Thanks!

Wired Headset --> 3.5mm audio jack?

Hi all,
Is there any way to get a converter to allow the XDA to output sound to a 3.5mm standard audio jack?
Want to use in the car on auxiliary input.
Is there a way?

XDA compatible with Nokia wired handsfree?

Hi,
Does anyone know which, if any of the XDA's are compatible with a standard wired Nokia handsfree headset with a 2.5mm 4 pole jack plug?
The reason?
I'm trying to use my XDA Orbit in a powered cradle on my motorcycle. This cradle has a 2.5mm 4 pole jack plug output which I have established is a standard Nokia fitting. If any of the XDA's had/have a Nokia compatible jack socket I can then order an adapter which allows connection of a headset and stereo output. I can then receive phone calls on the Orbit and listen to music/tomtom output!
Anyone out there any ideas ?

i used a standard nokia 2.5mm handsfree as basically a single earpiece when watching films so i know for definite that the audio part works, im not too sure about the mic.
just confirming the speaker works!
Nokia compatible
Thanks,
Thats a good starting point for me.

Convert wired bluetooth headset to car kit

I'm hoping someone more technical than me will be able to help.
I've added an adapter to my car stereo that basically adds an auxiliary input. I plug my Fuze into the auxiliary input using the adapter that came with the Fuze, and listen to mp3's through the car stereo. This works well, but I don't really like having the adapter and cable always hanging from the phone.
I have a wired bluethooth headset that I don't use, similar to this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16875982140
So it's basically a bluetooth dongle with earbuds and a mic wired to it. I was wondering if I clip off the earbuds, and splice those wires into a cable with a headphone jack, then plug the jack into the auxiliary input, will this work for playing music over bluetooth throught the car stereo?
Yep, this works! But depending on the BT-profile you will get bad audio quality with mono-sound...
I guess you get better sound if using bluetooth-stereo headphones. They should have the A2DP-profile!

Silly question. Can I use a standard 3.5mm Headphone/Speaker

On the G1 we did not have an option for a 3.5mm Headphone/speaker without using the adapter with built in speaker.
Now the EVO has both a 3.5mm Jack and a standard Micro USB Jack. When I tried to play music through my car stereo, the 3.5mm Jack on my double sided 3.5mm Jack cancels out the speaker, so I can't use the speaker on the phone.
I know it sounds complicated, but for normal talking, can I use the 3.5mm Jack with a standard Headset?
And for the car, would I need a special 3.5mm ---> 3.5mm (with built in speaker?) or do I use another MicroUSB--->3.5mm Adapter.

[Q]3.5mm headphone jack 90 degrees adapter + inline remote

Hello,
Does anyone have experience with a 90degrees adapter for the headphone jack? My headsets plug is straight, but it was too expensive to switch to another one.
All adapters I found online have 4 pins in and 3 pins out. Are there other ones or does the inline remote work with this kind of adapters?
