Hey guys,
just wanted to check if the red magic moment needs to be updated every time by Nubia whenever there is a game update?
PUBG updated their game to v1.2 yesterday and since then the red magic moment has stopped working (not getting the red magic moment has started recording notification or the creating red magic moment pop up). At first I thought it was something at my end so I cleared the red magic moment cache, and also tried reinstalling pubg and finally the firmware but nothing seems to work.
Anyone here for which the feature it still working post the update?
I am on official 7.14 rom if that helps. Rooted

where did you see the update? I donot see it on system update or on the rom section of global redmagic website.
Ok apparently if you change the phone and game language to chinese, the red magic moment seems to work. The flip side is you will have some difficulty navigation. Please try and post your feedback. I will try on my phone tonight or tomorrow and update as well.

confirmed. If you change the phone language to simplified Chinese and game language to simplified Chinese, red magic moment will work again with new ping update. However the game will have all text in Chinese so difficult to play while using chat and stuff.

i know here in Egypt 5 bought it and have same and nearly everyday you can find more max3 used for sell after only few weeks of buying.

Did you enable notifications and badges? You can set the priority there. Just click on the app settings and select notifications. I have no issues.

yes i did all of that still sometimes i get sound and sometimes not..
i checked every single item and enabled anything related to notifications
even network signal is full and whenever i try to call or i get call it gives out of coverage
i m sure its software bug ...
i even changed region to so many but nothing
i wiped data after each install of rom
the only doubt i have is
in app settings in installed app
there is system notifications
no sound
and i press it i found all notifications are on

Had the same problem with the Huawei honor note 8 Chinese.
Partial fix was to add widgets for all the apps that you can on the home page, or open each one up and keep them running in the background without closing them.

if i cancel wake up screen for notification.. i cant know unless when i unlock the screen...
that is only in whatsapp viber and email apk ( tried three )...
hope an update fixes this...

I would just install Xiaomi.eu rom. No one I know on xiaomi.eu roms are having your sound problems.

Is your bootloader unlocked? You will need to unlock it since it's a custom rom.

From time to time, I receive a whatsapp message which wakes up the screen, but without any sound (very strange).
I'm quite unhappy with the notifications system

Yes thats what i have notifications come with no sound and only wake up screen light then second one with sound but i installed the global beta and its better than global stable so far with last update.
Basically what I had to do was manually turn on all notification sounds and pop ups. Some apps simply cannot be turned on like Google messages.
Pretty much title. Still based on Android 9 as far as I know. I am rooted on 10.3.2.0 so I won't be upgrading until there's TWRP and Magisk available, but has anyone upgraded? How is it?

I haven't seen any significant improvement about gesture controls and animations yet
Tested a beta MIUI 11 EU before and current twrp & magisk work fine, it should be work on this as well since its android 9.

I dont see some difference in FSG animations, anyway dont really like new MIUI, new font kinda bugs me for some reason, when charging that circle with the percentage in bottom is now gone, and i liked that, so much easier to see the % in the circle than how it is now, dont like the scroll in the settings.... dont really see whats "better" now, and now there are things that bothers me and did not before, so its a bad update for me, i dont know maybe i just need time to get to use to it. Btw scroll ss in chrome is working just fine for me.
lol either the server is down or the update got pulled off because if i check for updates it says that there are no updates available, but earlier today at work when i checked it was available, but was unable to download it due to crappy wifi speed.

Because its a beta stable it's not pushed out to everyone.

Battery percent still show in my lockscreen while charging, maybe you can try to change to another lockscreen theme or you can turn on battery percent in status bar
yes, it still shows the percentage, but i was referring to this bottom part, it was shown in a circle before on Miui 10, and was so much easier to see the number of percentage

Did you use the built in update function? Then there is no reason to fear for that

I wanted to ask if there is a way to fix the below Issue I am having with the red magic 5g global edition
When I screen shot and click share button it always replies back fail to share.
The Phone App the cal log is showing from old to new like the old is on top and new on bottom, for me that's weird I know the latest phone call should be on top not the oldest call.
Nextflix is showing for me always in SD not HD that's weird on my wife iPhone it's showing in HD

Yes, unfortunately widevine level for RM5G problems can't be fixed via software and obviously it'll be herculean task to ask everyone to send in their devices.
So, Nubia is looking forward to fixing that issue in upcoming devices including the S version.
Maybe you can get a modded Netflix app that will display HD despite the device's widevine level
has anyone tested the official game case for the P40 pro? the one with the triggers.

The calibration does not work for me neither. However the case is recognized as L and R in all games that have controller support, at least for me. Are you sure the the games you have tried have controller support? If you would like to use it in a game that does not support controllers then you need to use a key mapping app such as panda gamepad, works great in cod mobile

Bro, what's you firmaware/compilation number?
I'm trying to configure it but the bottoms L/R are unavailable in the slide panel but it is there in gray mode but can't use it or I can't activate it.
The instructions says the we need 10.4 app asistant, I got it, but doesn't work properly. I wanna use in CoD and don't wanna use the alternative mode (Panda) for the moment.

It'd be super handy if it works as the 7 day wait sounds unnecessary and painful.
If anyone can try it let us know how it goes.
ps. on a side note, how annoying is it that 90+% of the youtube videos on this device have English titles but the videos themselves are in other languages..?

Don't believe those videos its 99% of the time a scam/virus etc.
Just get the phone, set it up, bind your mi account under Dev settings - bootloader unlock and then wait 7 days (pretty sure it was 14 for some of my devices). Necessary evil with Xiaomi (trying to slow down resellers who flash global firmware etc). While you wait, don't install too many apps etc coz unlocking wipes the device
Don't be tempted with hacks and stuff.

I recently had pixel 2 xl, at 10pm im having yellow tint on my screen no reading mode is activated, and it became more yellow at 12am(as i set up)
im trying to root to remove in system ui tuner the previous tweaks i had on pixel.
It does not work. I tried it too, and I had to wait for 7 days anyway.

I tried without factory resetting the phone and it didnt work for me, did you do the factory reset and new account stuff as said in video?
I tried to do this today and it also does not work.
I have to wait around 168 hours but does that mean my phone has to be switched on for that long or can I use it daily and switch it off?

Never really worked except for the first few days, after that xiaomi patched the code...

While using can I connect to the internet cause I got a warning not to add my mi account to the device again else I'll have to wait longer and hole it won't affect other devices using the same mi account
