Deleted. Fixed after factory reset

i have a day-old desire which i initially loaded up with a few apps but found that the process would crash when i tried to manage my applications.
i guessed that one of my apps was causing this so i did a hard reset (clear storage).
now when i try and enter my vodafone apn settings the process there crashes.
i've done another hard reset but this hasn't fixed it ...
is there some way that i can fully restore the phone to factory settings or do i now have to return the phone ?
thanks in advance
have found that Privacy / Factory Reset has solved the problem.
I am having an issue with my battery and had recently installed a bunch of apps and widgets so not knowing which on was the culprit I deleted them and wanted to just do a factory reset and start over. But I would like to know that I am completely wiping everything and starting as if I bought it new. The problem is that when I do a Factory Reset through the settings menu I still have the same wallpaper, so I know it hasn't been completely wiped. So I go through recovery and wipe the cache and do a factory reset that way and it still has the same wallpaper. How can I completely wipe this thing? This is an unrooted, stock G2 if that makes a difference.

Yes I have searched and came up with nothing new.
Try not signing-in to your google account once you do a factory reset. When you sign-in, your previous settings/configurations are being restored.

I prematurely pulled my battery when replacing with a fresh (didn't wait for the final vibrate before I pulled the battery) and have some dialer corruption issues so not able to make any calls right now.
FC on process com.sec.android.app.dialertab and
process android.process.acore
Cleared data on
Dialer
Dialer Storage
Phone
Any other options before doing a complete data wipe or factory reset?
Thanks

Try reflashing the ROM first.
Do you BONSAI?
My girlfriend updated her Galaxy S3 OTA and hasn't been unlocked,rooted...etc
But gmail,play store...etc aren't working a process.gapp crash when I turn the phone on,who do I fix that
I'd be tempted to factory reset.
You could root and wipe the cache, etc.
Or maybe just as the phone is now go into apps and clear data/cache for the offending apps.

I would prefer not doing a factory reset because it would downgrade the OS and delete all her apps...etc
Anyone?
A factory reset would not downgrade the OS, but it would delete all apps and data. As mentioned earlier, I would go the the apps settings screen and clear cache on apps that were offending and on all service apps. If that doesn't help, clear data on them as well. If it's still having problems than a factory reset would be the only other thing to do unless you're willing to root the phone (and most root methods involve odin which would result in a factory reset anyway).
I accidentally Removed phone manager app. Is there any way to get it back without factory reset, my phone is rooted btw. Problem I'm facing is that apps don't clear from recents panel
