That's weird.. I don't have an answer for that unless AT&T decided to remove all their bloatware from that firmware baseband which is highly unlikely lol. Maybe someone else might know.

You can update the firmware by using adb sideload but I don't think it's a good idea really because it's awfully weird that you have no bloatware on it.. And the bootloader is locked. You can also use odin on a Windows pc to flash the firmware while it's in download mode like that but like I said I'd be careful because you can't make a full system image backup without root and twrp so if something goes wrong there is no going back so just be sure you want to do something before doing it..
It's possible the device you have was sideloaded with an early bloat free build of whatever version you are on. If you update you will get the bloat. If you didn't want it, should not have purchased at&t version.

Early build of one of the updates. Some of the updates att posted to the servers weren't pushed out and I remember some were missing all the ATT crap. People were pulling them down manually by figuring out the direct download link.
Thanks.

There's definitely something not right about that phone.. I'm not sure what it is though.. If that was my phone I would just take the risk and reinstall the 'same' firmware that's already on it to see if that makes any difference.. Or just get an alarm app from the play store.

I'm pretty sure this is what was done to remove the bloatware from the phone before you got it because doing it with this windows application leaves virtually no trace of having been done..
debloater tool
All the bloatware was really still there it was just disabled causing it to not be shown on your device.. This is the same thing Package Disabler pro does the difference is, if you remove Package Disabler then all the apps will return but with the debloater tool it doesn't install anything to your device hence why you wouldn't know how it happened.

When they're disabled with that tool they do not show up in app manager either. But like I said, there's obviously something not right with your device.

Stock LG firmware version the ROM is based on. 10 is Nougat, 20 starts Oreo.
For some reason European bottle builds are at higher versions (20Y even 21A), but that doesn't mean they are more advanced than North American 20E.

If you referring to flashing this rom.. Ignore it like I did.. Some parts say 20d.. Magisk says it when flashing but you get 20k.. Mine rebooted 3 times for full boot.. Twrp acted up like I had nothing but recovery after flashing, but I have vendor partition with no treble rom.. The button key combo fixed the issue.. Booted normal and then recovery started acting right.. But if you looking for old to new, the higher the combination, the newer.. 10d>20d>20k

You can update to Oreo without changing the bootloader version. Oreo has been out for a while and most carriers, except Sprint, upgraded to it while still using b4.
The bootloader is basically a security measure to prevent unauthorized use of the phone like modding or changing roms. B8 isn't rootable, so if that matters to you, don't update. For Sprint users on b5,6,7 this allows the Unlocked firmware to be installed again.
Most people will just see it as another update, but most of the XDA community see it as a gift for updated Sprint phones or avoid like the plague for others because of root and flexibility.

There is a full Odin of sprint SC8 out and there's an uodate on Firmware science that is not carrier specific that updates SBA to SD3. Pretty sure the SC8 Odin can be installed for any carrier, just dont use the userdata unless you are on sprint. I'm installing the SD3 now.
This made a HUGE improvement on fingerprints. I deleted all my saved and when i re-did them it registered every touch with very little pressure for 4 fingers. (I do two for each thumb) I maybe got 3 errors saying press harder the whole setup. When unlocking it unlocked 10 out of 10 times and quicker than before.
