Hello guys. I am currently running android 5.0 (V20A). Can I downgrade back to android 4.4.2 and if yes can I do it by just installing a 4.4.2 firmware ?
Yes.
Just flash stock firmware for your variant.
I'm having moto e, and I've unlocked the bootloader and downgraded it to KitKat 4.4.4 because I tried lollipop soak test 5.0.2 in my phone and faced some problems.. Now I'm getting official OTA update for 5.1 and I need to use the official lollipop build for moto e. Should I update it or not.. Because already I've bricked my phone on downgrading to 4.4.2 and then updating it to 4.4.4 Will the same thing happen again if I update it to 5.1 from 4.4.4 ???
Thanks in advance :good:
sure

sure go to play store update MOTOROLA UPDATE SERVICE then . go to about check update ............................
Yesterday I updated my ROOTED Lollipop to the latest build 5.1.1 , but after the update I lost the root , so I tried to root it again with iRoot program , but I got this error message :
Error: only position independent executables (PIE) are supported
Then I tried many many of rooting apps but still facing the same problem and getting the same error !!
I looked for this issue, and I found some sort of fixes but I couldn't understand anything, because I'm not an Android expert.
So can you please give me a solution because I need my device to be rooted. And with an easy and simplest way please !
Device : Sony Xperia Z1 COMPACT
Model Number : D5503
Android version : 5.1.1
Kernel version : 3.0.4-perf-g4fd66c3
Device build number : 14.6.A.0.368
In short: Flash back to an earlier version (using Flashtool), root it, install NUT's XZ dual recovery, flash a pre-rooted ZIP of LP 5.1.1 (you find some here on xda), and enjoy your rooted android

Thanks for the reply .. For curiosity, can you please explain to me what means this error and why it exist , as I read it was since 4.1.1 , and personally I didn't face it when I updated android to 5.0.2.
Mainly it attempts to unlocked bootloaders. but there is a workaround for the error, so if you had still installed a running recovery the whole backflash was useless

Originally it was written for nexus and motorola devices, but it fixed my Z1C too, so i guess its not devicebound
I want to ask a thing:
I'm on latest 5.1.1 and want to root.
I think that flashing kernel only of previous (5.0.2) root and then flash a recovery can help me.
It's true? Because if I can root in that way:
I have the full ftf file of 5.0.2 version...how can I flash kernel only of 5.0.2 from flashtool?
Someone can tell me which options I have to check and which don't on flashtool to flash only kernel?
Or can post me a link to a kernel only ftf of 5.0.2 for italian firmware or CE1 ?
Hi there guys! I am creating this thread to help anyone who's looking for the OTAs for the ZenWatch, so they can manually update the watch. If you have links of more OTA packages please contact me via PM and I will add them to the thread, thanks !

Could you post a backup created by recovery? My zenwatch was hosed by a bad update and after doing a recovery factory reset I'm stuck in a boot loop. I need a full firmware, not just a OTA update. Any help would be appreciated.

My Zenwatch is from israel.
I brought this Koran flip andriod phone a few months back on ebay & the latest update it has atm is Android 6.0.1
I was wondering if anyone has any success flashing Andriod Nougat on it since G1650 has Nougat firmware for it? (China version I think)
I tried flashing the lastest G1650 firmware to my G6165N via Odin & no luck so far. Just throws an error about can't read firmware if I recall.
