Broken Screen A705FN - Samsung Galaxy A70 Questions & Answers

Hey guys, I have a problem with my A70. The screen is black and the touch is also defective and nothing can be seen on the TV with the HDMI hub. I flashed TWRP on my cell phone, activated USB debugging and the stick rom is up. USB debugging is possible via TWRP, only I can't get the phone mirrored on the TV (in the Stock Rom) Is there any solution to mirror the phone without having to have the display repaired ...?

AFAIK your device is not supported by Samsung dex. And I don't know another method without replacing the display.

Need a lot of help! ZF2 Z00A

I need help, my ZF2 suddenly cannot be detected by my windows 7 laptop and pc. When I tried to plug in usb 3 port, it wont get detected. If in usb 2/1 port, it will be detected but with the yellow exclamation mark. I tried updating mtp but it wont update (shows device is up to date). I tried reinstalling ROM and factory reset thru the ROM, but still not working.
I returned to stock but still it wont get detected on my pc or laptop. I ****ed everthing up when I returned to stock since I cant root it back anymore since it wont get detected by adb.
Evereything is up to date including 15sec adb installer 1.4.2 or 1.4.3 and intel usb driver 1.10 from 1.9.
I will try to reformat thru stock recovery and see if it will work. But before doing that, any suggestion or ideas?
Does it charge while connected to the laptop?
Have you tried using other micro USB cables?

Anybody? Suggestions? Ideas?

Can you check and see if fast charging works?

I used to have a twrp 3.0.0-0 recover then flash .165 recovery then flash .165 stock ROM. And after reboot, still cant get detect by any port. It just charged my phone. Then I updated to .174 but still no detection.

Still usb device malfunction code 43. Thanks man
I had the same issues when my Zenfone's chip set fried - PC did not recognise the phone, phone did not recognise USB drives, fast charging not working. To be precise what happened: one day I plugged in the cable (original one, with original charger), the phone showed high temperature warning and shut down. Then after a while I turned it back on but USB wasn't working any more, except for the slow charging. Sent in for a warranty repair, it was stuck there for like 2 months before they sent me a new phone.
Had the same problem, it turned out that my zenfone 2's charging port and microphone had been damaged. Replaced the parts from a third party repair man as my warranty was void. He returned me a very well functioning and no more problematic zennie within a week
It surely isn't a software problem..
Hope it helped..

I went to a 3rd party repairman and he said he just replaced the flex data cable or something like that, he also said it is common for zenfone smartphone. Then my phone is detectable again.

Restore Apps data from a soft-bricked Note 2 N7105 (faulty hardware)

Hello experts,
I have Samsung Note 2 N7105 32GB that is soft-bricked. I happened without any trials for flashing. I was skiing one day and went back and everything was good. The next day i left my phone home to charge. and since then it is a boot loop. when i try to switch it on, or sometimes just when USB cable is connected it tries to boot. I get samsung logo and then "downloading", like the attached picture (sorry, i can't add a picture. ask me if it 's needed)
When i tried to install original firmware using different Odin versions including v3.6 and v3.11 i get error message something like "PIT is not available" or "Cannot find PIT", even when i repartitioning option is selected.
So what i thought is that it is a HW issue.
The phone does not go into restore mode (it entered restore mode once, but not any more) but it can go to download mode and i can see there the device model and all other details. first i thought of SDS but for me it might not be the case, because it was long time after the SDS was detected and i have already updated the phone firmware to the latest version. Also i read that a faulty eMMC would result to not show the device name on Odin Mode (But may be i am wrong) and what i read is that the 32GB version is less likely to have it.
I took it to Samsung Customer Service and they wanted to fix it by changing the main board, which is pretty costy for such an old phone, and what i really want from the phone is the data.
Can someone help me to suggest how to get the data out of the eMMC? Any help would be appreciated
post a picture of your download mode..
does it show model number????
if it doesnt not show model number it could be SDS(sudden death issue) famous for note 2 series

Thanks for your answer. I am not allowed to post links, because I am a new memeber. But in downlaod mode i can see the model number. That's why i don't think it's SDS. Now, I want to restore my app data instead of changing the mainboard
Are you using the original Samsung USB cable to flash the ROM? Have you tried different USB cables and USB ports?

I tried both the original USB cable and other USB cables. For me it seems a HW issue. Could someone help me to diagnose it?

Help: Need to enable OTG mouse at welcome screen on ZE550ML

Hi there fellas, I have a zenfone 2 Z008 pure stock condition. Now the digitizer failed all of a sudden,I tried to reset the device thinking it was a software bug.I thought otg mouse would save my ass but it didnt. Now, am being shown a welcome screen at which the OTG mouse goes absolutely undetected. So, I have no clue how to proceed further. On top of that the bootloader version shows "unknown"
Should I unlock bootloader and stash twrp..and then install a custom firmware like CM or RR which I witnessed the OTG mouse working with my other devices running them.
Or should I flash the latest official firmware thru stock recovery hoping the updates might have enabled OTG mouse functionality at welcome screen.
plzzz I want to repurpose this device as a stand alone hotspot.
Any ideas?

2nd Gen Fire TV (sloane) ethernet port not working

As the title states, my 2nd Gen Fire TV 's ethernet port stopped working.
I'm not sure when this happened as it was also connected to the wifi before so whenever it stopped working it must have just changed over to the wifi unbeknownst to me.
Anyway, I have an ethernet cable hooked up to it but it doesn't recognize it.
I have checked the ethernet cable on another Fire TV that I have and it works fine on that one.
I was just curious if this is a common problem with these boxes or is there anything I can check or try to get it working again?
Both of my Fure TVs are rooted although that shouldn't matter other than possibly making them easier to check or change stuff on.

From twrp do a full wipe and reflash fireos firmware.
You're ethernet should then work again.

So you think it is a software problem?
I was thinking it may be a hardware issue since it was working fine and then just stopped all of a sudden.
I will definitely try your suggestion though as I plan on unlocking the bootloader on this one as well.

Yes, sometimes ethernet/wifi drivers and files can become corrupted.
Flashing fresh firmware should sort your problem.
Let me know how you get on.

If you're not unlocked or don't want to unlock your bootloader just flash rbox latest prerooted again. This should solve your ethernet issues.
Leave the ethernet cable disconnected whist you do so and complete registration via wifi til you get to home screen. Then enter network settings and plug your ethernet cable back in.

So unlocked the bootloader and flashed the latest stock OS 5.2.7.7 and Magisk and plugged in the ethernet cable after setting everything up over Wi-Fi and it still doesn't recognize that there is an ethernet cable plugged in.
I know the ethernet cable is good as it works perfectly with my other Sloane Fire Tv.
Any other suggestions?
Are there any commands I could run in ADB to check or enable the ethernet port?

Hey , I don't think there is im afraid . If you're ethernet isn't showing up after reinstalling firmware its looking more like a hardware fault after all.
You could disconnect WiFi enable usb debugging and run:
logcat
via adb to see what errors are showing .

Fire TV Stick 4K/Mantis, unlocked bootloader, TWRP isn't recognizing inputs?

Hello,
got a weird problem: I have a bootlooping Fire TV Stick 4K/Mantis, which has an unlocked bootloader and TWRP with fallback mode installed. Now suddenly after a botched recovery the stick doesn't recognize input by USB anymore - or, it *sometimes* does, but it takes a lot of effort. I can boot into TWRP after a lot of tries, but my inputs don't get recognized there, either. I did get a second USB OTG hub yesterday to rule out my old one being faulty (which I also successfully used in TWRP previously), but the new one doesn't work, either.
Can anyone can point me into a direction I can try to get this stick running again?
Thanks in Advance!
EDIT: Oh man. Right after posting it occured to me that while I *did* get a new OTG adapter I haven't tried another mouse for input. Turns out my old USB mouse is dead. m( Sorry for wasting all your time for reading.
