Hi...
about 10 days ago i flashed MIUI12 using TWRP. it booted without any issue but the rom was very bad (specially in multi tasking), gallery was unable to delete anythings and so on... so I decided to flash a custom rom.
at first i flashed RevengeOS.. the rom booted successfully but had many issues (that i figured came from the rom)... i tested some other roms but all of them stick in boot animation so that they try to load first setup wizard (?) but can't load the setup wizard app so replay boot animation. i flashed the mentioned MIUI12 but.. same issue... i flashed quartz V5 that i used before all of this, but... again same issue...
can anyone help me please?
sorry for my bad english.

Hey guys!
I faced with this annoying problem today. I successfully rooted my phone then made a backup with twrp? or smth like this and then I could successfully install myonev rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1647052 and then the titanium-kiss kernel as well.
Everything worked like a charm until I wanted to install a new rom. I moved the rom's zip file to the sd card then wiped cache and then tried to install the new rom, tried with bluesense and with suprimo too. When they started to install the rom they always gets stuck and the buttons appear which says next and save log. If I click on next it says that it successfully installed but its not true. And I get this problem with both of the roms.
I tried to do factory reset as well. I tried to do everything like in this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1996665
Please help me.
Greg
well,
that's my first post, and i'm french so for further error and inapropriate thing excuse me
I have the beautifull LG g pro, french model so it's e986. when I flash for the first time a rom on this phone (liquid/jellysmooth) I didn't get any problem at all...
you see the problem begin when I flash xperianze rom, it's not exactly a flashable zip but a backup, so I carrefully did a full wipe data/cache then format system then wipe dalvik cache.
when the phone reboot everything was ok until I see that i don't have any signal, it was because of my imei who disapeared...
so i decided to return to paranoid rom...same thing again...
after that i reflashed jellysmooth, everything seems to be ok until the phone reboot...
And here the phone freeze on the boot image!! and this is for every rom I flash! (CM11,10.2,10.3, PAC ,PA, Carbonrom, mokee... etc etc)
so the problem is not on the package,I think it's only on the boot.img, it freeze at the middle of the animation and then reboot again and again...
I tried philztouch, CWM with freegee, with 2nd-init, twrp 2.6 etc etc....
however don't worry about my imei I just recover it with flashtool so for now I'm on stock rom...
but you guess how much custom rom miss me :crying:
To resume, it's impossible to flash any custom rom without having a bootloop because of a freeze in the animation boot.
I noticed also that when i root a fresh stock recover from flashtool and install cwm, i can only flash 1 custom rom, jellysmooth worked for me after a return to stock rom. but when i want to flash another rom after that, I get this problem again ...
i'm not a novice, I didn't make an error like forgeting to wipe something because i did lot's of try ,in fact I have flashed more than 80roms with around 6 devices, because i want to find the best one (especially for game like real racing 3) but it's not the problem right?
So, please can you help me? :fingers-crossed:
Ho came on guy ! ?
Sent from my LG-E986 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I am using TWRP 3.1.1 on my redmi 1s and was using AOSP Extended Rom v4.4 .I thought of trying the phone encryption option but the device went into bootloop. Now only MIUI rom is working and all other ROMs' flashes result into bootloop. Recovery is fine. Is encryption the problem.
First, flashing custom roms requires firmware: get it at https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73812026&postcount=2
2nd some roms has problems within zip files causing some bootloops or error while flashing
for example AOSP EXTENDED ROM, there is a work around for that get it here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=72648733&postcount=223

But I had previously flashed several ROMs without any problem they worked fine(even AOSP Ext). The glitch came after trying to encrypt my phone after which it went into bootloops. Strangely MIUI roms are working fine and recovery also looks good. could anyone please suggest what is the problem.I really hate MIUI.

Disabling Encryption is not an option ROM is already damaged.
I am currently using aosp 8.0 ROM as my daily driver. When I found out that the new aosp 8.1 ROM is available,I flashed(did a clean wipe thou)it got encryption issue(and asked me to reset my phone..when I clicked on the reset button it just used to boot me into my Twrp recovery)so thought something was faulty in the ROM
Then I saw pixel experience ROM based on 8.1 flashed got the same issue again.....I tried to install stock 7.0 recovery from Lenovo it say resetting system but the problem is still there....I also tried changing my my data partition to ext4 but the problem still exist.....SOMEONE PLZ HELLLPPPP
..btw every 8.0 and lower version of ANDRIOD ROM works perfectly.
Hi flash this on twrp https://build.nethunter.com/android-tools/no-verity-opt-encrypt/no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.0.zip and let me know if it works for you, had the same problem.

i have the problem on all oreo roms, i press encrypt, then i see the custom logo loading, and at the reboot i am STILL UNENCRYPTED. the problem is that being unencrypted i do not see any option to use the FINGERPRINT scanner!
