People please advise... :?
Have Galaxy Tab GSM 7inch P1000 possibly bricked (I suppose) as it showing no charging when it's on charge and no reaction on power button...
Any advise whagt I can do with it as it belongs to my little sister.
I tried to upgrade via Kies when it was downloading something and PC fall in a sleep mode. On resume it had lots of tables while TAB had mobile+triangle+PC symbols.
Left it like that for couple hours and now it completely non reactive....
Any advice on this....
Hello,
So last year I took the plunge and got myself one of these extremely overrated fancy touch screen phones. Ever since day one, I've been having issues with the phone not communicating with the USB, yet my A516 had no problems, aren't newer phones supposed to be better?
It's not driver related or computer related. My brother has the same phone and his communicates with the PC all the time with no issues, his is the T-999
Last year, I used his cable and it worked after a few tries with my phone, and was able to quickly root it, but after that it shat the bed again.
I tried again last week and it worked both on my laptop and my PC, but now it has the same problem, very frustrating.
I've tried a few USB cables and a few computers as well, all end up with the same problem. I used KIES, the Snapdragon Toolkit and the drivers off of Samsung's website. I even installed Linux on my PC hoping that it would solve it, but nope, nada.
Jiggling the USB cable on the phone does not do anything either
Anyone have an ideas what it could be?
As of now, I am running a Rooted S3 I747 with AOKP 4.2.2 Build 3.6.2013
Thanks.
EDIT:
When using the S3 Toolkit, there is a serial number, but it shows it as offline.
Hey Guys,
i hope you can help me.
I have a Galaxy W and I'm using arcos CM10.1 for a while now. 3 Weeks ago I decided to update to arcos latest Beta 4. It was running as good as always for the 3 weeks - but as I went to bed on Friday evening my Wonder had about 50% battery and when I woke up it was turned off. At first I thought the battery collapsed, so I tried loading it but it didn't help. My Mother also has a Galaxy W, so I put in her battery, but it didn't help either.
The Problem is: no matter what I try, when I push the Power-Button the screen stays black and nothing happens. No vibration or anything. So I'm not able to boot in recovery or anything else.
Is there anything I can do? Do you think this is a Hardware-issue?
I'm barely over the warranty, so sending it to Samsung is no real option.
There were a lot of photos on the internal SD-Card - is there a way to save them?
Thank you guys! :crying:

The same thing is happened to me the battery from 70% is dropped to 0% and the next morning I can't power on but when I tried to charge my phone I saw the charger animation so I waited until the battery is upped to 100%.
I think it's an overheathing problem cause now my battery works fine:good:
Thanks for your Reply!
The problem is even if I put it on the Charger - nothing happens...
That means I don't see the charger animation either...
And I tried different cables (USB and DC) ...
Any other idea?

Mine didn't turn on, got a JTAG, it worked fine (is dead now, fell in water, got new one) You should try that, if not fixed. Then the logic board is dead

That sounds great
So I did some research and found out, that such a JTAG (I found "RiffBox") is about 150$
Isn't there any cheaper method?
I mean if I spend 150$ I could nearly buy a new phone...
I found UnBrickableResurrector on xda.
But I'm not sure if it works for our device
Has anyone worked with that before?
Or knows a cheaper JTAG?
EDIT: Found someone to borrow an USB Jig. Will try this at first.
Also I found a local phone repair shop - they'll do a JTAG for about 25$, so if the Jig won't help it's worth a thinking...
I'll write again if I know more :fingers-crossed:

Great find, see if that supports our Wonder, and the cheapest JTAG here is around 12$, But trust me, it is worth it.
jtag usb jig diy guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/help/guide-how-to-make-usb-jig-reset-binary-t1604707
That thread is for USB jig only......
The chances are that a jig WILL NOT WORK......it takes a bootlooping phone and forces download mode.....if your phone is totally unresponsive.... eg not even powering on to get as far as bootloop....the jig will be useless.
I think the only option is JTAG......
but I think that it might delete the files that you are worried about.....
Check with the repairer first.
Also find out if you will still be charged if the JTAG fails.....
My wife says I'm a phone geek....She's probably right
Hey Guys, sorry for the late response.
It seems the Galaxy W is dead - no USB Jig and no JTAG could revive it
Looks like the hardware is dead. So I had to order a new phone.
I'm now proud owner of a Google Nexus 5, which is really awesome
This was put off for a while because it happened before, so I at the time I had another s3 (busted digi), was another T-mobile variant. And I just switched mobos and speakers (oddly didn't work with "broken" mobos one). So after I finished that it booted and everything worked fine. Fast forward a few days and I installed 6.0.1 cm13 (unofficial I believe).
I had tried a ton of roms, but onto the point, there was another rom I wanted to try and guess what, it didn't work. It didn't kill the mobo (other didn't either), but it doesn't want to boot into the os, nor recovery nor even odin. BUT, it's still being read by my laptop, as in I can hear the connecting and disconnecting sounds, and it even charges for about 5 or 6 seconds before shutting off.
It still plugs in charges, but it won't boot. Can anyone help? or point me in a direction that would help?
I've heard of Jtags and all that, but atm I can't exactly do that, nor do I trust it very much. So any help would be amazing, I really love this s3.
If you found something let me as well because i did the same.
But sadly mine isn't even charging but i do hear it connect to my laptop and led turns on if i take out the battery and connect the wall charger.
This is not my device so please help me fix it asap.
message me if you could talk to me on hangouts.
Does anything appear on the screen? Does the phone show up as a new device named "QHUSB loader", or something like that, in Device Manager?
Hi, I've got a Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 (GT-N5110) which won't turn on.
I've charged the battery up and tested it, and it has slightly greater than the voltage stated on the battery label. When charging, the usual charging battery symbol, normally seen on a switched off and charging device does not appear.
I've got some important photos and files on it and thought if I bought another (used) Note and transferred the motherboard from the old (dead) device to the new one that I might be able to get them back, but having done so, I've had no luck - it still won't power on with the old motherboard in the (new to me) replacement tablet.
I've now reinstalled the motherboard back onto the replacement device, and it works fine again.
My understanding is that I can't transfer data from the dead Note 8.0 to the new one if it won't switch on. Can anyone confirm if this is correct, please?
Does anyone have any ideas that I might try to get my files off my old (dead) device onto the new one (or anywhere else) please?
Grateful for any advice anyone can offer.
Many thanks in anticipation.
You need access to the internal memory to retrieve the data. If the SOC failed the data is lost. Otherwise...
A data recovery specialist may be able to retrieve them. Probably around $800.
Thanks, and thanks for coming back to me so quickly.
