Hello guys
I have a problem with my htc one m9
After battery replacement my camera is not opening and showing the same thing in the picture also the flashlight is not turning on . I tried using other camera apps like facebook etc but they also didnt work. The battery replacement was done by someone else.
So want can i do to fix the problem

hey there,i am using htc one X
when i turn on the camera ( using any camera launcher)or by default camera button it opens the camera for 2 seconds the camera stops and fone restarts itself..i have tried restarting/turning off my phone many times have also tried factory reset but nothing worked,if anyone can help me quickly i will be very thankful.. here are details of my phone
android version 4.1.1
htc sense version 4+
software number 3.14.707.24
htc sdk api level 4.63

Hi kravielex I had this when I was on stock ICS when I first got the phone. I had to send mine back to my provider to get fixed when I received it everything was working again but they didn't say what they had done hope this helps in some way

hi guys im looking a bit of advice i have repaired my broken s3 and cannot get the camera to work or the led torch ,more of a frankenstein job than a repair i bought a i747m rodgers with a broken screen and married it up to my front end of my i9300 , it works perfectly in every way accept the camera and led i have tried using other camera apps and torch apps but they hang and tell me camera app is in use , i have wiped everything rooted, cwm, factory installed then tried beanstalk rom and now running synergy rom but nothing makes camera function, i know the parts are easy to swap out but is it likely to be the main camera at fault or the front one i changed the ribbon cable that has the led on it but to no avail .any advice would be welcome ... great site by the way
Everytime I try to take a picture on my HTC One M8, it says that the duo camera is covered.
I've cleaned the lenses and also tried to use the phone on safe mode, but the problem still persists.
What can be done?
Could it be a hardware issue?

I sent device to repair, they reinstalled software MM and issue not returned.

I bought htc desire 816 dual from a year ago. Last month the rear camera isn't working. Actually it isn't recognized by phone as when I open the camera app it opens the front camera only... I tried different solution.. I tried downloading other camera apps.. Doing a hard reset.. And finally flashing the CM12 but the problem wasn't fixed... So any of you guys knows how to fix?,

It's been quote some time now that my HTC one m8's camera is making pictures upside-down and in very poor quality. The front cam has not got this problemen so it's only about the camera on the back. It all started when I downloaded an app from the xposed installer downloads called SnapchatLensesEnabler. It did what I wanted it to do, enable snapchat lenses, but it also had this nasty side effect of turning my normal camera image upside down. After deleting this app it did not vanish. Even after a clean installation of another ROM I still have to cope with this. Does anyone know a solution for this problem?
Did you recently get a camera module replacement for your M8… I experienced the same problem when I changed my M7s rear camera and found it to be that of One M4, it took upside down pictures too so I replaced it with the correct module of One M7 and the problem was solved.
I don't know any other such case.

No i do not have replaced the camera module lately, i never have actually...
I'm currently running cm13, but I already had the problem since venom one (m8)
