battery saving can't be turned off - Redmi Note 8 Questions & Answers

it's been driving me insane. as soon as my battery hits 75% the phone goes to battery saving mode. some apps stop sync, theme goes dark in the middle of the day and if a go to battery settings both battery saving and ultra battery savingare off, and the quick tile is off. the only solution i can think of is a factory reset. any ideas?
non-serious edit: apparently i'm a senior member. so show respect (?

I will suppose you have rebooted a lot of times so:
1) try turning on battery saver
2) go to the battery settings of each app that has a problem and set it to "No restrictions"

Samsung i780/Backlight dims&phone enterns flight mode on low battery/

When the battery meter reaches 10% the backlight automatically dims and there is no way to switch it on again. Is very frustrating because it basically forces you to either charge or change the battery before it's completely empty.
Also bellow 10% the phone enters in flight mode.
Any ideeas on how to overide that?
Thanks

AMOLED: Black wallpaper = Battery saving (experiment result)

If you followed our discussion in this thread:

It is about "AMOLED: Black wallpaper = Battery saved?"
As I promised, I have done a simple non-scientific experiment:
(1) At maximum brightness, screen on for 15 minutes
- Default wallpaper will consume about 5% (from 36% down to 31%)
- Pure black wallpaper will consume about 3% (from 30% down to 27%)
(2) At brightness = 20+%, screen on for 15 minutes
- HTC Black wallpaper will consume about 2% (from 26% down to 24%)
- Default wallpaper will consume about 3% (from 23% down to 20%)

All the above experiments was done in this condition:
- Wifi OFF
- Mobile network OFF
- GPS OFF
- Bluetooth OFF
- Screen at home screen with default HTC clock (white background with weather)
* The HTC Black wallpaper is available by default when you choose HTC wallpaper. It is not pure black, but it is still black
So, conclusion, using black background will save you battery life. The above experiments were conducted at 15 minutes each and you immediately see the difference.
I would say at low brightness, 20% - 25%, you will get 1% up to 2% battery saving per 15 minutes, let say 1.5% per 15 minutes. For 1 hour you will get about 6% battery saving.
Of course, of course, I know, who will stare at the home screen for 1 hour? But who knows? In the course of the whole daily use with the phone, how long do you think you scroll left and right in the home screen?
Or imagine you are browsing XDA forums a lot, every day. It would be better using the Android XDA app by Tapatalk because it uses black background instead of browsing via web which uses bright yellow background!
Also see how the brightness affect the battery life. My eyes is happy with about 20+% brightness
Again, this is non-scientific experiment, but it should give you rough idea how much your amoled screen uses battery power
PS: Yes, I have nothing to do this afternoon Too much time, He he he ...
i said so
thanx for conducting the experiment, this proves to people that say "black bg doesnt effect and is not worth it"
I just changed my default web browser home page, from:
http://www.google.com
To
http://www.blackle.com/
They will give you the same search result but really different background color.

Thanks for sharing but I don't have an Amoled screen to go and sit in the dark
I will charge earlier with bright vivid colors after 48 hours
Cheers,

thats just madness mate
Very very nice!! I am just using night mode on amoled screen using ebook reader with brightness off, i just say that energy save is uncredible.. Thank you!!
Red is better on the battery.
The Black Color Keeps And Saves the battery longer cause they turn the display and the LEDs completely OFF , that's a LED Display characteristic to turn off the leds of the area it want to show BLACK color & the main advantage ( ithink ) over an lcd , since u''ll have a "pure black" and saving power , but on a lcd even how much the LCD is of a high quality it's always ... grey ( since there is always a BACKLIGHT )
what a pointless experement get a job lol
at night what's the best option to turn airplane mode?

Yes, that would be okay! Because even in Flight Mode, your alarm should go off!
You have an enery saver, although, when you wake up and you forget to turn your Plane mode off, than you can't receive or make phone calls, so thats why I dont use it!

or use an app called sweet dreams
Timeriffic is better IMO.
so sweet dreams or timeriffic for alarm and battery savings?
For the ultimate battery savings, turn your phone off.... If you have it on airplane mode it is nothing but a glorified mp3/alarm clock. Turn it off and the alarm will still activate in the morning (or whenever you set it to go off).

Really?? Are you sure?
I was under the impression that when this phone is off, your alarm will NOT re-awaken the phone.

Anyone run in Power Saver mode all day ?

Just curious, for extreme phone users during the workday, has anyone tried using the M8 all day on 'Power save' mode ? Not the extreme mode, but the regular Power saver ?
How much does this mode save on battery life, compared to not using it ? But my typical settings, are no GPS, no Bluetooth, set screen to 50% - 75%, Greenify set to hibernate a lot of background apps.

Battery Saver + Tasker

Hello, I cannot find a way to have Tasker find out whether the 'battery saver' mode is ON or OFF. (h815p)
what i'm trying to do is to create a task that:
1 - checks if battery saver is ON or OFF
2 - if ON, turn battery saver off and set display brightness to 91
3 - if OFF, turn battery saver on and set display brightness to 255
i was able to get tasker to switch BS on or off (though not 'silently') - but there seems no way to know if BS if ON or OFF.
any help would be greatly appreciated!
PS. not sure why this feature is not discussed more in depth, it almost doubles my battery life with it.

orange borders battery and mode

Hi I'm on official lineage this morning I woke up to find the phone on some kind of battery saver mode with orange borders top and bottom. I was unable to turn this off from anywhere in the settings and had to reboot the phone.how can this be stored from happening.
You have to turn Battery Savor mode off to get rid of the orange status bar
But the thing Is it came on by itself overnight I didn't switch it on.
Bruh.. its in the settings. You probably enabled battery saver mode to turn on automatically at 15%.
Cool ill have a look in the settings.
