From what I can tell the One UI 2.5 firmware update for the Galaxy A50s is presently available only in Vietnam, but as always, the rollout should expand to additional countries soon enough.
What I read is that Galaxy A50s owners can enjoy One UI 2.5 and all its new features such as Bitmoji functionality for Always On Display, an improved camera experience, new Samsung Keyboard features, SOS functionalities for Messages, Google’s navigation gestures for third-party apps and more.
It will also include the November security patches.
Cool. This are the forums for A50 though. Rumours are, it'll come in December.
Samsung support service in the US confirmed that it will come out for the A50 in December if everything goes as planned
Also update for Europe should get out A505FNXXS5BTK1 and the log file said it's 2.5
That's nice but I prefer Google's PixelUI, it's more smoother and not power eater like OneUI.
But for someone who wants to keep with stock, it's probably great news.

Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean in charge of operations. Due to its incredibly slim profile and older generation quad-core processor, it was plagued with over-heating issues. We are not sure if those were resolved by Huawei, but if not, now is a good time for the company to make some optimizations and improvements.
The Huawei Ascend P6 was just officially confirmed to get the Android 4.4 KitKat treatment. The Chinese have taken it to Baidu to announce that the super slim smartphone will be getting the latest major Android release in January. Alongside it will come the new version of the company's proprietary Emotion UI.
Huawei is among the first to announce its KitKat upgrade plans, but is surely not the only one to skip Android 4.3 and move straight to the new KitKat version.
Android 4.4 KitKat was announced on the last day of October. It brings Project Svelte UI optimizations, bigger UI icons, removes the widgets from the app drawer, new Hangouts SMS/MMS/Gtalks unified hub, new Email app, new Phone app with nearby search and more. It even lowers the hardware requirements for the Android OS.
And the Ascend P6 owners will be able to enjoy all of these new features in just two months. http://www.gsmarena.com/huawei_ascend_p6_gets_android_44_kitkat_in_january-news-7195.php
all i hope ... they allow us to put widgets in lockscreen :crying:
Hi guys, Samsung are rolling out Android 4.4.4 to their mobile devices. But I have not seen any reports of that update for our Tab S or even the Tab Pro. Any news on this?
And what specific changes did Samsung add to Touch-wiz in this update (to the devices it's been released on).
Thanks
A new Samsung Galaxy S5 Android 4.4.4 KitKat update is hitting the phone to solve problems and also to prepare it for the upcoming Voice over LTE technology.
The Android Kitkat updates have been hitting the phones of major carriers but the last several either caused new bugs or didn’t solve all of them, prompting the 4.4.4.
“One of the devices that’s in the midst of an Android 4.4.4 KitKat update push is the Samsung Galaxy S5. Just about a week ago, the Galaxy S5 Android 4.4.4 KitKat update hit the Verizon Galaxy S5. The update was a bit of a surprise given how slow Verizon typically is to Android updates. The update’s change log was never publicized though there’s chatter about it fixing a Bluetooth issue. Today though, Verizon is rolling out a bunch larger Android 4.4.4 KitKat build,” according to Gotta Be Mobile.
The new update includes fixing the problem of an incorrect number of unread emails on the notification screen, and audio of the Bluetooth headset, and a camera shutters sound issue.
More tracking features have also been added to the S-Health, including Weight, Sleep, Stress, and Coach.
The update also includes tech that prepares the device for the upcoming VoLTE technology, which enables calls to sound better and clearer while having users talk on the phone while being able to use the Internet at the same time.
While Verizon’s S5 is the first model to get the 4.4.4., the other models are expected to receive it soon.
Meanwhile, some variants of the Galaxy S4, Galaxy Tab 3 and Galaxy Tab 4 have been getting the Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware recently.
The latest Google Android build is Android 4.4.4 KitKat, but that is only coming out for the very latest Samsung devices such as the Galaxy Alpha and the Galaxy Note 4–and the Galaxy S5–at present.
In the United States, Sprint are working on releasing the Android 4.4.4 KitKat for the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S5, while T-Mobile could be rolling out the update for the Galaxy S4.
Some United Kingdom carriers and Optus in Australia could also be making the update available for the Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S5 LTE-A.
Samsung could eventually release the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update to its other phones, but at present, Samsung users will have to stick with a slightly older Android build.

You're not even serious LOL. the Tab S had only been out 3 months. Samsung has been known to update their devices up to 2 years out from release.

True that but after 12 months passes for a device I wouldn't hold my breath....

This is their flagship device. I'm very confident we'll see the L Preview and their next iteration of the "L", after that.

Agreed. Looking forward to it.
That was a nice joke
My guess also is that Samsung will skip directly to L for the Tab S. They don't do frequent updates, that's true. So why would they bother with a relatively insignificant interim update?
Lenovo-owned Motorola recently launched its first all-metal smartphone - Moto M, in India. Priced at Rs 15,999, the handset runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. But now, the company has confirmed that Android 7.0 Nougat update will be hitting the Moto M soon.
Motorola announced the news via a tweet but did not reveal the exact time frame of the OS' release.
"The phone is out there, and the Nougat update will be out soon," tweeted Motorola India.
It is worth mentioning that the Lenovo-owned company has already started rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat update for its Moto G4 and G4 Plus smartphones in India.
Android 7.0 Nougat is claimed to improve the overall experience of the OS. It brings enhanced multitasking features and better notification controls. It also introduces better data saving and battery conservation features. Some of the productivity-centric features included in the Nougat update are quick switching between apps, multi-window view and work mode (for users of Android for Work). In terms of performance, Android 7.0 Nougat brings features like Data Saver, Doze on the Go and other stability improvements.
In addition, features such as custom quick settings, quick settings bar, improved navigation, suggested settings, lockscreen wallpaper, improved system backup coverage and new emojis also come as a part of the new update.
In India Moto M will be available on open sale exclusively via Flipkart from December 14, 11:59PM.

Citibank credit card users can get Rs 1000 off on the handset. Other offers include Rs 1000 off on the Moto Pulse 2 headset and EMI options starting Rs 776 per month.
Hello, I'm planning to upgrade my 2018 mid-range phone to a refurbished (fully original) S9 for a good price. But, how's the phone in 2021?
Edit: S9+ comments are also appreciated.
Samsung dropped support for SGS9 so there is no point in buying this phone right now if you want to use official rom. If you are prepared for some AOSP on Samsung you do not have some apps and IME services because of samsung's propitiatory implementations. Although, it's decent phone with amazing display and astonishing camera but after 2,5 year i REALLY NEED to change battery if I want to use my phone more than 5h.
I'm still unsure since new mid-range phones still don't offer the build quality the S9 has (actually they gone worse), or some of them won't be getting 2 year software updates (which makes them stuck in android 11 lol). But in the other hand, s9 stuck with android 10.
Is there any OneUI port from S10, S20 or S21? If there is, how are they? I couldn't see any OneUI port on XDA but maybe it's me being blind.
What do i lose if i use roms. For example, is speaker quality same as stock, or display?
Please can someone tell me if the A70 will get android 12 update? S10 is officially getting android 12 and the A70 was released after the S10, also it was a quiet expensive device so I don't see why it won't get the update.
Samsung promised 3 OS updates for the S series, starting from S10. It also promised 4 years of security updates (only 2 OS) for every phone launched in 2019 and beyond.
No OEM loves long-term supports. It's bad for business. So there's no official One UI 4.x for the A70.
But that's why we're here. Of course there'll be some unofficial ports. And it'll be exciting.

S10 series was released in early 2019 even before A70 was released and will still get android 12 so why not the A70? They said they will give A series 3 major OS updates like S series and then they just decide not to do that! This is unacceptable.
EDITED
Maybe that is to force you to buy new phones, I am not sure.

The official word from Samsung was to give their flagship Galaxy S-series five years of support, like Apple, that is 3 major OS updates, and two years of support.
The official word for phones released in 2019 and beyond is to give them 4 years of support, 2 major OS updates, and 2 years of security updates.
Understand this. The 3 major updates are only for the S-series (possible the Note, too) as of Samsung's official essay. That means neither the A-series nor the M-series are included.
That doesn't mean there's no chance we might not get Android 12, officially. But, even if that happened, it'll not be soon. That's how business works. Push people to buy the next phone.
In my country, I can trade my phone with an S10 for less than 50$. Maybe you should buy an S10 if you really want 12.
There was 3 major updates, mine has come with android 9, then 10 and now 11...
