue. All I've got is a gut feeling and nothing to back it up. I've asked T Mobile for help on this and they are only somewhat interested because my phone is not a T Mobile device.
And that link you've included is GREAT because it officially suggests the Pixel 2 has wifi calling capability on T Mobile. Not the Pixel 2 XL but...it still might be good ammo for me when asking for help when they're not so interested.

Thank you for posting this picture! This is exactly what I'm looking for and what I recognize from successful Wi-Fi calling on Project Fi recently. I can tell that you feel my pain here and I appreciate it.
Another indication I'm noticing is that when I'm in airplane mode and Wi-Fi is on, I get a "no connection" indication bar in Android messages. See the attached thumbnail. That should not be happening and further indicates something is amiss. I think when that goes away I will have with Wi-Fi calling capability.
I had to enable the wifi calling within the phone app and it worked.

I've definitely done that, and gone through all of the menus.
To add insult to injury, my wife's MotoX4, on the same account and also brand new to T Mobile, has perfectly functioning wifi calling.
Thanks again for all of the responses. I may try going back to the store and having them re-provision my phone, in case something didn't get done right initially.

Whatever you don't, don't let any T-Mobile idiot try to lie to you saying you need a T-Mobile branded phone for wifi calling. When I was having issues getting this setup, one of the Tier 2 IT techs tried selling that line of bull****.

I know, I've received that one already. But there's way too much evidence on here and other forms to suggest that it absolutely works with the pixel 2 and can be done. I just need to find someone at T-Mobile who's willing to work on it with me.
If anyone has a contact at T-Mobile who they like, PLEASE let me know.
Would anyone who hasn't already specified please let me know if your phone is a Verizon specific device as opposed to the Google Store Pixel 2 XL? No one has said that their Google version has wifi calling working yet and that is the only thing I can think of.
Thank you!

got it working at last. found this on reddit and it solved my problem. TBH, I am really dissapointed at how bad google fi has worked with different phones and how much hoop jumping is needed to just use the service.
-------------------------------
Ok i got it working w/ fi support. It required the following:
uninstall the fi app
answer a test call successfully
reinstall the fi app
Reactivate fi -- at this point, i think the Fi tech reset the network settings on their end --
go into app settings and clear app data and cache
Reactivate fi again
Now it works for me w/ fi app installed

please do mate, I ordered the Fi SIM yesterday (coming from a 3XL), hoping not to have issues.
Just got my SIM from Google FI, installed it no problem, switched from my 3XL and the number is now allocated to the OnePlus. Only thing i'm not sure on is 5G, however i didn't have to uninstall anything or anything like that.
I take it back (it initially worked), I had to do the procedure mentioned above, however it now works fine.

Got the device yesterday. I had to port my number over from Verizon, which was a teeny bit of a headache. That being said, seems like everything with Google Fi worked fine my first setup.
I'm not sure that 5G works, but I'm also 99% sure the my home has no 5G coverage.
I'm going to post a review on here after a few days on stock, and today I'm going into the city for work. We'll see whether I have any 5G access.
Got through a day of work with my OP9P today. I apparently can't receive calls today --could yesterday just fine-- so I'll have to do the fix from here and Reddit.
Good news is 5G does work.

It seemed only to work for a bit and then back to the same issue.
I was able to get it working by uninstalling the fi app. Reinstalling, then setting up your account. When it asks to set up wifi calling. Deny it. It should work now. Been working all day for me. I hope they fix this.
I'm having issues. I uninstall the app and I get calls and it records voicemail. It doesn't show the voicemail in the Phone app, it makes me call the voicemail #. It doesn't activate the Visual Voicemail in the Phone app.
