So, to my knowledge the Oneplus 9 Pro supports USB PD 3.0 at 45 watts; however, I can't seem to be able to get it to charge at the speed. I'm using a usb c voltage tester and I'm using a usb c car charger. It only shows 17-18 watts at about 9-10v. I've tested the non oem cable with the oem oneplus charger and I've been able to warp charge with it. I'm getting a more reputable branded usb pd 3.0 wall charger and a usb tester that is usb pd 3.0 compliant to test that out. I'm just wondering if it's a bug or of I just don't have the right combination of charger, cable, and usb tester.
The charger itself is capable of PD 45W, but the device supports only 9V/2A.
This is where I got the information about the 45w fast charging. Maybe this xda review is wrong? I'm okay with the 27w charging but I'm not even getting that 18w is alright, but that's how fast my 5t charged at.

the phone does support 9v/3a 27w PD charging, but the currently firmware does not support it well, the chinese version has got an update to fix that issue, the same fix for OOS version should be delivered soon.

Perhaps your current USB voltage tester doesn't support PD 3.0? See what happens with the new one.

Yeah. That is the plan. New tester gets here tomorrow. I just got a pd 3.0 wall charger in that I can hook up to my killawatt and see what that says. I'll post back if I learn anything.
Well it wasn't the tester. Couldn't get anything to charge past 27w, so I guess that is the limit. Although the Ravpower wall outlet rarely showed 27w. Most of the time it was at 19w or occasionally dropping to 5w. This is the same behavior I noticed on my car charger. I've ordered a 30w off brand warp charge car charger as well as an oppo supervooc 2.0 car charger. The supervooc charger will take 2-4 weeks but should be able to test the 30w charger by Monday. Hopefully I can get a more consistent 30 watt charge rate. And I'll update when I get the supervooc charger. Would be cool to be able to charge at 65w in my car. Good news is my 6ft fastgear usb 3.1 type c right angle cable charges my OP9Pro at 50w. Which is good enough for me and get the convenience of a long right angle cable.
Damn so 45W PD support is a lie? What charger are you using? I'm using off brand USB PD 65W PPS charger. I don't know how fast it's working because Ampere app doesn't work on this phone. CAVO thank's for your support on this issue! It's very helpful. I want my 2x 65W PD chargers to charge this phone as fast as possible....

This is the wall charger I bought. I was using a kill-a-watt to watch the charge rate. I also just got the second ota today so maybe it might work better now; however, I returned the rav power as it didn't charge the phone like I wanted it to. I think 27w might be the limit as 65w pd is 20v x 3.25a, and I'm not quite sure this phone can handle 20 v at 3.25 amp going into it, even with the dual batteries. Oneplus 65w is 10v/6.5a. The closest to that standard on the pd side is 9v/3a.

I was lucky enough to get the official 50W Vooc car charger for £8.
Haven't tested it yet with the OnePlus 9 Pro. I'm hoping to get the full 50W as it's basically Warp charger specs.
I think I'm only getting 18W with my USB PD 65W charger. This is very disappointing.

I got my OP9P and I found it only charge at ~18w too, even on the lastest frameware. I'm really disappointed, I think that's the Oneplus, that's the company, which leave the OP7P still got 'not charging' issue (on PD) today.
Just a guess, but are you sure your chargers are PPS? I've noticed a lot say they are but if you read the reviews many people complain they won't fast charge their Samsung, which requires PPS.
I don't have the 9 Pro yet to test but I'd try to get a reputable PPS charger. Also, that Rav 65W charger isn't a PPS charger.

I bought this charger and it doesn't seem to want to quick charge my phone.
On your lock screen, does it say "charging" or "fast charging"?

Are you getting the charging icon in the upper right corner with the special symbol within the battery icon? A circle with the flash symbol inside.
A non-Quick Charge charging connection shows the battery icon with just the usual lightning bolt that you see on all other devices when charging.
But on the lock screen it should say fast charging and the battery percentage at the very bottom of the display.

I'm not sure why it's happening honestly.
I get the standard lightning bolt charging symbol up top, and just "charging" on the lock screen. It isn't fast by any means either.

Are you using a USB C to USB C cord? I see both of those have C to C ports. Those are going to be fast charging. Just get a C to C cable and you'll be better
Fast charging USB A ports are colored orange - those have green or black which would not be fast charging ports.
If you read the description on the first one, it says the USB c port is the QC port and the USB A port is "AiPower Adaptive Charging USB-A port with dedicated 2.4A output" which is NOT QC and is not recognized by the V20 as a fast charger

Which one are you ordering? They have different kinds(depending on # of ports). If the one you're getting has an orange USB A plug - that is QC 3.0 (Aukey likes to color code their stuff)
This is one I just bought and use at work - see how it has an orange port vs the green port of the one listed above by gchild00http://forum.xda-developers.com/v20/accessories/aukey-3-0-car-charger-t3494667/post69527312

Hi Thanks for the suggestion.
Unfortunately, yes I am using a USB-C to USB-C cable and just getting a regular charge I emailed Aukey and they are going through some troubleshooting steps with me. One suggestion was for me to try it on another phone but I don't have another phone with USB-C to USB-C quick charging capabilities. I've also tried different cables to no avail.
Funny thing though is that I'm seeing the same issue with a Tronsmart Quick Charge 3.0. I emailed Tronsmart and they told me that Quick Charge 3.0 is not supported on the LG V20 but is on the LG G5. I don't think that's accurate but checking the Qualcomm website and the list of supported devices that was updated on 09/26 it looks like the V20 is not listed.
However, it seems that this may not be an accurate list and it seems that others have been able to get the QC 3 functionality....perhaps I was sent two faulty chargers from two different manufacturers????

Thanks so much. I must have missed that. I sent the link to Tronsmart to prove to them that the v20 support QC 3.0.

Just wanted to provide an update concerning at least the Tronsmart QC 3.0 charger. So after sending multiple pictures to Tronsmart of their charger providing a regular charge and the stock LG charger providing a fast charge they determined that because the LG V20 is a newer device that they have another product that can provide QC 3.0 using USB-A. My original Tronsmart model is W2P2TE but I was told that I can contact the seller and have them replace it with the W2PTU model.
https://www.amazon.com/Charger-Tron...01ER4J564/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_pdt_img_top?ie=UTF8
I'm a bit disappointed because I purchased several USB-C to USB-C cables to get QC 3.0 but now they are saying that their newer revision can do it with USB-A..that doesn't sound right to me. So I'll just send the product back to the seller and get a refund.
Also, on a side note for those that do have a QC 3.0 set up plugged into the LG V20 using USB-C to USB-C cables, does the V20 say fast charging (just like with QC 2.0) or does it say rapid charging?

That sounds completely stupid. If their charger is truly QC 3.0 then it shouldn't matter how new/old a device is. If the device supports 3.0 then their charger should work. Leads me to think that there is something wrong with their QC 3.0 management and they are not Qualcomm Certified (and in fact no where do they list that they have Qualcomm certification)
Even when you look at the description of that "new" charger it says QC 2.0 lol
Product Description
Tronsmart Quick Charge 3.0 USB wall travel charger.
1 Quick Charge port compatible with Quick Charge 2.0 and 1 Type-C port. 33W total
Also it looks like it is not Benson Leung approved (in fact he went on to say it violated some USB type C regulations)

I have 3 different QC 3.0 chargers and all are giving me the Max output (that my USB multimeter can read)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/v20/help/charging-speed-t3495600/page2
All 3 of those are giving me 9.2v @ 1.67A for 15w of power and would fluctuate as a QC 3.0 charger is supposed to. That 15w is the limit of my USB multimeter so I'm waiting on a new one that can read higher to see if they can hit 18w of power (but seeing as how the chargers instantly pegged 15w I'm inclined to believe they'll do 18w).

So far only those 3 - Aukey wall charger and car charger and an AIcase wall charger.
Haven't uses an Anker product as of yet and with the revelation that Google may kill Qualcomm QC in future releases of Android I'm gonna hold off on buying anymore

Yes I am thinking for the same sounds like qc3 is more a transition product
I bought this one here to keep in my wife's SUV (we both have V20s). It has dual QC 3.0 ports. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01B2BMIMS/
I also bought a 5-pack of Aukey braided USB-C to USB 3.0 cables https://www.amazon.com/AUKEY-USB-C-Cable-Braided-3-3ft/dp/B01B634WNK/, and they work great with it. Shows the fast charging icon on both ports of the car charger. Unfortunately, I don't have a tester to check the power output.

Thanks for the Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 information. :good:
Do you have the Anker 18W USB Wall Charger https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016LO4UTA/ in hand? I am trying to get hands-on validation vs theory.
I rather not spend $25 https://www.amazon.com/forum/-/Tx3AP6362WYWF2K/ref=ask_dp_dpmw_al_hza?asin=B071HYYB4P "Another 15W QC3.0 certified charger could supply TurboPower to the Moto G5 Plus We don't want to definitively state there is not an equivalent charger to this one for the G5 Plus, but there should not be a superior alternative as this charger was specifically developed for the G5 Plus."

Does anyone have a Quick Charge 2.0 wall charger in hand to confirm it charges with TurboPower? If yes, what is the model #?
I rather spend less money on a Quick Charge 2.0 wall charger than a 3.0 since the use case is to charge at the office. Ex. $10 for the SPN5864B

as i once wrote here https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5-plus/accessories/chargers-t3584554
this charger http://www.gearbest.com/iphone-cables-adapters/pp_322054.html does turbocharge the g5 plus without issues
I have multiple QC2 and 3 chargers around the house, and they all work fine
they always will because TurboCharge is just rebranded QuickCharge
SPN5864A = success!
I purchased a SPN5864A Wall Charger with a SKN6461A usb cable for $7.49 USD on ebay - LINK
"Motorola DROID Turbo 1.6 Amp Rapid Home Wall Charger SPN5864A - Super Fast Rapid Charging Charger - 15W of power - 1.6 Amp charger. Will charge Motorola devices with Adaptive TURBO Charging technology built in at an even faster rate! "
While the lock screen did not show the words fastcharge or turbocharge; AccuBattery did show the night and day difference. Screen caps of the old 463 millamps (mA) vs new SPN5864A charger 1989 mA pasted below.
Guess I'll go with the SPN5864B
Any Samsung charger for one of their last 3 or 4 flagships should work just fine. I literally have a bag of Samsung chargers from the S5 and S7 that all have the same ratings and work to Turbo charge the G5 Plus just fine. I use the Samsung charger at home and leave the Turbo Charger at the office.
I have a Asus Zenfone 2 18w charger (9v 2a, 5v 2a) and turbopower works perfectly when charging the G5 plus with it (got around 2400mah readings on Ampere app). Just in case anyone has one laying around, it's an option.
We use these around the house and for travel and they all work as you would expect.

I can add links to the chargers if someone wants, I'm just too lazy to do it right now.
The Samsung adaptive fast charging brick works for me

Just ordered Xiaomi 10000 Power Bank 2 link --> https://www.gearbest.com/power-banks/pp_492337.html?vip=4087096 <-- and Turbo Charge works fine as well.
I bought a genuine SPN5864A on eBay for 7$. It has performed as intended since I received it.

I have the 3 meter one and have used it with the 65 watt OEM plug. https://nomadgoods.com/products/usb-c-lightning-kevlar-cable
I have multiple of those cables from NIMASO, which are rated for 100W USB-PD.
Amazon.com (ASIN: B07QPNRGYH)
https://www.amazon.com/NIMASO-USB-Charging-MacBook-ChromeBook/dp/B07QPNRGYH/
Works fine with the 65W charger and the 50W WarpCharger.
I used the Apple USB-C 2m cable and it successfully Warp Charged at 65 watts
Here is the link.
This one DOES warp charge but at a much slower speed and wont work in my car with the USB-C adapter and Android Auto. So I do not recommend.

No. As I said it does 65 watt charging on my Oneplus9pro with the OEM USB-C charging plug.
Your better going with all stock fast charging equipment. When you have a fast charging problem* it makes troubleshooting easier.
I would avoid extra long cable at all costs. If they use the same gauge wire you are increasing the electrical resistance.
Just more to go wrong... been there, done that.
*eventually you will. Erratic fast charging is a symptom of a battery failure. Something you want to catch asap to avoid device damage.

Air core transformers like this are inefficient and since the secondary winding is inside the phone it's waste heat is too.
Rather than the heat being dissipated externally in the brick, it adds more heat to the charging process ie raising the battery charging temperature.
So it's maximum wattage is dictated by these practical considerations.
Cable charging being the preferred method.

Apple Tax : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MFi_Program
Cable manufacturers using the lightning connector have to pay Apple a license, hence why Apple cables are always more expensive cos....well....Apple.
Ahh...Sorry I misunderstood you. I have a couple of iPhones. They sit on my shelf unless a friend or family member asks me to help them with something. I think most of us in here ain't big fans lol.
Use a nu-wave cable. Compatible with warp charge VOOC, and other charging technologies I will link them below:
oneplus warp charging cable
vooc magnetic cable
iPad magnetic cable (also works on iPhone)
Note these cables are magnetic. The cable and plug are separate. It is designed that way to protect your charging port because you don't have to remove the plug. So no wear and tear.
HI Does anyone know of compatible chargers from reputable Companies. (UK plug style too)
It really does seem the that we have to use a USB 2 port that supports the extra pin, Even QC4.0+ chargers don't seem to get to MI Turbro. ( I test a linkOn charger) The only one that comes close is a charger from WJOY I randomly got from amazon but its not full 33w speed.
Oh Thanks for the thread on compatible cables...

Anker Nano II 45: 12 watts
So far I could only reach the 33 watts with the original charger...

Which chargers other than the original stock and the Spigen one will charge the Pixel 6 Pro at full 30w?
I see there are 30w from Anker and even Amazon Basic, would these charge at full speed?
You just need a PD 3.0 (or higher version) compatible charger that can do 30w or more. The rest matters not, it's an industrial standard.

Will these chargers work at 30w on the Pixel? I have a ton of these at this point, including a car charger. Would be cool if they worked correctly at full speed.
I bought an extra (already got one) original 45W charger. I know it's overkill and a rip off, but whatever. At least it will charge just about anything USB Type-C, right?

Don't know yet, but hopefully we can test it out soon...
30W and 50W WARP wireless charging is only for OnePlus phones. The OnePlus 30W wireless charger does max. Qi charge at 10W, and the OnePlus 50W wireless charger does max. Qi charge at 15W.
The Pixel phones are locked at max. Qi charge of 12W with any wireless charger other than Google's wireless charger.
That's no where near the 23W capability from Google wireless charger.
See here: https://9to5google.com/2021/10/19/pixel-6-tidbits-plastic-top-wireless-charging/
Edit: I think I misread someone's question...my post was only directed towards wireless charging.
I believe Samsung chargers use the PD standard and should deliver a fast charge.
Any PD charger of at least 30W will give you the max charge speed. I doubt there will be a big difference using the 18W Pixel chargers from older phones. I'll be using a 10W wireless charging pad I got on Amazon a couple years ago that is connected to an 18W Pixel charger. It will charge overnight so how long it takes doesn't matter. I use this charger for my Pixelbook. It has 2 PD ports and a usb-a port. It will work for the new Pixels and does super fast charging for the new Samsung phones. A phone will only draw as much power as it is rated for so the 65W rating won't hurt your phone. It would charge 2 Pixel 6's at the same time at 30W.

I can't confirm, but I'm 99% sure they will not charge at 30w. OnePlus does 5V at 6A to get 30W. This is not a PD standard. At best you'll get 5V3A so 15W.

I have this charger https://zendure.com/products/superport-s3 it's a dual PD 65W charger and it still charges my Pixel6P at a ridiculously slow pace. Even with adaptive charging off. It's also a USB 3.0 charger that charges all my other devices very fast except for my P6P so there has to be something more to it IMHO.
EDIT: According to this article https://www.androidauthority.com/best-google-pixel-6-chargers-3041818/ There are 3 standards required USB 3.0, PD and PPS mine doesn't appear to have the latter so maybe that's why.
It can't be any PD 3.0. It has to support PPS protocol. Most charges that don't explicitly state that they support are not good (for P6/P6P 30W charging). For example this anker one is PD3.0 PPS one.

It's nice the pixel 6 tells you whether your connection is a fast or slow charge. I picked up a $16 PD PPS charger at AMZN and the P6P shows it is fast charging. The AMZN listing showed it as iphone 13 series compatible but no mention of the Pixel 6 line.

Because to some people only Apple exists and marketing material MUST mention Apple. All other OEMs are an afterthought.
Luckily, all other OEMs also aren't Apple, hence they tend to prefer standards over proprietary crap, so 99% of the time you can assume that accessories will work anyway.
