Old Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 (SM-T211) - how to recover it? - Galaxy Tab 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've found an old tablet - Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 (SM-T211)
It's almost bricked - I cannot run it, OS doesn't start, looking on the screen - it starts up and reset in a circle.
But, here is one thing - when its battery is fully dead can connect it to the charger and then - start download mode (with buttons) or Galaxy Tab 3 screen (and nothing more here). This is only way to have anything else than black screen. Few minutes later, when battery has some energy, it doesn't work.
May I save this device? I now It's old and have limited performance, but It will be fine to get it back to life.
What do I need? What tools and rom?

Try to flash stock rom with Odin?

[Q] Gio Bricked? Or what? New species of problem

So I have a Samsung Galaxy Gio GT - 5660M. I recently flashed the G3MOD v2.3 kernel. I rebooted my device and now I can't start up my phone?! The buttons won't respond ( these: Power. Power + Home) but the download mode buttons work. Whenever I charge my phone (using any charger), the screen just flickers. I have tried flashing lots of roms (that are compatible with Gio, of course) with Odin but still no luck. I'd be soo happy if someone can fix my problem cause I don't wanna send it to Samsung (my last choice).
G3MOD kernel? Is that even a Gio kernel?
Please expand on what you did or did not do when trying to flash after the issues started.
G3MOD kernel is for Galaxy 3

[q] [gt-p5200] stuck in boot loop! Please help!!

I was flashing a new custom ROM on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1. When the Tab rebooted, it only showed the "Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1" logo, and then afterwards, it turned off. When i try to turn it on, it does the same every time. Also, when i plug the Tab into the wall charger, a weird looking picture comes up, instead of a normal, charging battery. The new picture that comes up, is a battery, with a sort of speed-o-meter inside the battery. (Very weird indeed). The Tab does boot up in Recovery Mode and Download Mode, but i have tried everything in both of these modes.
I live in Denmark, so i don't really know which firmware i exactly is going to use.
Please help me out of this trouble asap!
I flashed this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2624835
And, it is not locked to any network. I live in Denmark, and it also originated from there i believe.
It does like this after flashing firmware in Odin..(Look at attachment)
It shows this picture for like 6 seconds or so, and then it reboots, and does the same again...

Hi-
I get the same image as yours when I plug my tab to charge. It will eventually go to the actual battery with a green color showing the charge status. Now, this is on the US version. Probably the same all around, but I cannot say for sure.
For me to boot when I am in this state, takes about 6~10 seconds of holding down the power button. If yours reboots into Download and/or Recovery, does it then boot into normal mode? If not, you will have to reload the boot image, or Rom. I looked on the Sammobile site for Danish Rom but did not find one. Just about any European Rom should work. I downloaded a Rom that I think was European and loaded it. I now have the US Rom so I will use that.
The other Rom can be found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2650889
you can also find the US version in my post in the same thread. I believe if you load any version you will be good to go, until you can find your original OEM version.

I believe the firmware you are looking for is P5210XXUAMK8. Just do a google search for this firmware and you should be good to go.

[Q] Help! My tab is soft resetting.

So, here's my issue.
I rooted my Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1(SM-T520), but I wanted to flash a custom rom to conserve
battery life and allow the use of a wiimote as a controller. I used Odin 3.09, the TeamWin Recovory Project,
SuperUserSU, and I was going to flash SlimKat. It was suggested on one instruction set that I utilize
Quick Boot(Reboot) in order to boot into recovery, rather than use hardware keys, and I also either downloaded
a ROM Manager or already had it from when I tried to root my phone. So here's the chain of events:
-I boot the tab into the download mode in order to flash TWRP.
-My kitten falls asleep on my arm before I do anything, so I read instructions and try and figure out how this is all
going to work before committing.
-I fall asleep.
-The tab either ran out of battery or I shut it off to conserve battery. I had not actually started flashing it.
-Somehow I lose root access(I rooted it back in April or May.). I know this because I booted it up an hour later in order
to back everything up, and was unable to use TitaniumBacker. Also somehow my background app(auto wallpaper for reddit)
ceased functioning at this point, but that didn't set off any flags for me.
-I regain root access using the method I previously had used, after charging the tab for some time.
-I flash the tab with TWRP.
-I download Quick Boot(Reboot) in order to boot the phone into recovery. I then attempt to reboot, but it doesn't work as I
am unable to give the app permission.
-I am unable to find SuperSU so I download a different version, although Root Checker confirmed that I had root.
-Using the SuperSU I downloaded, I give root to Quick Boot.
-My tab immediately reboots, apparently because I had previously asked Quick Boot to reboot into recovery.
-My tab sticks at the logo screen, which reads "Samsung GALAXY TAB | PRO SM-T520".
I can reboot into download mode if I turn it off and hold power, Volume Down, and Home. The tab will not turn off and
stay off, it continues to reboot and stick at the logo screen.
Is there any way to return my tab to normal working condition? I'd settle for that, although if anyone knows how to
flash the thing into any AOSP rom that would be amazing. Let me know if you need any more information and I'll provide
what I can. I have the links to all of the guides and apps that I downloaded.
-----
I got some help from a redditor who suggested that I do the following:
"Have your wall charger ready.
Right before the tablet shuts down, plug the microusb RIGHT before it does, while still holding down the buttons to power it off. Might need a second hand. The battery icon should show up if you did it correctly, which means it's shut down all the way and won't restart on it's own.
Main cause of your issues is that the tablet isn't able to shut down fully and is just soft resetting."
Which I had some trouble with. I tried to follow these instructions to no avail. Is there any way to return my device to working condition? Thanks for any help you can provide!

P5210 (SGT3 10.1) Green animated charging icon missing

Recently I tried to upgrade my P5210 from 4.2.2 to CM12.1 5.1. The update failed because I could not get past the setup wizard. I decided to recover back to 4.2.2, but that failed. The recovery loaded but the tab was soft bricked. It would only boot into recovery (TWRP 2.8.6.0).
My recourse was to use Odin and flash P5210UEUANB2_P5210XARANB2_HOME.tar.md5 into the Tab. This was successful and I was now back to stock. I flashed TWRP, then performed a recovery of my last backup. My Tab was now back to the way I had it before trying the CM12.1 flash.
However, there seems to be one thing missing. Before flashing CM12.1, when I charged my Tab (with Tab power off) there was a green (or was it blue?) animated battery displayed. This would give me an indication of the state of charge. Now that I have flashed OEM, rooted, and restored, the green animated battery state of charge icon is missing.
I am wondering if this was some app I installed and forgot about, or if it was a part of the OEM flash and somehow is not being activated.
Does anyone here know about this green animated state of charge icon?
Thanks in advance.

Some roms don't have that display ,its completely normal whether you charge it powered on or off it will charge normally

S4 Mini I9195 flashed with official LineageOS ROM does not start anymore

Hello!
the issue:
My device s4 mini (serranoltexx) does not boot further than the initial Samsung logo (showing the "normal" warranty kernel in the left top end of the screen), and then turns black. I can't do anything beyond this stage. When I take out the battery and insert it again, the device boots /starts automatically until the samsung sign and turns black again.
the background:
Last year in July, I flashed mys4 mini (serranoltexx) using odin, twrp and one of the latest official lineageOS Roms 14.1 (July 2018), with nano gapps. But since this morning (10. of January 2019), I can't start my device anymore. The latest update, which I did for the ROM was in July. Due to work reasons and since the official maintenance expired, I did not follow any other Lineage updates for my device, e.g. on this website. But I could use my device daily without any problems until this morning, when I started an app (music player) and after a few tones, the music stopped and the device turned black. Since then I could not enter or boot my device properly. I use a 32gb sd card as an integrated storage.
steps already done:
I tried to enter the recovery mode. When switching it on (taking the battery out and back in), I can enter the initial screen of the recovery mode, but after may be 3 to 5 seconds it turns black again. Saying nothing. I intended to flashed fresh using odin and twrp, and then the latest lineageOS ROM versions from your website. But the same sequence happened again: After using the key sequence for entering the download mode, I can enter it and push the volume up button, but then the device turns black again, saying and reacting to nothing. I changed the batteries (I have several), but it did not change anything. And this puzzles me ....
I know that my device updated trwp yesterday - when my device was still working - but I turned it off and I could turn it one this morning functioning well until I used an app.
the question /the request:
Is there any possibility to fix this problem? Could anyone help me on this issue, please. I really like my s4 mini, I do not want throw it away. I would really appreciate any advice which would possibly fix my problems.
Many thanks in advance for your replies and help
