Everything about vince (updated 24/6/2021) (new Revenge os) - Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 / 5 Plus Guides, News, & Discu

Revengeos 4.0
i tried this rom few days ago and it's the most optimized rom ever due to it's kernel (starlight r2 kernel) which is not released yet as a custom kernel to flash (r2 not r1)and due to it's fluidity, less features and no customizationsdon't change the kernel of this rom if you installed it's the best for vincelink:https://sourceforge.net/projects/re...0-R-OFFICIAL-vince-20210513-1423.zip/download
All other roms with Android 11 still not optimized yet and have lagbut if you want another good rom you can try :havoc 4.6 (latest)nusantara (latest)
but remember Android 11 is not for gaming on vince it's just a smooth daily driver
Android 101-havoc os 3.11 or 3.9 (there is no big difference between them)2-nusantara a10 (lts or eol)
3_corvus os a10
android 9
1-aosip pizza by kenn2-havoc 2.9
Kernelsfor battery : DarkagesFor performance: unitrix perd 3.0 or sleepyfor balance : stormbreaker
......If you have 3g ram don't ever use miui based rom it will lag like android zombie
And for 4g ram the best miui based rom is one miui (you can find it in telegram channel of vince official miui roms)
and it will lag too because miui is a sh*t

where do i find it?

.

thanks brother

I have a problem, that the battery charge stays at 86, and it says full charge

Is there green tint issue in whatsapp camera present in that rom?

yes , just zoom 1.1x and it will be fix

I can't record videos, you don't know why that is

It is a problem in most of roms So use any app It is always better than stock recording

but it doesn't let me record on others like instagram or whatsapp

updated

.

I think the problem I had to record is caused by the kernel.

.

Sleepy kernel has additional magisk module for some ROMs out there like this:
Sleepy Powerhint v1
Did you flash it too when you tested the ROMs?
Do you think it will affect the result?
And also the most important thing, do you face camera focus issue using GCam?

Yes i did and it has recording issue (you can't run any screen recorder app or the system recorder and it's not smooth at all just sleepy r9 the only good version of sleepy kernel
And it lags alot in opening camera and closing
And Google freezes in video chat like omegle
So it's not good at all

Why do I have to have the latest firmware installed?
I have revenge os, it affects something if I want to install viper OS

1-flashing firmware is not necessary so flash it if you face some problems after flash rom like internet issue etc.
(flash it before flashing rom)

Android Open Kang Nougat Version works well. I am using it as my daily driver. Radio also works now in India, VoLTE works. Only video recorder doesn't work. There are few strange audio bugs but better using Nougat which gets new builds almost every day than stay stagnant on lollipop with no official updates.

Difference between the two :
~ Aokp
- Antutu Benchmark is lower than Aicp
- Buzzing sound during boot needs to be stopped manually
- Phone gets over heated on even little usage
- VoLTE is buggy
- Stock file manager does not read SD Card
- Battery drains very fast
~ Aicp
+ Antutu Benchmark score is higher as compared to Aokp
+ Buzzing sound automatically stops after boot
+ Phone does not get over heated quickly
+ Volte works pretty well
+ Stock file manager reads SD card
+ Battery life is better as compared to Aokp
That's all i found between the two, hope this info is enough for you.

After some configurations, i need reinstall AICP when choose custom notifications (dark mode) with Substratum (DNA Theme). The system no more showed home screen (interf. init. error). Only with new clean install this problem disappear.
But... this problem can to be of DNA theme and no of AICP ROM, but this configuration run perfectly on AOKP, however, in ModernUI Theme, exist one configuration (Two Columns in Configuration screen) what only runs how selected in AICP.
In general terms, i liked of AICP and is my new choice for use.
Sorry for my poor english, my language is other.

Stability and performance of oreo based roms?

Are the available oreo based rom better than the viper os 3.1.1 based on 7.1.2 wrt to battery life, performance and heating?
And can cam2 api be enabled on viper 3.1.1?

Yes you can enable camera 3 api on Viper. I have used Viper for a long time, it is really good I thing that it has been the longest time with out changing the rom. But the last 2 versions of AEX are realy realy good, i cant say better but realy close.I currently use aex, because I like tu have the latest software, even if I don't use the new features. Aex had some very big issues with performance, but they are fixed now.

Try nitrogen OS.. as smooth if not more than viper.. march security patches.. looks wise as well just like viper.. very good rom.. negligible heating.. dev is same as well for both jneto3000 .. i did not stay as i have weak network in my area and custom roms already suffer from weaker signal as compared to stock plus no video call in volte.. so had to go back to stock but definitely a good rom

It depends on the camera app that you are using. I'm not a fan of the stock camera app so I'm using Gcam which in my opinion is the best option.

In terms of general quality, I would say that any version of GCam is better than the stock camera; BUT, if you need the resources of the Pro Mode, so the stock camera is better specially for long exposure photograph.
Here on my CrDroid 6.6 I installed via TWRP the orignial camera via this link. But, I do have here GCam version that permits-me to shoot in RAW mode =)

If you're talking about Bluetooth speaker/headphone audio quality, I can't tell you that for now because I have no Bluetooth devices rn. But for the speaker, I would say it's pretty much the same. I'm on EvoX rn (and about to try another custom ROM) and I didn't have any problem about the audio quality.

The best rom for note 8?

Can it be the best rom for this phone? Now I have Pixel Experience, but it has too many bugs.
Try corvus 8.0. seems good to me.
i've tried panadroid, bliss, aosp extended, xiaomi eu weekly, colt, ressurection remix, corvus, havoc, crdroid, superior os
the best for me is unoffical bliss by bezke for better battery usage, ressurection remix for performance, aosp extended for ram management
I tried download Bliss, but was imposible. Always the link failed. I will try to download it again.
I will read something about corvus too.
Tried all so far. None were 100% to my liking. Always something wrong:
- no bokeh mode in portrait camera
- bad battery life
- no smooth scrolling (e.g. Chrome)
- bad wifi
- etc
The only ROM I can recommend (I'm using it) is MiuiMix. Based on MIUI(EU) with a few tweaks.

The wifi issues are the worse for me. Pixel it has, and miui.eu (10/12) it has. Not before in miui.eu stable(9/11) but is not a smooth rom.

bugs reported are from v7.1 and 7.2
i'm using 7.3 for 1 months and never face anything wired
(i even installed xposed and all module are working fine, every other rom is not 100% compatible with gravitybox and other xposed modules ...)
the only feature that is missing is gesture anywhere and it would be a perfect rom
miui11 and 12 are straight piece of crap
ram usage is 2gb (out of 6gb) after many optimisation and debloating (not to mention that there are some app that can't be freezed/removed)
(my device is 6/128 and i don't use gapps)

I am well aware of that on stock miui thanks.
This question was about MiuiMix supposedly a custom rom without all the "phoning home" etc according to the poster I quoted ( @tweakradje ) so I was looking for confirmation from him since he is using it.

Question Rom suggestion

i have been installing roms since the galaxy y and s duos moved to galaxy grand and s3 neo however its been an age since i have installed rom and im trying to unlock my mi 11 lite ne 5G and im thinking of flashing a rom but i know roms have their bugs and problems and i really don't want to compromise my phone but MIUI sucks so i want you to speak thoroughly about your experiences with the roms you have installed and suggest to me {im book nerd so i will read any comment no matter how long }
I would recommend LineageOS. I have been using it for several weeks.
LineageOS Device Support Requirements make sure everything works correctly.
one or more maintainers for a rom
OTA weekly update and latest android security update
great support
minimal
open source

I am using it. I don't use Google Pay. Some banking apps mistakenly think the phone is rooted and disable fingerprint payment or exit. I don't know how to fix it.
You may find a solution in this post. https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...r-xiaomi-11-lite-5g-ne-mi-11-le-lisa.4468087/
If there is no solution, ask there or in maintainer's chat rooms.

Paranoid Android is my daily driver rom now it's the most stable , smooth and battery efficent rom for 11 lite 5g ne.
Slow mo video also works with gcam and the stock miui cam is amazing for videos and pro mode. ( i use https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-BigKaka/f/dl22/ this gcam. )
Battery is also better than the latest stock rom no more camera lags like stock in this rom.
And thankgod there is no crappy Dolby audio mods that causes bug aur losses the functionality randomly. Thanks to @Adithya R
I tried other roms also if you want to know my experience. ( these review are based on the latest builds. )
LIneage OS20 ( keeping track of rooting was a hassel in that rom and no camera support so no HD video recording ).
PixelOS has habit of ( slowing down randomly ).
Xperience rom is good but it has a ( bug when you are using navigation the stock google phone dialer gets stuck a lot. )
Arrow os well it's ( interface also becomes choppy from time to time. )
Evoulution X OS well it's broken ( not stable. )
superior OS was good but ( it has no option for heads up display to turn off. )
Awaken OS well rom is excellent but ( the stock miui camera is not stable and the equaliser has bug ).

EU roms are always generally better than stock roms the ui is more smooth than stock miui because they remove a lot of bloatware that comes with the stock miui roms and EU roms gives you more features too. But the development is in past recent years is not that strong in EU roms you can actually live with the stock miui than flashing a EU roms. If you want just a little more functionality over stock rom and a better battery backup or smoothness you can definitely try EU rom. But like i said the development is not strong so updates are slow and the amount of features you get are closer to the stock so it makes no sense to some people to actually flash a custom rom that's just as good as stock.

I can shoot 1080p 60fps video. I am not sure if EIS is used.
Remember that AOSPA unofficial has unlimited Google photos upload spoof.
