I had my phone rooted until the update for the Magisk App where my google store app and google play services stopped working. I am on the June 5 software currently and I am un-rooted(my futile attempt at fixing this). I am considering updating software and re-rooting. I was hoping someone would be able to offer some insight.

Any particular reason you are 9 months behind on updates?

I'm running on rooted XT1060 Android 4.4 and bought a Moto 360 a days after they came out. It was amazing and everything worked great.
Last week, the Android Wear app updated to 1.0.2 and now it's constantly force closing. Is anyone else having this issue? Or can anyone please point me to the older version of the software?

Please post questions in the Q&A section.
Also, I believe you will get more help from posting in the Moto 360 section, so I will this thread to the Moto 360 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

You have cleared app data for the app already? You could try wiping data for the google play services too. It is used for the communication with watch.
I have cleared data and cache from the app, factory reset the watch, and reinstalled app several times no avail.
The app works fine on my nexus 7, and I've tried restoring a working backup of the 1.0.2 software from tablet my phone, and didn't work either.
I'll try clearing play cache like you suggested.

Sorry for the late reply.
Clearing cache and data on Google Play didn't work either. I'm basically at a loss, short of just wiping my phone or waiting for Android 5.0 and praying it gets rooted on VZW Moto X 2013.
Same problem here, rooted VZW Moto X (XT1060) running 4.4 with Moto 360
Things I've tired so far:
Install/re-install, clearing Android Wear data & cache
Removed all other Wear apps
Cleared data & cache from Google Play Services
Factory reset Moto 360
Switched from ART to Dalvik & back
Direct install of v1.0.2.15 and v1.0.2.14
Upgrade from functioning v1.0.1.13 to v1.0.2.15 and to v1.0.2.14
Even tried to re-enable all of the pre-installed Moto bloat I had previously frozen
Multiple combinations of the above, with reboots between steps
Both of the most recent updates cause this issue for me:
Android Wear 1.0.2.1534065 (current, Oct 23 release) Google Play or apkmirror
Android Wear 1.0.2.1476973 (Oct 6 release) apkmirror
I can, however, still use the older version of the Android Wear app without issue:
Android Wear 1.0.1.1379611 (Oct 2 release) apkmirror
After looking through the logcat errors, it appears that Google Now is actually responsible for the repeating crash loops of the Wear app. Updating and clearing data/cache didn't seem to have any effect, but completely disabling Google Now does seems to solve the issue. Certainly not an ideal solution, but a temporary fix until Google fixes the issue.
Same situation here. Rooted VZ Moto X w/ 4.4 and constant force closes. I've tried everything with no success. So I'm back to the old version of Android Wear.

I wanted to write back and say that this did the trick. I can only hope Google and Moto play well together again, but losing Google Now is no big loss.

Can you post the link to the old version for those who want it? I couldn't track it down when I was looking.
Edit: I see it was posted above. Thanks for your insight!

Excellent Observation
Turning off Google Now does do the trick. I've lost all those handy Google Now notifications (weather, length of drive home, etc.), but at least the app isn't crashing all the time.
To further troubleshoot the problem, I wiped my phone since it had been a while and I have lots of potential problem apps installed (like Xposed). After the first clean boot I installed the latest Android wear successfully and everything worked fine. The instant that I set up Google Search/Now, Android Wear crashed. No other apps were installed. I know there were some reported issues with Exchange services, so I hadn't even set up my exchange account yet. So it's pretty clear that on rooted moto X (4.4) there's a problem between Android Wear and Google Now.
Finally, a fix!
A new release of Google Now was recently discussed on XDA portal.
This version seems to update Google Now to work properly with Android Wear and stop the repeating crash issue.
I assume this update will get pushed to Google Play soon, but you can get it now from the APK below.
From the article:
"The APKs are signed with official release keys, and will update your existing app without you losing any of your data"

That did the trick! Thanks!
Hey what play store version do you guys have? Mine is still on 4.9.13 and claims to be up to date. Apps also have been slow to update, got the phone on the 17th and I'm just now getting major apps updated. I've already cleared data/cache on the playstore and then Google Services. I guess I could always sideload the latest apk but let me know if anyone else has issues with updates. Beyond the normal time it takes them to trickle down obviously.

I updated to 5.0.32.
I had the 5.0.32 download from my G3 and just installed it on my Note 4
How is this preview on Pixel XL?
What are the issues that still exists?
Google Play shows device uncertified and Google Pay is also broken. Seems solid otherwise...

That's what I'm about to say but I'm rooted.
Is that the same without root, I was about to unroot and check ?

Yes Google pay is broken in this preview but are we able to update and download apps from play store?

Unrooted here. Locked bootloader as well. Have been able to update apps so far and Wells banking app and Netflix work, although they were installed under DP3.

I'm not sure if I fixed it myself or if Google fixed it but my device is now certified.
Last night I hid magisk in magisk settings Be rebooted but no change.
This morning I cleared cache on Google Play services and Google Play store and now it's all working!
Android pay working

Getting about 6hours SOT. Also, after clearing both Play Store and Play Services cache/data, and rebooting, I now have a certified device and was able to re-add my debit card to Google Pay.
Playstore uncertified is fixed now! Google fixed it today!
Google Playstore uncertified issue with Beta3 is now fixed. Just clear data of Playservices and Playstore and reboot. You will then have Certified PlayStore!
Is anybody's fast Charging not working after this update? Worked before. Not rooted

Seems about the same. I did a factory reset on DP3 that brought the battery life back. Maybe 20-30 mins more SOT?

Cool
Unrooted -
Google Pay works fine for me.
App suggestions now show in the app drawer. Also weather now shows on the lock screen (didn't show for me in previous beta - just had a blank space)
None of my apps crash and everything works fine.
Not the best battery life still (but that's more for my device being nearly 2 yrs old and being used heavily rather than any software issue).
How are you guys clearing cache for play store??mine says unidentified

Im on the new preview. Rooted. Honestly no issues at all that ive noticed. Love it.
I have and always have had my Play Store app settings to manual update, but I've just woken up to find the setting has changed to update over wifi and every app updated. The update happened 5 hours ago, but I went to bed 7 hours ago.
How the hell did this change?! I haven't even opened the Play Store for two or three days, so there's no way I could've changed the settings by accident. The only app I've updated in the last week is the camera and did that via an apkmirror download to get the new version as mine hadn't updated since May 2018 for some reason...
Because Google has ultimate control over your phone and can add /remove apps at their discretion.
Most likely you experienced a security update.
Either that or the latest Google Play Store that just came out. Just turn it off and it'll probably start off again. I prefer on because I love updates. LOL

I've noticed that this setting changes occasionally when the Play Store updates itself. I don't think the Play Store itself can be set to manual update.
Since today I'm getting constant Google Play Services FC and huge battery drain and also phone overheat because of Google Services.
Anybody else? I'm on 12.2.6.6 EU. Phone is almost unusable now.
It's apparently caused by recent Google app update. Reverted to factory version and now it's fine.
Can anybody confirm issue?
There was some google services error from google side....
Yes, confirm on 9 Pro this morning. I revert it and everything is ok now.
Strange, updated back after revert and it's fine now. Maybe we need to clear cache/data. But it's some kind of bug at Google's side. Many reports in Google Play store
Also safetynet is failing right now
No, safetynet passed. You must be rooted
Hi, I just thought I'd share this with y'all if y'all haven't seen it before. Check & double check please, because it's been a while since I last checked into the play service drain issue. Anyway I was just hoping this might could help someone and props & many thx to the dev gloeyisk.

Ok. So you will probably need to wait for Msgisk Hide update. Non rooted devices are fine.
