Okay guys many of the tab 3 devices have just gotten kitkat update so now it is time to talk about whether or not any of our tab 3 devices will recieve android l v5.0 love anytime soon or next year!
Let me know in the comments what you think will happen and please tell any rumours about samsungs plans if you find any.
Will samsung forget this great device or will it be forgotten?
Let me know what you think!
In the meantime check out this article I found:

Hi,
dude with the work you've been doing on the ui, you could probably/most likely
whip up something way classier.
We really need a different approach to android.
my vote for android L[ame] is no.

Samsung France has undoubtedly confirmed that the galaxy s3 neo obtain the update android lollipop. But they say " we don't have any informations about the date of the deployment"
(I CANT SEND THE SCREENSHOT OFF THE CHAT.)
Translation by google:
Elena:
Hello, welcome to Samsung. How can I help you today?
I am listening to you, Mr. G ****
Me:
Hello, I have a question on the Galaxy S3 GT-Neo I9301I.
* I would like to know when he will receive the upgrade Android Lollipop.
Elena:
I understand your request, sir.
*About your question on Android updated "version of Lollipop" on your "Neo Galaxy S3," I inform you that the deployment of the update is planned, but no information about the date for Deployment has been received for the moment. It depends on the distribution channel and also depends from one operator to another.
*Indeed, the date of provision of an update differs from a version of "Galaxy S3 Neo" to another.
To check the availability of a new update, I invite you to do the following: 1) Either via the Service FOTA (Firmware Over The Air): Menu → Settings → About device → Software Update → Update. 2) By connecting your mobile with Samsung Kies application: Download the latest version of Samsung KIES software via this link: samsung.com/fr/support/usefulsoftware/KIES Select "tab to download WINDOWS / MAC "and then click" Download Kies "to install it. After downloading I recommend you restart your computer. Then you connect your device. If there is an official update and available for your product, it will be automatically offered.
Now what is this guys? I invite those who have been so much busy to spread the famous (so called) news that there will be no lollipop update for s3 neo. Why?
Because their country representative of Samsung website or a Samsung page or chat page admin said that.
Wow awesome.
I always said that there is no final answer to this question about lollipop update, we have some time to get that (Samsung support policy ) but no..... no one listened.
It is a good news and thanks for sharing.

And i know it is not final yet. But give the people something to cheer, if you can't give happiness to someone please don't give sadness either.

Long liVe CM11! Samsung and their support 18 months policy is not factor. Thanks to our clever developers in the community, almost every device in market get their unofficial updates, which in more cases is better than stock firmware updates! Guys, everything is circle around the bussines. S3 Neo is not very popular device, but is better and more hw powerful than most of new device in the middle class! I'm happy to spend money in my 9301 beauty and the future L or even M update it's not represents any interest to me. Think about it - Nfc and what else? Nothing to fix! CM11 by Rox and slim CM11 is already optimized for our device, full xposed support - thats is very important. For me, this is most important criteria! So, when you buy new device, just thing about your future needs. If you not like your device, then you're make a mistake with the purchase! Be happy with that gou have, thankful and if you're not okay with something I wish for you to get your lovely and most closer to you device soon as possibble!
Best regards, guys!

yes , samsung UK officialy canceled the update to galaxy s3 neo. When I spoke with advised samsung , he explained that the update would be available only in certain countries. " It depends on the distribution channel ." If Samsung UK made an official announcement, it concerns only his country.

I repeat, the official announcements of Samsung's divisions concerns only their country. Youmobile is based on UK sources, which only concerns the UK division .

are you sure ?
O sh*t, but stupid galaxy core prime will get updated to 5.1.1 according to gsm arena.
Not sure why people are getting worked up over it... rooting your phone and using odin is much more fun
Its, sad to hear that some devices like S3 Neo got the Lollipop but our not, but the real answer is that S3 Neo will not get Lollipop update, maybe future updates based on 4.4.2 or 4.4.4 will come but Lollipop update not, just stop to hope to get an official Lollipop update from Samsung.
I just wanted to share it with you! I hoped it as well, but it will not come!

It will get lollipop youmobile is only uk...
Germany samsung told me that it is likely we are going to get it he didn't say no uk will not likely get it
that tweet is from July . that's old news. also there is a GT-I9301i ( aka neo+ in some regions ) that has 1.5 ram and good processor. That may get updated. Also. i don't care any more They can shove the update when the sun don't shine. They released 50 phone variants and now they can't update all of them and playing the : it can't run that android version bull**** . This will probably be my first and last Samsung device.

Hello.
I have a question about 1.4 update. Will Sony or Google give our watches this update?
Or is it possible to manually create/build this update?
I'm asking because, I'm from Poland and I wait for the Polish language
My English isn't too good and this is my first post on XDA so please understand me.
Thanks for your help

Hello! Welcome to XDA community
As far as I know the update is issued by Google themselves, not Sony, so we just have to wait. I've read somewhere that one of the Sony officials (from Sony Germany I think) wrote that the update will be out before 15th April. It's pretty freaking late because Android Wear 1.4 is out for almost two months now.
I'm also waiting for Polish language

Have you got any sources that state that the AW 1.4 update is coming before the 15th April? I'm sorry if i sound skeptic, but I'm looking forward to buying this watch (as in Italy it now costs 140 euros, which is pretty cheap), but the whole update thing kinda scares me away...
A few things about android updates...
They happen when they happen. Whatever rumors we get are just that, rumors
Eventually these watches will be phased out of updates, but that has not happened yet, and should not for at least the next generation or two (this speculation based on Android's close to two year update support)
This watch has many hardware oddities that make it take longer for some updates (this is one), and some of those are why I enjoy this watch
There is a thread on the general forum about this. There are official links confirming the update is coming. When, now that is a different story.
