few days ago, my friend was using my note 2 to look up something on the internet. when the screen came up asking if he wanted to use the internet or the popup browser and always or just this once, he chose internet and always. i was looking a way to reset those options, so i can choose if i want to use full screen browser or the popup browser. anyone know how to reset it back? thanks in advance
Go to settings ..applications.. Then whatever browser is set as default and tap clear default

hi im using an experia acros S which i resently bought, i need your help on the problem that i myself made..
i factory resetted my phone settings .. problem is i also checked erase usb storage not knowing that it would erase all the default info in my phone to make it worse i forgot to make a backup copy of the settings.
now whats happening is that i cannot modify any settings anymore.
for example i cant change message notification tones it just gives me a pop up screen saying " mesaging is not responding would you like to close it? wait or ok"
same goes with other settings like volume, or picture or walkaman.
when i checked astro folder file manager /mnt/sdcard all thats left are 5 folders and 2 txt icons "customized capability and default capabilitiy.
to make my long story short.. is there a way to reformate phone with all the default settings at the time phone was purchased??
You can update the phone again using PC companion. Back up personal things first ( phonebook, sms, apps..).

just got my note2 7105T the otherday, and noticed an annoying issue.
i have tried searching google but everything i try seems to relate to the popup browser.
when you move and add widgets, a msg pops up telling you how to edit and resize widgets etc.
is there a way to disable and remove this message?
seems to be no disable help option that i can find, and it is really starting to annoy me when placing and moving widgets
Try clearing data for touchwiz. Never had that.

Go to settings/application manager/touch the downloaded application that has annoying pop-up, then un-check the show notification, clear catch, then proceed to next annoying applications.
As the title states, I am unable to access my messaging app when I touch the icon. I can access it by going through my contacts and selecting the message option, but I'd like to be able to access it by simply touching the icon.
I'm not sure if the problem occured when I used the HTC one transfer tool from my old HTC one. What i did was switch from Tmobile to Verizon and I was told that it would take up to 72 hrs for messaging/internet/etc to function properly, but everything functions already. My problem is what I already mentioned above.
Anyone know what's going on?
Problem solved. I long pressed the message icon to remove it from my dock and then opened my apps and long pressed the message app icon and moved it back to the dock. All is fine (for) now!
I've received 7.0 update on my nexus 5x (no beta or other), installed and done a reset, i've two bugs: evry time i remove the voice assistant (i don't use it) the microphone icon on lockscreen disappears like i wanted, if i shutdown device that will reset even if in settings there's no voice assistant, removing telephone icon and changing again with microphone, next bug is the real impossibility to sync chrome with desktop one, i get no bookmarks or other, tryed manual sync etc, nothing, any suggest?
Edit: The weather widget can't be resized, only 3x1 even if 4x1 >>> 21/09 Solved with last update of news and weather app.
Edit 16/09: the sim menù that normally is in the app drawer appears and disappear on turn on/off device. (note: battery life is a bit better from one week use)

Don't know about voice assistant bug as I use it but Chrome syncs up just fine. I see all my bookmarks, history, and tabs. Maybe try logging out of Chrome on your desktop and logging back in. And maybe the same thing for your phone.

Ever since I updated to Android 7.0 I was unable to use file transfer or ADB. This has to do with my phone for sure. Not the drivers on my PC.
My Wifi drops and reconnects whenever I take the phone out of my pocket and open an app that uses data. My data usage has gone up significantly with the Wifi drops. Appears there's others having problems on google product forums with no workaround at this time.
Any help would be appreciated!

Chrome works for me but what weather widget are you talking about, I don't have any weather widget on my phone except for the New & Weather ones.

Yeah that widget from news & weather app, if i choose only weather on 4x1 one i'm not able to resize, also isn't 4x1 but 3x1

One of possible fixes I can think of is to open your wifi settings and look for "Keep WiFi on during sleep". If you had set it up correctly before update it shouldn't change but who knows.
If above doesn't help, I think the problem is located somewhere in system files but other than searching for it, I suggest you to do a full wipe and clean install

It appears 4x1 for me, just remember that the phones screen is 5x5 so even 4 can't fill it completely

I'm experiencing the same problem and I'm not the only one. Do a search on 'nougat wifi problem' and you'll get several hits. Unfortunately, no real solutions. Google advises a reset to factory settings, but that doesn't help everybody. They also tell to reset network settings. This does seem to help me, but when I start manually adding/saving networks and I hit 12, I will loose all visible networks and when I turn WiFi off and on, the device keeps on scanning for networks.
An "issue" (221056) was opened at code.google.com/p/android, but it's been more than 2 weeks and Google still hasn't resolved the situation...

Weather widget bug solved
I don't know if this is a bug or a feature but it actually annoys the hell out of me. While on the lockscreen, pulling down the notification shade (pulling down from the status bar) doesn't expose the quick toggle settings, instead it attempts to pull down the entire notification shade (if there are any notifications) or the quick settings panel. Cool. Whatever. Except the entire Notification Shade or Quick Settings panel comes down and then immediately retracts up. Swiping down from the status bar again results in the same behavior. I can do this over and over until I finally get angry and unlock the phone, even though all I wanted to do was turn off Bluetooth or something. So stupid.
