I used bin4ry ver. 30 to root 8.4.1. today I discovered I was OTA upgraded to 8.4.3. However, I still have root and Google Play Store. Tested by downloading Android Firewall and gave it root access permission. I thought the OTA upgrade would break root???

I rooted earlier today without any trouble. I thought I was on 8.4.1 but when I just looked I was at 8.4.3. Not sure if I rooted before or after the update. I disabled OTA with KF First Aide so I thought that it wouldn't update. Either way, I'm rooted and on 8.4.3 with all the google goodies installed and running.

Hello everyone,
after flashed Android N, I've tested twrp 3.0.0 and supersu 2.68. If you change the vendor, putting one of MMB29V version, it will be the decrypting data, but when it flash a supersu, the installation is successful, but when you restart the phone, the system is not rootato. How I can fix this issue? Thanks a lot

I also have a problem after flashing Android n the root access and
Twrp is gone please tell how to install it again
Same issue here...I dont think it is possible, easily anyway. If you notice after it boots back into TWRP your internal storage is displayed as empty. All storage is. It says the installation is succeessful, but I think after it pushed the root files to ypur phone and rebooted to flash them, it could not as the files were no longer there......I don't know though.....Good luck!!

Regarding Root I have used phh's modified boot image from somewhere in XDA the link of which I forgot and fastboot flashed. With that I have installed phh superuser from Google play store and root works. However, some apps doesn't approve the SuperSU and busybox doesn't get installed. Meantime, there are multiple boot images for rooting N. If interested you can try the images one by one and post your results here
Here is root for N

As I see for now - it's stable enough, and all my apps I had before works fine - except QuickPic, so I use the Google photos.

So let's try to search it.
Chainfire will do it soon.

I'd suggest posting your issue in the SuperSU thread.

Delete fstab.marlin in the file explorer while in TWRP then try installing. Saw this is super su thread and it worked perfectly

Boot into recovery and look for a file called fstab.marlin or something along those lines and delete it then reinstall and it will work

I just recently installed a stock(-bloatware) ROM from here which is pretty nice but I can only install apps from the play store. Otherwise I get the parsing error. I've checked the box for installing from unknown sources to no avail. Anyone know what I need to do? Thanks

Do a nandroid backup and I would flash stock, which is the most stable of all
You can download stock files to flash with Odin here
If this problem does not appear in stock, then the ROM is the culprit
I would suggest just finding another ROM, I stuck with Kit Kat for the hercules (Carbon ROM) since it's more stable than the newer ones coming out
Hope this helps
It has been released but I cannot install it for some reason. But either way it's finally out!

I can't get it to install with the stock recovery. Says the recovery doesn't have access to /data/media/0. Also tried sideload and it had some driver control error.
