This might be a stupid question but I can I take a nand backup from one phone and restore it to another phone?
Not sure if there are any identifiers etc that won't match up.

Worked fine with me, nand backed up from my first one and restored on my second one.
Basically I wanna get mine all setup for my wife then back it up and dump it to hers. I realize I will not be able to set up the Google account sync etc but that's and easy fix on hers. Second question. Will my full nand rootand recovery follow? Guessing at least no on the recovery.

I think you would need to do the NAND unlock too. I dont think the nandroid backup includes the engineering SPL... could be wrong though. You would also need to have the same recovery that you used to make the Nandroid backup
i just received a new Evo after problems with my old one. can i use a nandroid backup from my old device on the new one or is that a big no no?
I believe you can, but you would probably want to make sure the same radio, wimax, etc. were loaded before you did the restore
What elegantai said, but I'd also take a Nandroid backup of the new phone first, just to be safe.
Any devs wanna comment?
Unfortunately I cracked the digitizer on my Desire and I'm not really willing to buy a digitizer and then fit it myself in case I do break the phone as obviously my tinkering will void my warranty. So instead I have chosen to get a replacement from Orange. That is £160 and then at least 6 months insurance coming in at £6 a month. For me, a college student, it is the only viable option
Anyway, I am rooted on OpenDesire. If I want my new handset to be in exactly the same state as my current Desire, do I just need to do a complete backup with Titanium Backup onto my microSD, root the new phone with OpenDesire then restore all settings and programs from the backup on my SD? Obviously some things won't be exactly the same such as custom icons but I can redo that myself.
Also, do you think I should restore the Orange rom etc and unroot the phone before returning it?
Thanks in advance, Jake.
Hi
Be sure you unrooted the phone before returning it, its always better. According to the backup, make a nandroid backup, then unroot, after getting the phone back repaired root again and restore from the nandroid backup you made. Everything should be exactly the same as it was when you made the backup
However, wait at least for one another person to support my thought

Sounds like good advice
Hi,
My Galaxy Young just broke, so I got the HTC Desire S A510e from a friend.
Now, I would love to restore my contacts etc. Backup files were created with Titanium Backup free version. After researching for about 2 hours to "how to root the htc desire?" with the result that A) most of the guides out there are somehow outdated (404 for necessary files) or B) would take hell of a time, I now am looking for possiblities to restore the apk.gz-files without having the phone rooted.
[URL="http://www.matrixrewriter.com/android/"Here[/URL] is listed "Restore individual apps+data directly from ADB backups. These backups can be made on Android 4.0+ without root access!" as a feature of the Titanium Backup Pro version. That doesn't help me, since ADB backups are different than the "apk.gz", right?
Is there any other possibility to restore the files?
Thanks a lot,
Manu
This tut might seem intimidating but follow it step by step and you should be rooted in no time

P.S. Stop calling it desire!!!
Hello and good day all
I was exploring the forum looking for backup files belong to razer phone. What i found out is only "three" backup.
My main subject in this thread is to request full backup files but not for "three".
And if it's possible to stick this thread as backup for all razer phone backup.
Thanks.
since no one feedback
I'll start posting what I've found so far
