Hey all,
Got my brand new Mate 20 X yesterday with an immediate update to fix Netflix (Widevine L3), after the update DRM Info showed widevine was L1, Netflix was showing in HD. But this morning when I woke up my device looked like it restarted due to another update overnight to fix the camera filters/AI issues or something. Checking Netflix now there is no longer a HD logo next to any of the HD series and Widevine has now been reverted back to L3. Can anyone help me with this please! My model is the L29 6/128GB purchased from WondaMobile

I've not received any updates indicating patch01 or 02... I don't know what to do

Right after that. Try to change the phone location, maybe the update is not yet in your country.

Stupid question but how do you do that? I'm coming from an iPhone x, so Android is still new to me

Only at the start where you set your language and location. I don't see it in the settings.

I also can't stream Netflix in HD.
Edit: I know it show's HDR but its not in HD at all. Maybe like 720p

Sounds like what I had.
Search on Netflix for "Test Patterns", pick any episode, pinch the screen so it shows ALL of the picture and at the top right you'll see the real resolution.
When I had the problem it was something like 950 x 540.
The fix for me was quite straight forward, just clear cache and data, run Netflix, sign in again and it was fine.

i have noticed a lot of customers having problem with max 3 push notification with no actions.
i know here in Egypt 5 bought it and have same and nearly everyday you can find more max3 used for sell after only few weeks of buying.
if anyone can assist in solving or to contact ..
i have tried everything available online
installing global beta and stable
disabling battery optimize
allow all permissions to apk like whatsapp/viber /mymail
Auto start
lock apks
nothing worked
if any can help.

Did you enable notifications and badges? You can set the priority there. Just click on the app settings and select notifications. I have no issues.

yes i did all of that still sometimes i get sound and sometimes not..
i checked every single item and enabled anything related to notifications
even network signal is full and whenever i try to call or i get call it gives out of coverage
i m sure its software bug ...
i even changed region to so many but nothing
i wiped data after each install of rom
the only doubt i have is
in app settings in installed app
there is system notifications
no sound
and i press it i found all notifications are on
That's the problem with Chinese ROMs
I have a global version and np problems whatsoever.
Had the same problem with the Huawei honor note 8 Chinese.
Partial fix was to add widgets for all the apps that you can on the home page, or open each one up and keep them running in the background without closing them.

Thanks ..that already what i m doing now so i get the notification sometimes by sound or only by wake up the screen.
if i cancel wake up screen for notification.. i cant know unless when i unlock the screen...
that is only in whatsapp viber and email apk ( tried three )...
hope an update fixes this...

I would just install Xiaomi.eu rom. No one I know on xiaomi.eu roms are having your sound problems.

Is your bootloader unlocked? You will need to unlock it since it's a custom rom.

Same problem here with GMAIL only, I was receiving delayed notification(1 or 2 hours). Changed with k9, now works fine. I'm on MIUI 10 Global (no root, no bootloader a virgin one
From time to time, I receive a whatsapp message which wakes up the screen, but without any sound (very strange).
I'm quite unhappy with the notifications system

Yes thats what i have notifications come with no sound and only wake up screen light then second one with sound but i installed the global beta and its better than global stable so far with last update.
Basically what I had to do was manually turn on all notification sounds and pop ups. Some apps simply cannot be turned on like Google messages.
why i can't stream hd content on my Redmi note 8 pro on netflix and amazon prime as well as on hotstar.... And why it is showing widewine l1 support in drm info if it can't play hd content..... Is there any fix for it or any info about when it will get fixed.... Is it an hardware issue or a software issue ???
It is a software issue. Xiaomi said it would get fixed when the device receives Android 10 update.
It should be available with Android 10 update whenever time comes. Mind you, this doesn't mean Netflix HD will magically become available, but it's a start.

just wanted to check if the red magic moment needs to be updated every time by Nubia whenever there is a game update?
PUBG updated their game to v1.2 yesterday and since then the red magic moment has stopped working (not getting the red magic moment has started recording notification or the creating red magic moment pop up). At first I thought it was something at my end so I cleared the red magic moment cache, and also tried reinstalling pubg and finally the firmware but nothing seems to work.
Anyone here for which the feature it still working post the update?
I am on official 7.14 rom if that helps. Rooted

where did you see the update? I donot see it on system update or on the rom section of global redmagic website.
Ok apparently if you change the phone and game language to chinese, the red magic moment seems to work. The flip side is you will have some difficulty navigation. Please try and post your feedback. I will try on my phone tonight or tomorrow and update as well.

confirmed. If you change the phone language to simplified Chinese and game language to simplified Chinese, red magic moment will work again with new ping update. However the game will have all text in Chinese so difficult to play while using chat and stuff.
It seems like the phone is ever-so-slightly-slower following the Android 13/One UI 5 update.
Splash screens of various apps consistently appear for a few split seconds longer than before. In fact, at least one app that used to launched instantly now shows a splash screen for a fraction of a second before launching.
Is this just my experience, or do others see the same thing as well?

Download good guardians from the galaxy store and over the app galaxy app booster. Ran it and look again
I found that upgrading from A12 to A13 slowed my phone down. Did a Factory reset and was so much better...

But I'm trying to figure out if the small slowdown after Android 13 update is an anomaly or if most people experience it. Do you?
My phone came with Android 13/OneUI 5 preinstalled, but I later received an update with January security patch and I started facing issues after that update.
The scrolling works very bad, its like there are some ghost touches. When I scroll thru WhtasApp/Telegram chats, photos in gallary, webpages the scroll sometimes doesn't work, just like the screen didn't even register my touch. If I try to scroll fast, the scroll stops in between, just like a ghost touch or something.
I was also facing issue with fingerprint scanner when the phone screen is off for some time, but I got it resolved by removing existing finterprints. and registering new ones.
The scroll issue is a real bummer for me. I hope it get fixed with the next OneUI 5.1 update.
In Addition to what I listed above, I faced one more strange issue today. I received the January security patch AGAIN today. It's like before, the download size, update description, all is same.
The previous January security patch update I got was installed successfully, I could see it in the software section, I am not sure why I received same update again.

There was an issue with the first Jan Security Update. 2nd one should fix majority of the bugs

Can someone here please confirm if you are able to scroll faster? I mean, I have my old OnePlus 6 with me. If I do a simple test to scroll once in a telegram chat, OnePlus scroll backs to more number of chat messages compared to S21FE. The S21FE just scrolls to few lines.
Anyone observed same issue?

Yes. the scrolling on the S21 FE is much more stiff and "heavy" than my old J series Samsung phone. In addition, many screen taps aren't noticed by the phone, requiring me to tap again.
You should report it in the Samsung member app like I did. The more people who report these problems the bigger a chance that a patch will be issued.

But you should. Do it and dont restore system options. Problem solved.
Btw you can use your phone without reset when its a small update but its a totally new android version so you must reset.
