FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Q: What do you mean by "Unified" in the thread title?
A:*Redmi Note 9S or Indian Redmi Note 9 Pro (curtana), Redmi Note 9 Pro Global Global (joyuese), Redmi Note 9 Pro Max (excalibur), POCO M2 Pro (gram) are basically the same devices, the only significant difference is the 33W charging support on the gram, joyuese & excalibur with joyuese having NFC as well. So I have decided to do a single, unified build for supporting curtain, Excalibur, gram & joyuese.
Q: Which GApps do I use?
A:*Pico & Nano Opengapps i would suggest for vanilla build only
Q: Do I have to wipe data if coming from another ROM?
A:*Yes, I will not be providing help/support to users that haven't wiped data when coming from another ROM.
Q: How often will I be getting updates?
A:*The plan is for bimonthly, if unavoidable circumstances come up, please don't spam the thread. I will release a build as soon as one is ready.
Q: Is the ROM official?
A:*The ROM is Official.
Q: I use Telegram, where can I find help on that platform?
A:*Tag me https://t.me/LegionOS
Q: Does SafteyNet pass?
A:*Yes, SafetyNet does pass.
Q: I'm having high idle drain, please fix.
A:*I'll need more data from you to figure it out, Install BetterBatteryStats and let me know about what it tells you after 3-4 charge cycles. Please do not report issues when having apps like Greenify, Naptime, Wakelock blocker, etc.

Hello,
Did this rom has already Gapps in it? If Gapps are already present, is there a version without Gapps?
Also, I have a Joyeuse device, and I don't understand what this means: "Reboot to slot A (B if on A | A if on B) {ONLY FOR A/B PARTITION DEVICES}"
Thank you.

Hi,
Thank you, but I was unable to install it.
Probably because I'm on RROS, so I should (I suppose) go back to stock miui and then move forward from there, I don't know.

First time installing crDroid to your Mi Max 3, or coming from another ROM:
** Make sure you're running the latest TWRP Recovery
1) Copy crDroid zip, Firmware zip, gapps zip
2) Boot into Recovery
3) Wipe cache, system, & data (or just cache & system for a dirty flash).
4) Flash Firmware
5) Flash ROM
6) Flash gapps
7) Boot up
For root, AFTER you boot into the ROM, you can go back to recovery and install Magisk XX.x (whatever is most recent).
Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.
KNOWN ISSUES
- The FM radio app can't output to speaker (yet)

Best ROM for MiMax3 for me so far...thx a lot!!!
So I've been using Xiaomi.eu since buying the Mi Max 3... Is it worth the hassle installing the stable rom and then over to crDroid?
Are their any negatives with crDroid when compared to Xiaomi.eu?

Only thing you need if you're on xiaomi.eu is wiping, flashing firmware then the ROM and gapps if needed. I recommend you to use orangefox for the process.
In my opinion (from someone who hates miui) there's no negatives aspects. You'll got miui camera thanks to BlackSeraph work. Battery backup is almost the same. But if you don't like it you still can do the same in other way for returning to xiaomi.eu.
The question is do you need something on miui ? Everything else and even more is also on crdroid.
Regards

Thanks man, you make it sound easy and worthwhile to check it out, at least.
I've been using orangefox for a bit and have been using it for the weekly xiaomi.eu builds.
With the wiping, which options do I choose?
Flashing the firmware, would this be the latest release?
Then what about each crDroid release, do I just wipe Caches & Delvic Cache prior to flashing and after crDroid flash?

Everything is written in the OP for installations steps. BlackSeraph does not need to update the firmware yet.
Next update will be by BlackSeraph (the main dev) and will include OTA. so yes next will be flashable and wipe dalvik and cache .. and then will be directly inside OTA app.
Regards
I started downloading all files but might wait for OTA before jumping off xiaomi.eu.
Good to know it's coming and will make life easier for any updates.

Why? OTA is only a bit easier for updates...I would change as soon as possible...crDroid is so much better then MIUI!!! Next update with ota flash over last version...ready!

Probably just thinking along the lines of.. no issues ever with Xiaomi.eu, regular weekly builds updated easily and latest Pie features..
The other point, after flashing my old Mi Max 2, it's call performance was never the same after flashing away from stock, with echo issues etc.
Just one more question, how is battery Performance of crDroid and do I need to flash any other kernels for better battery life?

There are no bugs like echo in calls etc. You don't have to flash extra kernel, all working perfect. Battery is as good as MIUI, for me and my apps better than MIUI! The most important thing for me to change to this ROM was my privacy!!! Read about MIUI-daemon etc....
Will give this a try next
Still haven't pulled the trigger.. but wanting to.
Okay, so the main page says wipe cache, system and data..
Are there any problems wiping the internal storage, to clean up any old rogue files and folders from previous xiaomi.eu and program installs?

Thanks. I see on xda that you try almost all roms and gsi for our p10 lite, which do you think is better. I've tried Havoc and Descendant but I can not connect my Miband or my Huawei whatcht GT. The Twrp that you use is 0.5 by pretoriano, right. Thanks for you help from Portugal.

Yes twrp 0.5 by pretoriano80 seems the most stable for us ( at least for me ) , but sorry about BT devices , I didn't tested , I haven't BT devices to test .
Anyway this RR seems the most stable ROM as fast charging works and mirror casting to tv also works unlike other roms
If @DarkJoker360 can make it official it will be great

Sorry for boring you., but can you explain me the process to decrypt data. Thanks for you help.
Installed TWRP from https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=76494505&postcount=22, wiped all data, Installed your ROM, Gapps pico and Magisk (latest), but when I boot in system i go (almost) directly to eRecovery.
Am I missing something?
Edit: nevermind, found it. Needed to reboot to TWRP after formatting, so I put here the steps to flash correctly if someone else has the same problem:
Reboot to TWRP.
Go to Wipe > run Format Data.
Reboot to TWRP again.
Wipe the following partitions: cache, data, dalivk and system.
Flash ROM
Flash your favorite GAPPS.

[/COLOR]I installed the rom and it works fine. The only problem I've detected so far is that I can not pair either Mi Band or the Huawei Watcht GT. I had tested GSI rom before and it also does not work. Other Bluetoth devices can pair. Anyone know if it's possible to do something, because in stock rom they pair well.

I updated to 3.3.1 in the process of trying to get the rom to install. I'll give your build of TWRP a try at some point.
Nice work by the way :good:. I've not tested extensively yet, but it boots up and appears to work without any obvious problems.
Dude, THANK YOU SO MUCH for this! I am so grateful
It works flawlessly and you gave life to my old phone.
BTW does anyone know any good Camera app? Or if you can enable Camera2Api in this device?
Thank you in advance
Just confirming..

Didn't test it. it may or may not work. u can test it and share the experience.
backup your data & apps just in case, using Migrate app, and do a clean fresh flash if it didn't work.

anyone flash MAGIK and XPOSED mods yet????
Just friggin loving this rom.... only issue I have had is occassionly it disconnects from WIFI and then take a long time to reconnect... other than that all works great.
for those wanting a better camera all the following work great
manual camera fx
open camera
camera zoom fx
rectrica
bandacam
DSLR camera
all with similar results and all pretty damn good.
possible second issue
if I add or change unlock pin code... RN2 just locks up... have to pull battery out, once rebooted code has been changed and can unlock phone fine after that... seems too be the initial action of adding or changing it that causes issue.
Hello, sir will you make DotOS v2.0 too For our Xiaomi Note 2?
my sim cards don't seem to work on this rom. i've had this issue before in RR 5.8.5 and the only way to fix it is just to reboot my phone and voila, it's fixed, but in this rom it can't even read my sim cards at all
edit :
sim 1 is working as of right now. i just had to wait for it to work though the signal cluster icons don't show that it does. sim 2 is still not working
i have successfully installed both magisk and xposed. they both work like a charm thus far. i'll let you know if there's anything going on

Bug reporting:
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
[*]Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
[*]If it is a random reboot, grab dmesg . (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
[*]If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
[*]Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.

Your steps don't make sense, the first install steps refer to crDroid when this is Derpfest, it also says to flash twrp via recovery when the default MIUI recovery does NOT have any option to do so or to flash any other zips (when in fact your link is of OrangeFox, that isn't TWRP) and both the "first time" and "update instructions" steps say to flash gapps when in bold letters above the link you say not to flash them.
clean up your post bruh, because these steps look like a copypaste ya took from a crDroid thread you grabbed

You may wish to update the "TWRP" link in your OP to point to the "miatoll" folder (instead of "curtana" - which will only lead to a dead link).
is there a version of your rom without GAPPS?
@bezke
Hi, master.
I have a joyeuse and unfortunately it doesn't flash.
I think it's bad access to /system.
No Android 11 works on my joyeuse here on xda and unfortunately there aren't many phones here.
I tried your Android 10 RR, which works like a charm.
But unfortunately I'm not lucky with Android 11. I think the problem is in the dynamic partition (/system_root, /vendor, /product). Twrp can't mount it.

which TWRP are you using?
i have installed the OrangeFox Recovery project and it works.
you must follow certain procedure and should be fine.
Not every Android 11 works for me but it is not due to access to the partitions (at least i believe)
i had problems with SimCards which were not recoginized.
at this moment i had installed the Legion Rom based on the Android 11.
works well, Magisk installed, Fdroid with all apps too.
Safetynet passed.
netflix runs w/o issues.
i followed this procedure:
1- install TWRP (Russian one exe file) and enter TWRP.
2 - click on Wipe, then on Format Data -> type "yes" (this will decrypt the phone)
3 - restart the phone to TWRP
4 - In TWRP, i installed the OrangeFox Recovery Project (Version 11 Alpha)
5 - Restart to System

btw, i tried:
- Carbon (there were some missing features) - https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-unofficial-11-0-carbonrom-cr-9-0-miatoll.4210823/
- Fluid (worked more than well) - https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...-fluid-1-1-for-miatoll.4212633/#post-84226211
- LegionOS - https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...rtana-excalibur-gram-joyuese-unified.4188403/
i had problems with:
- Pixel Experience (not recognized SimCards)
- LineageOS (crashing)
hope it helps you a bit.
@Seba_Poland
I tried these.
I didn't try OrangeFox because I think there is a problem with encryption, as Bezke wrote, if I understand it good..
twrp-3.4.0-14-curtana-unified-mauronofrio
PBRPMiatoll20201014
PBRP-miatoll-3.0.0-20201101-1929-BETA
TWRP-3.4.1B-joyeuse-fix.img
I'll probably try.
*I use magisk hide, magisk hide props and gpay fix, so the safety net works well for me. I do not use Netflix, I cannot confirm.

Try latest OrangeFox ( 30 December 2020 ), the "decryption issues with custom Android 11 ROMs" fixed, you can find here: https://orangefox.download/device/miatoll
I have experience with Orangefox recovery on my previous phone, is the best recovery for Redmi note 7, using now on my note 9pro too, DarthJabba9 is a great developer.

btw. i have same experience with RN7 and OrangeFox.
the only bottleneck is the backup restore. it took some time until i released how to proceed.

All right, guys!
So OrangeFox the only recovery with which I can flash Android 11 and the system will boot!
Other recoveries must have a problem on Joyeuse.
Thanks for the help!

Its recommended to install the new Firmware for android 11?
Hello. Why do some apps not work because I am supposedly root? I haven't done root, and I don't understand why.
Thanks for the amazing job, CRDroid is my favorite ROM since my Moto G5 Potter, now that I have a Ginkgo, I'm happy to continue with this ROM, there's just one thing that I miss, please could anyone tell me if there's an option to enable ringtone per sim card, in the potter build it was enabled by default. I don't mean to be rude or ungratefull, Just want to know if I just need to flash some module or something.

Fast charging does not work.
I flashed latest android 10 firmware. (Global V12.0.3.0, fw_ginkgo_miui_GINKGOGlobal_V12.0.3.0.QCOMIXM_265dab17e2_10.0.zip)
(Chinese beta firmware also does not work.)
No root, no magisk.
Looking at the other XDA threads, the Chinese ginko seems to be the problem. (My ginko is chineese ginko.)
Other android 11 ROMs also don't work with fast charging.
I think it's a kernel issue.
All other functions seem to be normal. Smooth, fast and stable.
Thanks, mg712702!
I was able to upgrade from CrDroid 6.12 without data wipe/format. No issues whatsoever, great work!

AFAIK, Chinese Ginkgo don't have a fast charging adapter out of the box, you need to buy that from outside
After update via OTA, system was unable to boot. I flashed previous ROM and it works now, but I'm wondering what was the problem? How to update to the newest version?
According to instruction:
Wipe system, vendor, cache, dalvik
Flash Rom, Gapps & Magisk (optional)
Reboot
It should work, but it doesn't.
Should I flash latest firmware first? If yes, why this step isn't included in the "update" instruction?
Beside this, big thanks for this ROM, it works flawless.
