Hi all, I am using Dazn with a smartDNS, this works on my android tv but with the same setup on my firestick I am getting an error where it tells me to close the app to refresh video.
I have also tried with a vpn which gives the same result.
Is it possible the app can read something on the firestick to get my location which it is unable to do on the Android TV? The app works with no smartdns (but wrong region)

Hi I've recently bought a firestick and been very happy with it. I have downloaded the AllCast app via the firestick so I have the AllCast Receiver screen showing on the tv but the allcast app on my tablet can't recognise it and is just showing "searching for player". The firestick is showing that it is connected to the house wifi (as is the tablet). This is extremely frustrating and annoying. Can anyone suggest a solution?
I downloaded the new official Fxnow App for the Fire TV, logged in and tried to play something. Everything and I mean everything that I try to play brings up a 'can't play' error. Everything else works fine on the Fire TV ( netflix, Hbogo, etc. ) and the sideloaded FXnow apk app plays everything fine using a usb keyboard, so the only thing I can think of for why the official Fxnow app isn't playing is it's out, but not supported yet. The install app wasn't easy to find. It was buried in the search area, rather than coming up as an app under app categories, and therefore my conclusion is it won't be officially active until the 2nd Gen Fire Tv is released on Oct 5th. Anyone installed the Fxnow app, registered it with their cable / sat company and found out that nothing is playable? Wanted to find out if it was a problem on my end. Can someone please confirm this?
Thanks.
Just wanted to give an update to my problem in case someone had this same issue in the future. Turns out the problem is DNS proxy related. I'm using unotelly running a geo-proxy service allowing me to watch content from the U.S and U.K using sideloaded apk files along with using kodi for U.K content. When I remove the DNS from my Amazon Fire TV configuration, the FXNOW official app works fine. The official Fxnow app is being blocked somewhere in the proxy chain. So, currently I'm inquiring if anything can be done with help from my proxy provider. If not, I'll just go back to sideloading the apk version of the app and watch FXnow that way. So, basically nothing wrong with the app. Problem is due to my setup.
This app worked fine about half a year ago but now neither the Xfinity TV App or the TV go app work anymore. I get a long unhandled error 106000 error on the TV App and the "go" app it just says im not allowed to play it on this device. How do I get around this? Much appreciated for advice
I think these apps only work over WiFi connections. If you are hardwired to your router, try unplugging your cable and use WiFi only.
Hi guys, I just got a Fire TV Stick from Amazon.in, but I am facing an issue with prime video contents. I am getting US library in my Fire TV and I am from India.
So, when ever I am trying to stream I am getting a message We're unable to complete your request.... and there is only an OK button.
Only way I can stream is from the Prime Video android app with the option to play on Fire TV Stick.
All the other streaming apps working fine though. I used to stream contents from US and UK using Smart DNS on my PC, is it happening because of this??
And, also there is no active VPN or Smart DNS proxy on the router. Can anybody help me out with this?
Hello Community,
I'm using my Fire TV Stick 4k for streaming TV.
My problem is, that the TV App don't recognize the Y...e App for showing trailers.
I have downloaded the Y...e App via Amazon Store.
And I can use it without any issues.
Except the TV App. It says that I need the Y...e App for watching trailers.
The settings of that App is really kept tight.
So I can't say, if it's a App issue or from Fire TV Stick...
Is anybody out there, who can help?
Thanks a lot!
Edit:
Please, do not misunderstand me.
Everything goes fine. All Apps for itself goes well.
The TV App is fine, too. The only issue is that
this App doesn't recognize the existing Y...e App.
However, I think this is not an App issue, it seems to be
that somewhere on my Fire Stick is not OK.
Sorry, that's how I can explain, with my english
