Samsung Pay in Gwa2 help tizen 5.5 - Samsung Galaxy Watch

Hi everyone, I have a GWA2 tizen 5.5 csc ZTO with ecg/bp installed; initially my watch was a EUR csc (I live in Greece).
My problem is that sPay only accepts Brazilian cards, when I try to add a card I click on the compatible cards and its only Brazilian banks. It does make sense, since my csc is ZTO, however o was wondering if there is any way to change the region in sPay app only? I am worried that if I change my csc now it might create problems in bp/ecg functions.
Tks in advance

Samsung SmartWatch Active 2 4G/LTE

Hello people,
I bought an active 2 smartwatch with LTE (eSIM) in Spain. I thought it would be relatively easy to turn it on in Portugal (the initial version is supported by one of the network operators). However I have come to the conclusion that the network connection depends on the "goodwill of the network operator", although both smartwatches have exactly the same connection frequencies. Is this anyway or is something escaping my comprehension ?
Any one can help ?
Best Regards

Your PHE (Spain) watch won't work in Portuguese networks, neither Samsung Pay (in case you have Samsung Pay in Portugal).
For both features to work, is mandatory to change CSC from PHE (Spain) to TPH (Portugal)... With this smartwatch, R825F, till now is not possible. Read this thread for a similar smartwatch, the R830 https://forum.xda-developers.com/smartwatch/galaxy-watch/changing-region-galaxy-active-2-t3983895 and you'll see that is a complex process and it involves the use of a combination file specific to the smartwatch and for the R825F till now is not available anywhere.
I'm in your same situation, I have the DBT (German) CSC, and I want to use in Spain, so I need to change to PHE. So eagerly waiting (and searching) for the R825F combination file.
Any help appreciated!

Hi.
Thanks for the comment. I don't think if that's the question (PHE), I think the letters identify the language of the country. The base version:
https://www.samsung.com/global/galaxy/galaxy-watch-active2/carrier/
is exactly the same for a group of countries. I think there must be technical problems that only with the introduction of 5G networks will be solved, however in Portugal a older model sold by an Portuguese operator works perfectly:
https://www.samsung.com/global/galaxy/galaxy-watch/carrier/
and the frequencies are exactly the same.
Merry Christmas
Dear Guerrero
I just connected my Samsung smartwatch bought in Spain to the carrier network in Portugal that already has eSIM.
I could only do it using an IPhone 11 smartphone, which was able to read the QR Code, because with my Samsung S9, I couldn't reach this stage.
I am experiencing the behavior of my smartwatch SM-R835, then I will tell my impressions.
Greetings

S20 Ultra from Chinese ROM to South Korea-Hong Kong ROM is it possible?

Hi guys,
I'm gonna buy a S20 Ultra in China and I would like to change the Chinese ROM with the South Korean ROM or if is not possible with the Hong Kong one.
I know that some Chinese, to save money, buy HK mobiles and change the ROM to Chinese so I think should be possible do the opposite, I think they share the same hardware.
In case is it possible I would prefer the South Korea ROM coz probably it will have faster updates..
Do you know if South Korean and Chinese S20 have exactly the same hardware? To install the Korean ROM hiw can I do? Is it simple and I can do by myself? Do you have any tips?
Many thanks..
Hi,
I don't know about the S20, but I did exactly that with the S10+ (which had a Snapdragon 855 and identical specs across both HK and Chinese version).
It worked better with HK since it didn't have as much bloatware or google restrictions...and english can be made to be default.
I just got my S20+ and will probably be trying this soon as well. Stay tuned.
A.C.
I'm interested too if it is possible to flash a HK ROM on another snapdragon s20+ (SM-G986N). The problem is that the Korean version has bloatware from KT. I did manage to disable most of them, but I would be happier if can come without bloatware out of the box
Great!! Thanks AloxeCorton.. Will be the first time I will do it. So if you have any link to follow the procedure will be really appreciated.
Mishufac I would like install an unlocked ROM so shouldn't have many bloatware. Do you think the SK ROM will have more than HK one?

Mine is KT branded and I know it has more bloatware than HK version. I think if you manage to get KOR national CSC it will be better. Mine is KTC and I haven't managed to change the CSC by flashing KOR version with Odin

You can Switch between China, HK and Taiwan with no problems but not to Korea since it has a different model number.

I saw many Weibo Chinese S20 users say that the camera has improved in many places, including the well-known ice universe
There is also a big change in the algorithm of fingerprint recording, which can be quickly entered like S9 / Note9.
Fingerprint unlock speed is more agile and transition animation is adjusted better

there can't be any differences at all because both TGY and CHC firmwares are LITERALLY the same bit to bit
which is the best firmware between china, TW and HK?
I have the s20+ and I have the "open china" one, but 5g works only with the second SIM slot. That's very strange.

Importing Snapdragon s20 to UK.

Hi all, new to this, needed some help from you guys to clarify something for me. I want to import the Snapdragon variant of s20 from Korea to UK. Is it possible to flash UK firmware on this and get updates as normal for my region? Not sure if region specific firmware is tailored for Snapdragon or exynos. Any help at all would be highly appreciated.
S20 snapdragon has a different model number and you will not be able to flash any EU firmwares on it.
No, you'd need the Exynos International model to use UK firmware, if you want Snapdragon running English firmware import it from the US
Why do you need English firmware?
I am using an HK One and its good for everything including Samsung Pay.

Thanks for replying guys. So I don't really need to do anything other than change language during set up? Im with Vodafone UK. I read volte doesn't work but also read that it does work too lol. I'm guessing I can log into Samsung account as normal for themes and wallpapers, and use play store as normal for banking apps etc? Not fussed about Samsung pay really.

Everything should work fine, including carrier specific features such as volte and Vowifi. I have imported a snapdragon S20+ from Hong Kong in Romania and with Orange I have every single carrier features working correctly (Volte/VoWIFI/5G/RCS). It's just that the APN profiles won't get installed by default, at least not in my case. If you have any further questions I'd be glad to help you.
I use the s20 plus snapdragon in the uk, Taiwan model I think.. How do I get Samsung members to show English language mainly

Found a way to change the CSC on our Fold 4!
Hi guys, This is not gonna be much info but to let you know it is possible, at a cost. So I bought an F936N - CSC: KTC (Korean). It came with the KT branding and the nasty bloatware with the extra setting menu for KT. I was sick of it. I tried...

maybe this could help.
Hey.
I think everybody in Europe has the same issue.
I'm in France and detected in Germany so I can't set up Samsung Wallet.
On my S21U, same SIM, same place, that works.
They f*cked up something with their new EUX CSC.
I've sent them a lot of message and posted on the Members app but I didn't get any answer.
It happens to me the same way I have csc eux eux eux wwa
hi, i have the same problem, fold 4 Germany and samsung pay doesn't work. I changed CSC putting the India one but I hadn't received the update to A13 and therefore I had to put CSC Eux back, the problem remains DTM branded. On you tube there is a guide through the Alliance Shield app to change the region but I don't understand if it works for A13.
