MIUI 12 to Custom ROM

Hello, I wanted to install a custom rom, but I have MIUI 12.
The tutorials I see are for MIUI 11.
Any solution?

u need to downgrade to miui 11 android 9, then follow the instructions in the megatread

Is there any kernels that work on the new Oxygen Os 11 beta? I know that's too new to be tested but please write in this thread when u know kernels that work.

What happen if I flash custom rom with different android version than im using right now? Im on Android 12 planning to switch from android 11 based custom rom. Thanks.

I don't quite understand your question whether you are on 12 planning to switch to 11 or on 11 planning to switch to 12.
I may have (I really forgot, but my miui had one really slow update process) updated my miui to android 12, and installed lineageos 18.1 (android 11) and I have no problems so far aside from the auto brightness acting erratically.

Check the recommended firmware required by the custom rom
