Question Camera on 11.2.3.3 - OnePlus 9 Pro

Anybody on the latest update notice any changes in the camera. I'm on 2.2.2 and it's pretty poor.

As far as i can observe, there is no change in the quality of camera. Its bad in low light conditions. Better install gcam.

4.0.4 Camera Improvements are noticeable

Hey,
I know this is not a huge thread or the most useful ever, but i didn't wanna swarm threads with potentially irrelevant info.
But anyways, the camera improvements are great. You used to have your frame focused and the shutter came too long after the focus so you often had blurry pictures. Now you actually notice that it refocuses at the exact moment of the shutter (obviously "exact moment" is somewhat an expression). That alone improves the quality by a ton and most likely what they refer to when saying they fixed "stabjlity".
So after you flash to 4.0.4 don't fear to use your camera anymore!
I assume all the camera quality improvements will be present in the latest CM9 nightly based on Android 4.0.4 as well?

Thanks for this. I wonder if there's anything in the update that'll improve the graininess of the pics.

I use AOKP 29, and any AOSP based 4.0.4 should have similar core improvements. So yes, your assumption is right

The graininess does also seem to have major improvements. Overall the quality is A1. I dont wanna risk it and say its like iphone pictures but it sure as hell is one step closer.
This just got me excited...I use my camera a lot. I was going to hold off on upgrading to AOKP 4.0.4 build until they added everything back in but maybe I will make the jump quicker. Post some bad lit pictures up in the picture thread please and specify it is on 4.0.4 please. I am sure a lot of people would be interested to see these...
wow, the camera is muuuch better. is like they discovered how to focus propertly
The yellowish issue when using the flash seems to be gone too.
After testing further I have to say my only complaint is that the shutter speed is not constant, as in sometimes it will take the picture instantly and sometimes it will lag a little (not because of focus)
I still wish there was a way to batch delete photos.

Long press on a photo while in the Gallery and then you can choose which ones you want to delete and delete them!
Lol what? Batch delete has been around since at least Eclair, if not earlier.
A comparison could be great
I've taken a couple of shots and while it's too early to say, I think it's improved.
To be honest a comparasion would be somewhat hard to do. And also... why... Its better, its not really gonna change anything, its not like comparing 2 equivalent and different products.

I think there is. Just long press a pic till a checkmark appears. Then press each other pic you want. Menu, delete.
Has anyone else notice that the camera volume is really loud and there's no way to turn it down other than completely off? Has it always been like this? I thought it use to correspond to notification volume.

O seu atualizou via OTA?
Do you have update via OTA?
So far I see more aggressive post processing correction of white balance on flash shots. Way less blue tint after processing. Also night scene mode usable for macro shots since it focuses on near objects much better. Will experiment more but so far just these two makes it much more usable for me.
Seems to focus a lot faster for me while not being blurry at all.
That's a definite improvement if I'm seeing it right.

Custom ROMs and camera performance

Hi,
I'd really like to use a custom ROM, but camera performance is rather important for me. How big is the difference in this aspect between a custom and original ROM?
And also, what's to expect in this subject? Is there any hope to have in the near future a custom ROM with equal to original camera performance?
I have the same inquiry as well, but as for what I've been reading so far. It is not possible at the moment or possibly will never happen( I hope I'm wrong with this one.).
Conclusion: You can't have the best of both worlds.
There is a clear big difference between custom and stock rom in terms of camera quality. It's like night and day in my opinion. Although shots taken by custom rom are acceptable but compare to stock, the details and colors are way off when using custom rom. In terms of futurem nobody knows but this issue also exist on other phone. Like Xperia 2011 devices where the quality really degrades when using AOSP based rom though the big issue there is the camera libraries.
I thought only the Z3's use those very special DRM-Codes in the TA-Partition for LowLight and other Stuff? Isn't the rest "just" Sonys Camera Software?
I would love to use CM11, and i think i could live with a bit less low light quality, but as a DSLR owner i want another camera that is good with "point-and-shoot" situations...the Stock Z1 with the superior automatic is perfect for that kind of stuff....
Can't say how much is the difference, since I did not leave the phone at stock for a very long time, but in CM I find the back camera quality pretty good even in dark settings, when the flash is being used (low ISO).
However, when the flash is disabled or the front camera is used in low light (high ISO), the pictures are next to unusable.
I still can't understand what exact part of the camera processing configuration is stored on those DRM partitions and why did Sony, who otherwise support custom ROM development, made such particular decision...
I'd like to lift this thread and ask again, are there any lollipop roms with better or at least the same quality on camera?

You will not find a CM camera that comes anywhere near the quality of stock, sorry. Feel free to keep asking.

Lineage camera quality

Hello,
So my question is, what is the camera quality like on the newest LineageOS build? There seems to be a lot of camera updates in the changelog.
I'm currently running OxygenOS CB 11, because the video quality. The stabilization and 1080p60 is pure awesomeness and the slow motion is fun, too.
Last time I checked (Back when it was CyanogenMod 14.1), the video quality was poor and there was no 1080p60 or slow motion. Has it been improved/added?
Thanks in advance.
no slowmotion and 60fps yet although the picture quality isnt worse at all from what i can see. this is one of the only reasons i stick with OOS based roms
The official camera app is now working on LineageOS, and has been for about a month now, so all is right in the world.
I'm on lineage OS with the stock camera port, and the quality is the same as OOS.

Except RAW doesn't work and the app is pretty unstable. If you want a good camera experience, stock OOS based ROMs and Sultans CM13 ROM are the best. You have more control over your post processing with Sultans CM and it's better for daylight photos. Removing the noise reduction for daylight photos adds so much detail.
Has the camera quality changed or is it the same today as it was a few months ago ?

Best G4 ROM with stock-quality Camera

I'm looking for a custom ROM which allows me to take photos with the same quality as the original G4 Camera app, without losing quality. Which one should I choose?

You're only really going to get that with one of the stock ROMs. I've been running Imperium since forever and I've never really had any problems with it.
I'm interested too because with Stock Base Roms (Imperium) I get bootloop after a few weeks. Now I'm on Cosmic OS and I'm looking for a good camera
SimpleGX rom is a great one too, no problem at all, I'm still using superSU
Also security patch is updated monthly
Motorola droid camera is good you'll have to go look for it.....

Ok, so I should pick up the Simple GX ROM ? seems like it's the best solution to keep the camera quality

for best stock based.. that is genisys/imperium or simplegx. all are the same in camera... if you want alot of customazation and nougat then AOSP but lower quality on camera.. longer battery life and faster phone.

That's right that aosp nougat roms have a faster ui, but in my experience it slows down after some days of uptime (RR Tyler build).
I back at stock (imperium) for 2 months now, because of this issue.
Anyone else experienced this slow down after some time of use?
If not, which rom you are using?
Thx

true, but only with snap or google.
did you ever try my ported htc and snapdragon ? also they both fix the flashlight problem ,not hitting at the right moment.
personally i don't see any difference. The only difference is in that dam bug on the video , caused by the drivers, and we can't record a video on 1080p

Agree, snapdragon camera performs very well. I don't have any side by side comparison with stock, anyway

stock has alot of services running. and aosp or CM have less. so yes you get more SOT. i get around 3-4 hours in stock base rom. using whats app, messenger and facebook app. and data connection.
What about ProShot on asop rom and it's quality. I have/had LP 5.1 with 100% quality jpg mod and 60fps HD 48Mpbs all the way up to 60Mbps but my andorid was being hacked so now i have to explore aosp roms with latest security patches but when i go on travel trip i want my LP with mods back. V10 camera port has no jpg 100% quality mod, but Proshot does but then again it's not LG stock framework as you guys said so it's quality it's probably still inferior. Thoughts guys ?
Dual boot sounds interesting. Any links for H811 for this?
Hey!!
I'm using lg stock lollipop rom (H815) as there's no update for my model. But my problem is that my battery lasts only 2-2.5hrs in full charge. Even if i don't use my phone, it drops by 20-25% per hour. So is there any way to make my battery life better?

I want to know how's the camera performance for pixel experience rom?
I have heard some good things.. How is it compared to the stock camera performance?
If possible someone who has tried it can also tell me about the performance and bugs related to it?
