Hi, I used to use my LG Optimus G Pro with AT&T (LG E-980) but have moved over to T-Mobile and am unable to download the latest AT&T patch. Can someone share or post a link where I can download this? Thank you in advance.
I dont recommend it.
It totally killed my phone, made it laggy and buggy. Many of us have complained about. Its just a itty bitty security update... thats all, nothing special.
It kills the recovery and root and ull have to reinstall kitkat stock through ADB in order to get ur phone normal again.
Dont join the club dude, i warned u.

Better make sure you didn't buy a fake phone because what you're saying is impossible to do withoutroot. What's the Baseband and kernel version of the phone?

That's weird.. I don't have an answer for that unless AT&T decided to remove all their bloatware from that firmware baseband which is highly unlikely lol. Maybe someone else might know.

You can update the firmware by using adb sideload but I don't think it's a good idea really because it's awfully weird that you have no bloatware on it.. And the bootloader is locked. You can also use odin on a Windows pc to flash the firmware while it's in download mode like that but like I said I'd be careful because you can't make a full system image backup without root and twrp so if something goes wrong there is no going back so just be sure you want to do something before doing it..
It's possible the device you have was sideloaded with an early bloat free build of whatever version you are on. If you update you will get the bloat. If you didn't want it, should not have purchased at&t version.

Early build of one of the updates. Some of the updates att posted to the servers weren't pushed out and I remember some were missing all the ATT crap. People were pulling them down manually by figuring out the direct download link.
Thanks.

There's definitely something not right about that phone.. I'm not sure what it is though.. If that was my phone I would just take the risk and reinstall the 'same' firmware that's already on it to see if that makes any difference.. Or just get an alarm app from the play store.

I'm pretty sure this is what was done to remove the bloatware from the phone before you got it because doing it with this windows application leaves virtually no trace of having been done..
debloater tool
All the bloatware was really still there it was just disabled causing it to not be shown on your device.. This is the same thing Package Disabler pro does the difference is, if you remove Package Disabler then all the apps will return but with the debloater tool it doesn't install anything to your device hence why you wouldn't know how it happened.

When they're disabled with that tool they do not show up in app manager either. But like I said, there's obviously something not right with your device.

You the man.. can you add g7 ar camera stickers.. I just tried to do it using the system dump but I don't know which files to pull.. if you can do a full system port as a g7 rom thats even better.. great work.. flashing now.. if I do decide to sim unlock, just add the T-Mobile SIM unlock app?

I'll see what I can do about maybe making a flashable for the Camera as this is just a Stock base I don't wanna add something others may not want. I'm super busy so may be a couple days. I'll also upload a new link that has the T-Mobile SIM unlock app added back.
Hey, sorry for the dumb question but I keep on seeing 20K, 20D etc behind the rom versions - what does it mean?

Stock LG firmware version the ROM is based on. 10 is Nougat, 20 starts Oreo.
For some reason European bottle builds are at higher versions (20Y even 21A), but that doesn't mean they are more advanced than North American 20E.

If you referring to flashing this rom.. Ignore it like I did.. Some parts say 20d.. Magisk says it when flashing but you get 20k.. Mine rebooted 3 times for full boot.. Twrp acted up like I had nothing but recovery after flashing, but I have vendor partition with no treble rom.. The button key combo fixed the issue.. Booted normal and then recovery started acting right.. But if you looking for old to new, the higher the combination, the newer.. 10d>20d>20k

Maybe try adb pull /system which should have all the apks from system minus the ones with elevated privileges. Well if you have the g7 to do that from

Edit: Data was encrypted. Wiped data and reflashed fixed it
Gonna have an update for ya guys did some tweaking on the kernel so grab your favorite kernel manager and see what settings work best for you!, removed T-Mobile boot for Pixel boot and Shutdown animation added all Android P UI notification and ringtones. More to come later trying to get best stock experience possible. Don't ask for original apks please they are pretty easy to find.

From this thread, it seems that the bootloader on the stylo 4 can't be unlocked, which makes it impossible to root. So I guess it is the same for the stylo 4+.

Yes but I mean if I do not lose my files when updating, like my photos or applications I hope and you answer me fast because I am about to update
I didn't lose any files.
Heads up that payment apps do not currently work with this update. Android Pay says this is not an official rom, and LG Pay requires and update for android 10 that doesn't exist yet. I suspect because although it might be official firmware, it hasn't officially been released yet.
Hmmm thinking of pulling the trigger on this. Wondering if they made improvements in the camera app? Also wondering if there is a battery drain. A lot of updates from several different phone manufacturer's are reporting battery drain after updating to Android 10.
Yes

I notice the battery exactly the same, the camera improved and added new modes, but mainly the interface and fluidity of the Android 10 device improved much more than with Android 9
I took a gamble and decided to install it. Maaananaannnnn am I love this update. What a refinement! Feels like a new phone so much more polished that 9 was on the g8. Also loving the system wide dark made aka night mode. Everything is so buttery smooth
Meanwhile T-Mobile won't say anything on when they will push the update out for their variant. :crying:
