[Q] Vibe or Speaker mod with unlock&rooted CDMA? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Is there a mod or a file that can be edited to change vibration strength and/or speaker loudness? My Charge didn't vibe hard enough until VZW updated it 2 weeks ago.
I have the same issue with the vibration on the Nexus.
Is there a setting where we can increase the speaker output too? This one suprised me as I have thought Samsung was always loud enough, until the Nexus.

Just checking

G2 Call Volume

Is there any app/hack that can increase the G2's Call Volume? It's rather low.

Nope, it's hardware limitation, maybe you aren't holding it centered over your ear or you have a defective unit, because I noticed when I hold it wrong the sound isn't as loud as it should be
The in call volume should be fine. Mine is very loud. My Xperia X10 on the other hand was unusable and 3 replacements sucked balls as well. You probably have a defective unit if it's truly too low.
Louder G2
The only way I found out is an app through the market called louder volume hack v4.1 but you need root access and a custom rom for it to work other wise it will force close on ya. The app is $3.10 but I guess worth it if you want a louder speaker I think the speakers fine and nothing like the crappy speaker stock on the HD7 but I agree it can be louder.

My wife is going trough this same issue. At times the phone is loud, and others it's real low to the point she has to use speakerphone to hear. She will probably end up getting a replacment, but is dreading the swap out.

Low speaker volume (front)

Hey guys, I just got my SGSIII and I am suffering from low speaker volume when making calls. The back speaker works fine but the front speaker is very low when I put it to my ear, even when I enable extra volume. I actually traded somebody for this phone, so I'm worried that they may have messed it up somehow and not told me. It doesn't sound like it's been blown or anything, the sound is clear and crisp however it's just extremely hard to hear the person on the other end.
Have any of you experienced similar issues and is there a potential fix? I just got the phone, so I haven't had a chance to root it and load a custom rom, but is there any chance that may fix the issue?

[Q] Is there a fix for low volume, even though we aren't rooted?

Any help would be great! Volume in general is low, especially headset volume! Thanks!

I don't even think there is with root, to be honest. A custom recovery would be needed. With the T-Mobile Note 4, I just flashed a volume mod, but then my back speaker sounded like crap. Personally, I'd love to know why Samsung devices have the lowest freaking headphone output.
Without root I do not see that we can configure this at all. On my S3 and S4 rooted I was able to modify a file to increase the sound a bit.
I had also used a sound mod on each S3 and S4 and got the horrible noise distortion, so that is why I had messed with the file and made it not as big of a jump compared to the sound mod used. Then it was louder and still sounded good.
Just another reason root someday would be NICE...
On my S4 the file is located in System/Etc/snd_soc_msm/snd_soc_msm_2x_Fusion3_auxpcm
Is the volume on the Note 4 considered low? When I had my S4 I couldn't even hear it walking around in a grocery store but when I first heard the volume on the Note 4 while trying to change the ringtone, I literally jumped because it was too loud.
Don't set volume to 100% set it one click below and see if it is still low.
Has to do with safe hearing levels.

No Audio from speakers plus low signal issue

Hi
My wife has had this phone for 8 months now. For a few months she's been complaining about very poor signal with the phone - significantly worse than her last phone with the same network. To make matters significantly worse, about 2 weeks ago the speakers packed up entirely. No sound issues at all - whether ringtones, alarms or media - except with headphones plugged in or when on a call (and on a call the speakers still do not work, but the earpiece does).
Has anyone come across either of these issues before? I'm thinking that the next step is unlock and flash a replacement OS to see if there's some bug there or if it's a hardware issue. If it is hardware, we're probably just looking at getting a new phone - I've heard mixed things about the Wileyfox support.
If anyone has any suggestions, I'd be very grateful!
Not sure about speakers, but my reception is terrible too.
Me too... no audio from speakers
I've just had this exact issue start up on my WileyFox Swift 2X this morning. It was playing a YouTube video just fine and then all of a sudden the audio went out and it never came back! All I hear is a very faint tick, tick, tick, tick... noise where it should be playing sound. Such a shame because the device was working pretty alright before this issue.
(Plugging in headphones works okay btw. It's just the main speaker that's gone out.)

Ringtone / Speaker Volume really low ?

Hi all
Earlier i was going to buy a 2nd hand Pixel XL 128GB version.
I noticed that the ringtone volume and speaker sound is really low, my question is, can this be fixed via Rooting the phone ? & will it affect the speakers in any way ?
Thank you very much :cyclops::fingers-crossed:
Normal sound level is actually pretty good, but I must agree when one uses a custom ringtone like a mp3, for some reason it rings too low as much as you will have problems hearing it when it is in your pocket or bag or purse whatever.
As for the increasing sound level, some mods like viper can increase sound output to a desired level but it can also slowly degrade your speakers too, which I think not a big issue(I used it in my Nexus 6 for 2 years and as for 3rd year it still rocks.)
And ofc you will be needing root.
