Since I've updated my Note 20 Ultra to One UI 3.0 I have somewhat been able to connect to Samsung Dex wirelessly to my laptop (Dell Latitude E7450), however once it's connected, Dex desktop loads but I can't use the mouse (connected to laptop) or trackpad from the laptop.
Any ideas?
Yes had the same issue myself, I use a Wireless Keyboard and Mouse, when Dex connects wirelessly the Mouse and Keyboard will not work inside of Dex.
This has been an issue for some time. No resolution other than plugging your Wireless reciver into the Phone

I see this is old, but wanted to respond. It's super easy, you just have to realize the phone(DEX) becomes the computer, so any keyboard or wireless mouse needs to connect to the phone now. I use LOGI MX Keys keyboard that connects to phone, and a bluetooth mouse to phone, and both work great to run DEX.

Actually since the last firmware update that I had gotten on my Note 20 Ultra, my laptops keyboard and connected mouse are working fine with Samsung Dex wirelessly.

For us Galaxy NOte II users.
1. Here is an app that will automatically download and install the latest version of Flash for Android (works on Jellybean).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30646684&postcount=1
2. Then, using either ESFile or Root Explorer...do into the base of your phones file system and find the
data/data/mobi.geek.TunnyBrowser/shared_prefs
folder. Delete
installed_plug_pref.xml AND mobi.mgeek.TunnyBrowser_preferences.xml
3. Now, when you go into Dolphin, it will be Flash enabled (always on)
Make sure that you go to the "more" menu in Dolphin and select user Agent "Desktop"
4. You can additionally (once you have configured your browser preferences) go into the properties of the "shared_prefs" folder and uncheck the write option, so that the settings can no be reverted.
Flash is the fastest I have ever seen on any cell phone...hands down.... easily. I guess it took a 1.6Ghz quad core for Flash to work perfectly on a phone.
I manually installed it and using it with Boat Browser. Works flawlessly. Now I got to get bluetooth/mouse for it to browse the web on my TV.

I just bought a bluetooth keyboard and mouse.
Mouse-
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003AVN6C0/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i00
Keyboard-
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004HCO4GI/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00
Love them both. Even the function keys on the keyboard work.
I have an Amazon prime account do I paid $30 flat for the both of them.
Now I am on a hunt for an MHL adapter for HDMI out AND to get some programmable NFC tags for use in the car or when I get in the house.
I was thinking about this one since it has the touch pad built in. I sign up for Amazon Prime also but will probably cancel before the promo expires.

I bought the universal MHL to HDTV from Samsung which comes with an adapter. But the adapter is quite fat and you will need to remove most case in order to use it. My case is a pain in the rear end to remove.

That is a teeny tiny one! Unless you want that on purpose.
You could try this one with a slide out mouse pad:

I just saw the picture next to the phone, it is tiny. That Motorola one looks good but it doesn't come with a bluetooth dongle. I can use it with my phone but not my laptop and I am not sure what bluetooth HID is and if they sell separate adapter.

So, the point here is that you DONT want any product with a bluetooth dongle. If you don't have bluetooth on your laptop and you want the keyboard to work on your laptop then you have to buy a bluetooth adapter.
I think that you may want to look into this as well. you can control your phone from your PC keyboard and mouse with it.

But, in any case...you want to avoid having a dongle bluetooth receiver for your phone because it will occupy the microusb port and then you can't charge or your HDMI out while using your keyboard or mouse.
Am I making sense here?
Here is an adapter for your PC to have bluetooth:

Get a Bluetooth 4.0 with LE (Low energy technology). they are like 10 bucks.
Wish there was something for Chrome to be flash enabled

No I want the option of connecting to my laptop as well so if it comes with a dongle then it is great. I understand I do not need a dongle since my phone already has bluetooth and with the dongle, I won't be able to output to TV since I need that port for the MHL adapter.
So yes, buy that Motorola, and a separate receiver so I can use it with my laptop also. Thanks for all the links you posted so far.:good:
I'm not sure if this is a problem with Wondows 8 or a problem with Jelly Bean but...
I have a windows 8 tablet (Samsung ATIV 700T) and I can connect a bluetooth mouse to it no problems.
I can search and find my note 2 from the tablet and when I click to connect the same confirmation number comes up on both the tablet and the phone.
But the connection just stays as paired and doesn't go to connected? Any ideas why they won't connect? My S2 that was on 4.1 also couldn't connect. The wireless mouse works no worries with the tablet. the mouse also connects with my note 2 as well. But for some reason the tablet and phone see each other and can but only pair and not connect.
Any ideas??? Google doesn't seem to filter enough for me to find anything directly related unfortunately.
I'm hoping to bluetooth tether my internet from my Note 2 to the windows 8 tablet.
Tethering with wifi works well but it sucks more power than if I did it through bluetooth. Any I assume bluetooth wouldn't bottleneck the data speeds too much anyway.
I use my Galaxy S2 as my wifi hotspot and connect my pc and Note 10.1 to it with no problems. I have the HDTV adapter to connect my tab to the tv but controlling it with the bluetooth keyboard is a bit limited. If I buy the Allshare Cast adapter to plug into my TV, will I be able to be connected to my phone(for my internet) AND connected to the dongle /adapter (to mirror to the tv) simultaneously?
Thanks
I don't know why it wouldn't, but I can't verify for you. I can verify that doing the same thing with an HDMI adapter works fine however. AFAIK, the hotspot from your phone looks like any old wifi to your tablet.

Most definitely yes- I did the same thing (watching my Slingbox via ASC while the Note was connected to WiFi) a few months back.
What Buji said about WiFi is true, that "WiFi is WiFi"- unless your phone is using "AdHoc" mode to do the tethering; since ASC also uses AdHoc mode to talk to the ASCD, I can't say for sure about that configuration.
First of all, there has been a well-known issue that if you use a Bluetooth Keyboard and a Bluetooth Mouse AND have Wifi ON, there is a radio interference such that either the keyboard and/or mouse lags heavily.
This has been an issue since 4.2, whether it's a Nexus or Note or other tablet. Google never fixed it, or have no interest in fixing it since it was even documented in Google's forums.
So I am switching to:
- Bluetooth Keyboard (Logitech K810)
- Non-Bluetooth wireless mouse, connected via OTG cable
Unfortunately, ALL Logitech mouse I have (Anywhere MX, M510, M705, M325) does NOT work with my N7 and USB OTG. The ONLY one that works is with WIRED mouse.
Thus, does anyone have recommendation on non-Bluetooth wireless mouse that works with USB OTG?
Hello everyone. I just recently purchased a fire tv an a Logitech K400 keyboard because I seen it was working for others. I cannot get this stinking keyboard to work with firetv. I've plugged the dongle in and was also looking to see if there is any type of app I need to side load to get it to work. I'm still new to all of this so please be gentle. Thank you for your responses.
Well that's a shame.
Is yours actually just a K400 or is it a K400r?
My K400r works just fine on my Fire TV.
My k400 worked perfect right out of the box, installed batteries, switched on and plugged in dongle. Now I even use a 4 port usb for my ext hard drive and the dongle still works perfect. I hope you figure it out. Test it on a lap top.
Have you plugged the dongle into a PC or Mac to test it is actually paired? Was the k400 new or refurbished? I've bought refurbs that weren't paired out of the box. If so, on a PC you can download and install the Unifying app from Logitech to pair the keyboard to it.

Sounds like a bad one. Mine works fine. It's a pretty plug 'n play no-brainer install. Mine is plugged into a four-port un-powered hub.
Found this:
Troubleshooting
Touch Keyboard not working?
• Check to see you remove the battery tabs.
• Restart the keyboard by turning it off and then back on.
• Check if you have connected the Unifying receiver.
• Move the Unifying receiver to another USB port on your computer. (Try plugging the receiver directly into the computer instead of a USB hub.)
• Use the USB Range Extender for a stronger signal.
• Check the battery orientation. Replace the AA batteries.
• Some Function keys are for Windows® 8 usage, use Logitech SetPoint software to map these keys to other functions.
Receiver remembers
I lost my original unifying receiver, to get the new one to work I had to first pair it on a computer with the unifying software, then plugged it into the fire tv it worked!
