Hello everyone. I'm new on the forum and I want your help please. I have one HTC 10 and I want to upgrade it with a custom Rom; the status of my bootloader is «s-off/locked». I want to know if it is possible to install custom rom. If so, how can I do? Thanks and have a nice day everyone.
Installing a custom ROM requires a custom Recovery got installed what requires device's bootloader got unlocked what requires in Android Settings -> Developer options "OEM unlock" got enabled & phone got rebooted.

Hi guys,
I've tried everything, but after successful root I can't unlock bootloader and flash recovery mode. Fastboot is also not running. The stock ROM is awfully slow and I wanted to flash a new one... That is what I see when I enter the service menu (see the attachment) :/
Please, help :c
Xperia S LT26i (2012, I think)
Its just not allowed to unlock your bootloader.
Nothing more to say.
Send thanks to Orange, where you device is from.
You may try other ROMs based on stock one, but optimized. As said above you can't do anything about it. I would suggest you to update the phone to a new one with unlocked bootloader, SXS too old nowdays with it's S3 CPU.
So I'm out of answers currently and would like some help on this one
I installed Cyanogenmod from their website
Installed their rom, recovery
Locked the bootloader since that's what u should do
Today I tried to install a new update from cyanogenmod, it rebooted, and the recovery screen is only showing a black screen and every 5 seconds it will give a white flicker
I tried to unlock the bootloader again but it shows "FAILED (remote: oem unlock is not allowed)"
And I'm not able to get back into android, it will show "ID: xxxxxxxxxxxx" at the bottom and tries to go back into recovery
Help
why did you lock the bootloader when you aren't running the stock rom?
all the modding threads explicitly threads say to avoid doing this otherwise you'll have serious issues.

In all the years of being on xda. I've never seen anyone mention this
wtf... why do use lock bootloader when you arent on stock? You only possibility is to try to get fastboot access to unlock it again...
Hi guys,
I got a Nexus 6P, with cyanogen rom on it. The developer options are locked,
The bootloader is locked and the recovery img gives only the option Reboot.
the best case scenario is to root the phone..
what is the option here , what should I do ?
Thanks.
I recently bought a Moto Z Play from Chinese site (Banggood). The device came with Android 6.01 (Chinese Software Channel). Inadvertently I did not go there in settings and enabled Scheduler and then enabled OEM Unlock. I downloaded the Stock Retail Retail BR with Android 7.0 and updated by RSD. From there, the boot screen lost the original logo (as if I had actually unlocked the bootloader) and even indefinitely in Settings / Scheduler, the OEM Unlock option was no longer available: it is disabled in light gray and appears in small letters (the bootloader is already unlocked). Is there any way I can fix this? Someone can help me, please? Thanks in advance! :fingers-crossed:
chinese phones often come with the bootloader unlocked in my experience.
But in this case I would install TWRP without problems, then root the phone, correct? But I can´t... TWRP freezes then I´ve to return to Stock ROM. Sorry, but I´m newbie
How do you mean it freezes does twrp not install at all or freezes after being installed.
Hi everyone, I rooted my s9 exynos a few weeks ago but wasn't happy with a few things so I just did a clean install of android pie & got it all kind of stock again. I was going to spend a bit more time fiddling & re-rooting, question is, do I need to activate the OEM u nlock again & start a fresh or just install twrp? Reason I'm asking is that in developer options below the OEM unlock switch it states "bootloader already unlocked.
I'd rather know either way before I wipe everything for no good reason, thanks in advance
