Is there a mod or a file that can be edited to change vibration strength and/or speaker loudness? My Charge didn't vibe hard enough until VZW updated it 2 weeks ago.
I have the same issue with the vibration on the Nexus.
Is there a setting where we can increase the speaker output too? This one suprised me as I have thought Samsung was always loud enough, until the Nexus.
Just checking
Hello, i have just upgraded from an LG G3 to a zenfone 2 and I am not pleased with the sound quality.
I didnt like my g3's sound at first but with an app called g3 volume booster (playstore) and v4x I managed to make it sound better than an iPhone.
I tried v4x on my zf2 but after hours trying to make it sound good I gave up.
I find it low and really blank at low ends and mids, not crisp or full bodied enough.
V4X playback boost only works on tracks that are not 0dB, leveling them up.
Has anynody got any tips to make the sound of this phone better with software? Is the dac in this phone beyond repair?
I want to increase volume too, the way the app on lg g3 worked was by editing some values in some system file, is it possible manually in the zenfone 2?
I appreciate if anybody can help me, music is a big deal for me, and despite this, this phone is amazing.
Thanks
Hi guys. I just started to using it today and came across very odd issue. The vibration seems to be broken. I can barely hear it working and cannot find an option to increase its intensity. Is anyone facing the same? It sound just ridiculous for a phone that expensive.
My vibrator seems to be working fine. Only had the phone for a day so far tho.

Not sure how quiet it is for you, but I think they are all pretty quiet. If I had it sitting on a table I wouldn't hear it. If you root and use a elementalX kernel you can increase the intensity, makes a huge difference.

I am thinking about rooting it, and I regret I didn't do it first thing. After restarting the device the system message pops up a with "vibration intensity set to 70"...

With me occurred the opposite.
I'm so disappointed about that issue.
I simply loved the phone, but on the second day of use the strange vibration noise started.
For sure, in my case, is a manufacturing defect.
The vibration motor seems to be broken. The vibration mode is so intense, that it seems to make a "scratchy" sound at the end of each vibration. It's almost like the vibration motor is loose or something inside the phone is loose and the vibration noise gets worse.
And the worst of all is that I imported the phone to Brazil, and now I don't have any idea how can I receive support to my phone.
I've got Chinese version 128gb and using HTC ultra headset.
The sound is amazing and loud but when I raise the volume over 60% I get considerable amount of static! Not sure what's causing it.
It's very annoying and I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing such an issue?
NOTE: The popping/crackling noise is made by the motor, not a microphone/recording bug.

Hi, the closest problem i have found on the net is this https://www.ifixit.com/Answers/View/513240/Why+does+my+phone+rattle+when+it+vibrates it could be some screws to tighten a bit, hopefully it could be fixed like this, but i don't know how accessible is the motor.
I am also getting this noise on my F3, is this normal?

Even the crackling and popping sounds? How is your vibration for notifications? Weak or fine?
Nevermind I thought the gear grinding sound was also the problem, unless it is. I didn't get any crackling or pooping sounds.

When you say gear grinding, what sound do you mean exactly? I don't quite understand what you mean

The sound it makes when you slide the slider, without the loud noises from your video.

I think that is normal yes
Mine sounds like this when moving the slider. I like the (quite faint) sound actually
@Kom_zo
Hi again, got mine today.
Checked the haptic and same issue. I noticed it only happens on fast movement of the slider and imo it's software related.
The motor doesn't hick-up but the sound generated/related to the slider speed. In one way or another it can't reproduce the sound as quick as the movement.
Hope this get fixed with a sw update. Otherwise it's not that ok

Hi there, also getting the same damn thing, it's so frustrating to buy a brand new phone a getting this half-cooked hardware.... here you can appreciate the crunching sound in my terminal...
Quality control issues, this what happens when Xiaomi tries to sell such good hardware for such a good price during the pandemic.
I'm not sure if I'd personally ship it back if mine has the same issue, shipping fees to China/Europe is costly from Canada.
If the shipping fees and turnaround times is not that bad for you and the seller has a replacement policy then return it for a replacement.
Mine has the same problem, i think it's software related
I think it is software related too. That sound is almost gone when you change the haptic feedback in the gboard settings.
I could replicate this problem with two identic Poco F3 Smartphones (8/256gb), (left one crunching, right one normal , how it should be)

Thank you for this! So it is definitely a design flaw of the F3. I wonder what portion of devices shipped with a crunching sound to the vibration motor..
crunching sound this unnormal ?
oh, come on guys, grow up.
when, in the real life, will you go to the settings and slide up and down on the haptic feedback intensity bar like mad?
if there is no issues whilst operating phone in normal working environment then why would you care about it?
It has to be software, when you do the vibration test it goes well and nothing sounds, does someone with xiaomi.eu have the bug?
fixed in 12.0.4
