some users have this issues its difficult to know what's the problem sometimes its battery or firmware maby hardware issue. try this use mi1 firmware best stable no issue for me. why I am saying this because I update my phone to mj3 and after that my phone get heated slow charging. then again I downgrade to mi1 firmwear now I don't have any issues

I had the same issue when I was using Lenevo Super Camera on J3 firmware. Simply switching the camera app resolved the issue for me, currently using Google Camera from Nexus KitKat

Then your phone is staying or jumping to max frequency 1200MHz too often. Make sure whichever app you are using to control your CPU settings has minimum frequency set to 312MHz, if that's not an issue, change your governor (I'm using "Interactive" governor at the moment). Governors handle how often your frequency will jump to the next higher frequency. You can find out about each governor available in our phone by a simple search on google
If you don't have a CPU settings app, you can try No-Frills CPU Control - one of the most common apps for CPU control, with a clean and basic interface

Above method would work regardless of stock or custom ROM, you just need root.
Alternatively, you can try using one of the RAM/Memory cleaners that don't require root to clean the running processes to keep your RAM empty. If there aren't too many processes using your CPU, there shouldn't be any reason for it to get hot :fingers-crossed:

I've a OnePlus 3 Device.. When I Play Pubg in Med Settings.. it Lags like hell and i turned to Low Preset Still The same any solutions???
There was same problem with me too...
1. Make sure upgrade to v0.4.0.
2. If problem still continues use Elementalx kernel and overclock cpus and also turn on GPU boost to high.
Though regardless to say play on Europe server?
I play with framerate set to HIGH and BALANCED and it runs smooth most of the time.....

i'm on latest OOS beta with Derp kernel, no lag what so ever on PUBG , just played it for the 1st time last night, on HD and medium fps (and one mission on high), no lags what so evert, but here's heating normal and expected with this type of games, but didn't effect the game play.
it'll hit the battery though , i went from 92% to 20% in 70 mins of continues playing on high settings. also make sure if you're on OOS to add it to game do not disturb mode, it helps.
i do have same problem on open beta, ill try to flash costum kernel...hope they fix this on next update...

Sorry to say but it will lag in anyway
Coz it is powered by Snapdragon 820 which just sucks in gaming , not becoz of GPU (Andreno 530 is good enough) but becoz of low cores count and thermel throttle ?
And PUBG mostly depends on multicore performance of the processor, in which sd820 littrely sucks (820=450 in multicore performance)
Snapdragon 660 is much better choice for gaming it's much stable than 820/821
Someone said to me to use GFX Tool on play store and enable the vulkan and see the changes. He said it was lagging but after enable the vulkan it turns out pretty smooth after but pretty much drains the battery.

I second this, used GFX Tool with the following parameters:
PUBG M Version 0.6
Resolution: 1280x720
Style: Classic
Graphics : Balanced
FPS: 60fps
Vulkan : Enabled
Anti-Aliasing: Disabled
Running On DU v12.3
Kernel DU stock
Active battery drain after 33mins of use 9% and lags at all.

I dont know, it was smooth here currently on Nougat Zenity RR. But I do also face the lag when I'm using Unofficial RR Luis and I even overclocked the cpu, but it was smooth on OOS with stock kernel and MSM Xtended so far before. That recommendation to enable vulkan was from someone I haven't test it yet since I dont face the lag right now. Sorry can't help much, I also did not understand much why.

Not true , as mentioned on another post above, I also use the latest oos beta ROM, with derp kernel 4.4 , nonlags what so ever , not even a little ...
I've been playing pubg for a month now , and with the above setup I had no lags... I even use maple I/O sched , which by nature may cause some lag and despite that it doesn't.
onePlus stock kernel specially on beta may have issues from time to time, and a lot of cutom kernels for cutom ROMs are configured more toward battery life...
For stock rom use either derp or blu_spark, they will work out of the box without issues, Blu have more heating though on my experience.
For custom ROMs you'll need to ask the kernel dev what settings anss scheds to use ...I'd imagine flash kernel will be ok right out of the box but will not be as battery friendly as the others .
No
Well if you are happy with 20-35fps performance, than trust me you don't really need a flagship, you will be satisfied even with Snapdragon 450 which can give similar performance to sd820 in PUBG lol [QUOTEuke7;76899133]Not true , as mentioned on another post above, I also use the latest oos beta ROM, with derp kernel 4.4 , nonlags what so ever , not even a little ...

Guys if you want to game dont do it on a mobile device. Let alone a cheap China device with high failure rates on hardware.
Could anyone suggest a ROM / Kernel that is tried and tested to not lag on OnePlus 3T? I am currently using a different phone just to play the game and I really wish to move back to my phone ... Any method that is tried and tested to function properly with no lags on the current PubG update would be really appreciated

You will be hard pressed to find a combo that works. You will most likely need to build a rom made for it as most roms are not made for gaming which to be honest is a sad state on mobile device.

Try msm extended pie and aosp extended pie both with stock kernel runs pubg smooth with hd - high fps
Well i'm baffled with you guys, i ran it just fine, i even downclocked it to 1 & 1,5 Ghz (lil&big). My configs: Omnirom and the included kernel (holydragon) downclocked, display driver updated to V313 (look for adreno driver in mi mix forum) use rev15 as it is less glitchy and even has tangible score boost almost 6000 gain in antutu GPU section. And that's it, HD and High setting acquired, i even get extreme setting when i first install the driver, but somehow it disappears lol. If you want to run it even better, use old gfxtool to old pubg apk, run and then update the pubg, immediately uninstall the gfxtool to avoid ban by the new pubg detection for gfxtool. Sorry too long.

Hi guys. I just want to know if someone manage to overclock gpu using Konabess on Poco F3?
Hey, i tried a'lot with Konabess and Poco F3.
I couldn't go higher than 677 Mhz from stock 670 Mhz and it seems the problem is the frequency table in SD870 Kernel, another guy was succesful on very early miui 12.0.x kernel of a SD870 Device released before march 2021, he said that qualcom or xiaomi restricted the upper frequency tables.
But nvm, it would only be great for benchmark scores above 670+, after few minutes the max frequency decreases (heat, power draw)
managed to undervolt the stock frequencys by a huge amount -> results in much more stable max frequency (smoother gameplay) and greatly reduced temperatures / power usage = more SoT ^_^
the attached konabess config file works for me stable
it could crash on another f3 cuz of silicon lottery
import config file in konabess apk
repack kernel and restart (root required ofc)

Works on all MIUI Roms and also on many Aosp, currently using the cfg on Pixel5 Beta4 (A12 Port) without any problems
just HentaiOs didnt boot with the konabess mod, but u can backup dtbo.img in twrp and if your device not boot u can flash backup
Thank you. Already using your config on xiaomi.eu 12.5.6.
So if i'm using older rom like 12.0.3, i can overclock it higher? Planning to oc to 850mhz and lower it 2 table volt.

Thats because of Silicon Lottery, every chip behaves different, some can undervolt better or worse than other even if they come from the same chip wafer.
When graphical glitches appear with my cfg then the gpu cant handle the cfg-adjusted undervolt settings.
U can try to lower/up the voltage table of each frequency table by one step and test yourself for stability with konabess apk and 3dmark for example, its not very difficult.
Everyone should try and figure out what your gpu can handle to get the best results in your games, the provided cfg file is just a example and works with my own gpu stable, which means other chips can fail instantly after you import and apply the cfg, or your gpu can handle even better undervoltings, just try

Hi friend, Im aware of silicon lottery and this can indeed explain glitches when gaming but not why my screen is blue. Sadly conabess gives you no option to restore backed up vendor_boot.img, you have to do it manually. Regarding the things you said, even if xiaomi patched the kernel, its open source so the patches can always be undone with a custom kernel. Im ob arrow os latest stock btw

Yes i guess it can be unlocked in kernel and it seems xiaomi locked/hide the oc clock frequency's in kernels made after 02/2021. Found the information about the guy where succesful overclocked max gpu clock by replacing his miui 12.5 march kernel by a old FKM Backup Kernel and it worked again for him
Is this method getting blocked by new MIUI weekly update(21.2.4), only one freq slot can be selected above 587(like 865+). · Issue #2 · libxzr/KonaBess
I'm trying the old version(0.8.1 which worked) now, wait a minute.

Is there a real way to increase performance in realme c21 without overclocking
I have root access with magisk installed
Can these magisk modules increase performance
well, it really depends on what you're going to do or what you want to. what about disabling Thermal throttling and setting a different CPU governor?
By disabling thermal throttling I'm turning my phone into a bomb
Nowadays lot of phone are blasting
Even though my thermal throttling is enabled my phone is in 50°C while playing games lol

lol, rn I'm using my s4 mini without even thermal management, running very fast and cold, or if u can call 64celsius cold... but anyways, my tips are using kernel auditor and setting min CPU speed to the minimum you can, and max to the max you can set, and also setting the CPU governor to interactive or OnDemand
Please suggest a CPU governor

This is my first post on XDA. Recently, I got a POCO F3. Today, I tried various combinations of mods and custom firmwares and when I check in Franco Kernel Manager, my CPU min and max frequencies are chaging bby themselves. This is just with root and custom recovery installed. I thought a custom kernel may fix this, but it didn't (I tried Immensity-X, WildAngel Performance and NoGravity). As well as that, I'm finding that the GPU cannot handle an overclock or else the min and max frequencies will also fluctuate by themselves. The overclock I tried was to 682 MHz (my F3 isn't a silicon lottery winner). Does anyone have any idea as to what the issue might be?
you try flash last build NoGravity Kernel v1.0.1 + NGK App 6.1.1 (Hotfix) ?

Xiaomi does some crazy ass throttlings that limits cpu freq to 2.7k default and keeps changing with temperature 37*c, 39*c, 41*c and so on
same with gpu, gpu is not limited but it starts throttling at higher temperatures too but the problem with gpu throttling is that it doesnt revert back to highest when the temperature cools down, you'll have to revert it manually.
only way to fix this is if you edit the thermals yourself or use dynamic profile or flash thermal no junk

You can fix the freq. of both CPU and GPU to be max, and disable the mi_thermald. Try "extras/jitter-reducer.sh" in USB_SampleRate_Changer which has been developed for hi-fi audio use. But this can disable almost possible battery saving features, e.g., GPU power level, thermal throttling, doze, wireless connectivity optimization, etc., to avoid jitter distortion on all digital audio outputs.
Note: this is tested only on the STOCK kernel.
