I've recently discovered that USB-C to 3.5mm adapters with no DAC don't work on the S20+, but it's very confusing to me as the stock AKG earphones that come with the phone do work. Do the stock earphones have a DAC? It doesn't look like it. Is there a way to use normal 3.5mm earphones without an external DAC?
Thanks

Hi all I have Vmoda headset for Iphone that I use with my Blackberry Curve. I was wondering if I will be able to use the mic while using 3.5mm adapter for my Tmobile Wing?
Thanks!
I'm hoping someone more technical than me will be able to help.
I've added an adapter to my car stereo that basically adds an auxiliary input. I plug my Fuze into the auxiliary input using the adapter that came with the Fuze, and listen to mp3's through the car stereo. This works well, but I don't really like having the adapter and cable always hanging from the phone.
I have a wired bluethooth headset that I don't use, similar to this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16875982140
So it's basically a bluetooth dongle with earbuds and a mic wired to it. I was wondering if I clip off the earbuds, and splice those wires into a cable with a headphone jack, then plug the jack into the auxiliary input, will this work for playing music over bluetooth throught the car stereo?
Yep, this works! But depending on the BT-profile you will get bad audio quality with mono-sound...
I guess you get better sound if using bluetooth-stereo headphones. They should have the A2DP-profile!
All,
I've been searching the threads for a male to male 3.5mm audio cable with audio controls and a mic. I got the Soul headphones for Christmas and it seems the only cable that would work are the Beats cable. I tried to order the cable from Monster's website but they are out of stock.
Can anyone recommend a quality cable?
I know there is the recommend cable: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Headphone-A...er_MP3_Player_Accessories&hash=item3ccdf9d049 or http://www.amazon.com/Replacement-A...id=1358377022&sr=1-1&keywords=beats+cable+mic. But it looks like it won't last a week.

Hello,
I have FiiO E11 portable amp which I can use with E4GT through 3.5mm jack. By doing this, the audio is converted and amplified by internal amplifier of the phone. I just want to bypass audio through micro usb port, so sound will be bypassed through phone's internal amplifier and go directly from Phone -> FiiO E11 via micro usb to 3.5mm cable which will be more pleasant to hear.
Question is - Does Cable like below work for this purpose?

I also found that JB 4.2 Dock audio is not working well. I am currently on CM10.1 JB 4.2.2.
All suggestions and inputs are appreciated.
Thanks,
Has anyone tried connecting an external mic for recording? I'm going to buy one with a 3.5mm plug and I'm wondering what sort of adapter I will also need.
I use this and it works well. It comes with an adapter and I tried with and without it. The Axon does require the adapter to use this Mic.
