If you are using the old unofficial Build make a clean flash and don't dirty flash.

Reboot into the latest version of TWRP (from here)
Make a NANDROID backup and copy it an external medium (laptop, flash drive, etc) just in case something goes wrong!
Wipe Dalvik/ART cache, system, data, and cache partitions (ANY LESS IS NOT A CLEAN FLASH!)

Visit HERMES (REDMI NOTE 2 / 2 PRO) - OFFICIAL GROUP and post your issue with the HASTEBIN link of your bug.

I updated to 3.3.1 in the process of trying to get the rom to install. I'll give your build of TWRP a try at some point.

Didn't test it. it may or may not work. u can test it and share the experience.
backup your data & apps just in case, using Migrate app, and do a clean fresh flash if it didn't work.

Ok so dirty flash was a huge fail for me so did a clean flash and EVERYTHING works great in fact it feels like a brand new phone.. DAMN it's great again... Having used LineageOS 14 and being hugely disappointed by it this rom is a MASSIVE BREATH OF FRESH AIR.. And has actually made my RN2 USEFUL again.... Thank you for your excellent hardwork...

Just friggin loving this rom.... only issue I have had is occassionly it disconnects from WIFI and then take a long time to reconnect... other than that all works great.

possible second issue
if I add or change unlock pin code... RN2 just locks up... have to pull battery out, once rebooted code has been changed and can unlock phone fine after that... seems too be the initial action of adding or changing it that causes issue.

my sim cards don't seem to work on this rom. i've had this issue before in RR 5.8.5 and the only way to fix it is just to reboot my phone and voila, it's fixed, but in this rom it can't even read my sim cards at all
edit :
sim 1 is working as of right now. i just had to wait for it to work though the signal cluster icons don't show that it does. sim 2 is still not working
i have successfully installed both magisk and xposed. they both work like a charm thus far. i'll let you know if there's anything going on

Unfortunately no, at least not from me. It sounds like you have the wrong firmware. This isn't an issue with the ROM.

Actually rom boot but doesn´t recognize my Sim card and I think the touch doen´t responde for seconds

For me Magisk (17.2 Beta) flashed without a problem via TWRP.
Till now, everything is working without any problems for me.

Did you reboot after flashing the ROM and before flashing gapps? You have to flash both before your first boot.
Question. Does this ROM make our kiwi treble compatible? Or because of hardware restraints, no.

Thanks, but with devs like you, we won't need it anyway. I can live without that, as long as you guys make great ROMs.

Go to your router setting and check which wifi channel it is using. If it's 12 or 13 change it under 10 and see if it fix the problem.

Many thanks to mg712702 for putting this together - looks great!
A few notes:
-I was upgrading from Lineage OS and I needed to not just wipe /data but do a reformat to get it to boot - I was getting "please enter your android password" prompts on boot even after flashing. TWRP may seem to fail with the message "couldn't mount /data" but try rebooting and it may just have worked enough to boot.
-I originally flashed ROM + gapps and the camera worked fine. Without gapps the camera crashes. (as pointed out above)
- I tried to install Magisk - TWRP rebooted suddenly halfway through the install and now the ROM hangs on boot. Guess I am going to have to reflash.

Everything is working on my Z00T!
-Camera works on stock ay first boot but there are time that it crashes but reboot it fix it
-Video Recording also works even on pixelmaster
-Smooth af
-Customization all working
My only struggle with this is with magisk sometimes it disappears after boot.

I've tried dirty flashing over a few ROMs like Bootleggers, AEX Oreo, crDroid Oreo & LOS 16. Most times it works at first boot, sometimes they wouldn't work at all. Or it may even not work at first boot but after restarting it might... or after a couple of reboots. But generally in my experience if it manages to work on first boot (or first 2-3 rather), if I restart again the camera will not work anymore. Tried the LOS 16 method of clearing cache and all but to no avail. It's pretty unstable I would say (the camera I mean).

I had the same problem but I found I could install 17.3 and then I did a direct install of 18 from the manager. You might try this. Great ROM by the way. Thanks to the developer for keeping the ZOOT alive and up to date.

dirty flash didn't work for me so i flashed the rom cleanly. magisk and EdXposed work so well. the default wallpaper picker is limiting me from cropping an image the way i want to so i used wallpaper picker from GApps, battery life is as good as the oreo rom you just released recently. navigation bar menu wasn't found in the setting although i can search it and it shows where it is. currently running gravitybox and greenify on EdXposed and redmi note 2 tool to optimize my battery life. instagram still stutters every time a video and or a live feed is being played
update :
instagram stutter issue is not as bad as the one in the LOS 15.1, battery life is slightly worse than LOS 15.1's, substratum doesn't work as good as in the LOS 15.1

But there is a serious problem - it is impossible to connect to a hidden wifi access point. In advanced settings support for a hidden access point is on.
if make AP visible SSID then phone may connected, but if make AP hidden SSID then phone not see this AP and not connect even if AP name was saved!
WiFi Analyzer application installed on this phone shows hidden APs without SSID.
I had this problem and with lineage-15.1-20200422 firmware too.

Hi friend, is possible to fix it.
want to share my experience using this rom.
previously i was using miuipro so more or less i compare these 2 roms.
PROS:
1 pretty good battery life
2 better performance
3 it's lighter
4 better than lollipop
CONS:
1 it reboots randomly (more than 10 times in a day)
2 the sim cards sometimes not detected, when detected the signal have X mark sign
3 confusing settings menu for me
4 not support non-mainstream icon app in status bar
5 can't play media (music, YouTube) from BT speaker
after all really appreciate your work

it's still in beta so we may experience some bugs along the way. you might wanna try the more stable LOS 15.1 released by him as well last month. it has better battery life and it's easier to install magisk and xposed in that very rom. though i like how substratum works in this LOS 16, i still have better experience overall in LOS 15.1 as it's more stable and the only bug i encountered was some stuttering on instagram in both vanilla and modded app. i don't really use it though, so it's not a big of a deal for me

sorry i don't fully understand because i looked to development option>system webview there was only 1 option then i installed android system webview from play store so i switch to the new one and the problem was still there

Pls read 2nd post from dev, there's a fix by custom kernel.
Thank you so much for reviving my secondary phone.
I was searching and waiting for updates and now it is there! All problems with auto rebooting is easy to fix. Just flash kernel in thread bellow and ROM will run normally. I hope updates will rollout in future .

Gapps not included according to the description. A/B partitions is tuturial fo Xiaomi Mi A2, ignore this part.

I wiped and reboot back to recovery before trying to flash in twrp but no joy, possible to flash via twrp? (Joyeuse coming from pixel experience)

Only if you have a problem with sim signal.
I was watching crDroid PIE v5 videos and looks so juicy... a lot of stuffs of personalization, i was missing in lineage 16 beta the nav bar... i had to get it from build.prop.
I'm so tempted to flash this new work... thx @ibilux
when I connect the phone to charger or to a computer, the phone suddenly restarted... help
when installing the rom, it's look so well done. but when I installing the kernel, the installation didn't finish yet, twrp suddenly restart (I used twrp given by you above), the twrp always restart after I adding another zip files, either it the kernel, the modem, even openGAP too... please help. and the other thing about keep restarting, it happen when:
connecting phone to computer/charging
open 3rd party file manager (mi file manager/reading a big data files)

I FIXED my problem by installing the rom first then restart and do some android set-up. then restart the phone to recovery mode and then install other zip files (kernel, modem, etc.) and it's work.
BUT what happen now is the app (like google play store) is freeze easily.
Well, i've flashed this ROM, my advice is flash addonSU of last, cuz i was getting a sudden restart if flashed that after the ROM. In the beginning the ROM was a lil slow, but now is running fine
Some bugs on personalization:
- the blur effect on the theme section is buggy
- the smartbar transparency and custom icon scaling is not working
Pro:
- The personalization layer got a lot of good stuffs to test and try, i love the smartbar functions
- Good tiles options in the notification bar
Cons:
- My wifi connection drops are very hard with this... with lineage 16 and the custom kernel still exists this problem, although it was easily solvable, but in crDroid is so often that these drops happen, and sometimes a reboot is mandatory to solve it.
I will try this rom a bit more before I make the decision to change it, but the problem with wireless connectivity is getting serious for me.

I have been using LOS16 for a few months now, it's OK, but sometimes (not often) it freezes, and slows down.
So I don't want to change to this ROM necessarily...only if recommended.

You can build it from source for your device, it won't need much canges.

The difference is just some more customization.

open gapps. and also what I found here
youtube apps gave a same problem as LOS16 that you made before. but it became a bit better when you play the video (youtube) from web browser. video player is working fine here.

I don't use 'heavy' apps at all, and I didn't experience heat. As I wrote, there were just a few freezing (however I had to take out the battery to be able to get out from the freezing at all), and I can't really describe a specific program when it froze (maybe browsing in Chrome..)
Anyway, so far so good. Maybe I will give a shot to this rom..what can I lose?

Personally i think that chrome is becoming very heavy to this "oldie" devices... im browsing in crDroid with Opera Mini, and works pretty well, i recommend this change, but i think that the adblocker from opera is a lil buggy... but still is my choise
