Accessing ext. SD-card via Wifi

Hi all,
I like to acces my phone via WIFI to upload & download files to it . I use the Websharing App to do this and this works quiet well via a browser on my computer.
However when trying to write a new folder to my external SD-card in my phone, i get an error. I Tried this with different filesharing apps, but i seems like i don't have persmission to do this because i always get the same error.
This problems occurs only when trying to write something to the external SD. Reading & copying is possible.
Does somebody knows how i can fix this problem ?
When connecting the computer via usb-cable , it's possible to write directly to SD card.
(Samsung galaxy s4 mini LTE, android 4.4.2)
Cheers.
On android 4.4.2 3rd party apps can't write on SDCard. You must root Your phone, install Xposed Framework and then download and install module KitKat SD Card Full Access. Also better way to browse and manage files directly on Your phone is SambaDroid, You can even manage system files.

Okay thanks for your help. Will try sambadroid, otherwise will check the xposed framework. Phone is already rooted.
I'm afraid that You also need this xposed module for Sambadroid to work. As I remember it was some build.prop modification to make it work if You don't wanna play with xposed.

MM and Samsung roms fully support reading and writing to the sdcard. All that is required is for the app to ask for authorisation.
If it doesn't ask it's a bad app.
ADM also works fine with MM and sdcard.

[STOCK] No write access on external SDCard on SM-A520F ! Normal behavior ?

Hello,
This is the first time i try to go with a STOCK-ROM , so please forgive my noobish question, but i couldn't find an answer.
I have a Galaxy A5 (2017) SM-A520F with STOCK-ROM OREO 8.0.0 running. Patchlevel 1. May 2018.
I bought a SAMSUNG 256 GB SDCard , inserted it , formated it, took some pictures to find out that this are on the SDCard. Fine.
But unfortunatly i cannot push any data to the SDCard
Not with the Systems file explorer, not with a file explorer from play store and not with the syncing app "syncthing" from F-Droid .
The permissions in Settings -> Apps -> Permissions are set right.
I also activated the Developermenu and activated the "force allow app on the external"
I couldn't write to the SDCard.
I finally formated the SDCard again, but still no success.
So far i had only rooted Smartphones and now I am not sure if it is possible all to write to the SDCard on unrooted STOCK-ROM.
Or did i miss something Importend. (Wouldn't make sense to me to build a device with up to 256 GB external SDCard just to store selfmade picture and Videos on it)
Any hints or tipps are welcome.
Greetings

How to use slots A and B?

Hi everyone,
afaik, the A2 Lite has 2 slots A and B. Now about how to use them:
- Do they work as boot partitions separately from each other?
- Can I change to the other slot without fear of losing some data etc.?
- Will they access a shared storage (apart from the external SD)?
- If I only want to use one slot, can I erase the files on the other to free disk space? How?
- When I use the Xiaomi A2 installation tool, is it true that the system is always installed on the non-active slot? (Why...?)
Maybe there's already a thread and I was blind, then I'd appreciate a link and apologize.
Thx tempe

The idea behind it so you get seamless updates, so you dont have to wait for the to unpack and patch with reboots in between, its not really a user interaction deal but, you can change slots in fastboot provided you know the encryption key to boot the data on a different slot.
Partition A = System
Partition B = Gapps, Magisk, etc
See previous discussion here.

Question Root file manager impossible delete system file on Android 11

Hello all I want to delete Facebook services and Facebook installer app folder in root>system>priv-app directory... I installed some file manager app with root access but none can delete that folders... Anyone know how fix this problem ? This is a big problem for me...
Thanks to everyone.
Is the application running in the background. You can't modify files if they are currently in use
However otherwise it might be an issue with the way magisk works and so there might not be a solution (i.e magisk is systemless so it doesn't actually modify system files it just mounts modified file in such a way that Android sees the file changes whilst the actual system remains unmodified)

This is very complicated now. Systemless root has a lot of benefits but it also has lost some of its power. This is 1 area that is hard because technically no you can't touch the system otherwise it'll bootloop on all of my devices. If your rooted with magisk you have busybox magisk installed than you want to get system debloater module on magisk manager and use termux or terminal emulator but termux is the best than you can use the system debloater module to find system apps and uninstall them. It works on some of my android 11 devices not all it's getting outdated. I use it to uninstall Facebook and actually YouTube on Samsung that way I can use vanced YouTube properly. I don't understand why you can't just delete the app but the system isn't writable I believe. You would have to use adb or twrp recovery and there's no real information on this topic. Magisk isn't as good as people think though for instance the build prop module if it was really able to hide your device when I signed into my Google account it would say I was on a new device not the device I'm using trying to hide
Have you tried to remove them using TWRP? That shall do it.

I installed Swift Backup (paid latest version) and tried uninstalling system app. But there is only option to disable system apps.
Also I need a way by which I can even paste files in system/app folder so that apps behave like system apps.
By the way I did use magisk module Systemizer. It was a bit complicated for me and did not give full access to the root folders.

If anyone tries it successfully and it will work on F3, please let me know here. Thanks.
I can verify that the above procedure worked flawlessly in first attempt. My installed rom was Xiaomi.eu 12.5.4.0 on Poco F3/ Mi 11x btw. Thanks a lot...
