Any way to root the device without wiping the data?! - Samsung Galaxy A70 Questions & Answers

Hi guys,
New on root so bear with me.
I have a Samsung A70 Sm-A705FN that I want to root and if possible to install a customized room si that the battery and the performance will be much better than the stock room.
But... I don't want to lose my data and also I'm afraid that I might do something wrong and lose my device too (brick it or something).
Any guide please on how to do it and which custom room is better?! Thanks to whoever will respond to this.

ignore if u did it.
its easy to get ur answer if u just google it,cos many sites are offering that rooting info/stuff.
Check here on how to root your phone: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20033919&postcount=1
And don't be nervous … rooting feels like a big step the first time you have an android phone. But it's not. The longer you own the phone, the more you will learn and the more you will want to try out with it. There will be days when you will flash and completely set up about 10 different ROMs. There will be days when you will brick your phone. Those days are still rather far away for you.
No need to do anything before and after rooting. It's so small of a change that you will hardly even notice it.
Welcome to the forums, have fun and good luck with rooting!
Thanks very much to all for ur responses...
Yeah i referd XDA and rooting is easy but my request is what to do before we do root like backup or something and after rooting what the thing we shud to first like custom rom creations..something like that...

you dont have to create custom roms...............you just download and install the created roms by different devs....from the development.....and before rooting backup your current stock rom through CWM Recovery...........

is it possible to use CWM backup even phone is not rooted?
Sent from my GT-S5360 using XDA App
ofc it is, in recovery mode it doesn't matter if you are root or not.
And you don't have to so anything before and after rooting, it can easily be reverted and everything will stay the same.

Rooting-For new members here of XDA Galaxy Y Sub-Forums, Rooting is the Basic Mod we do on our Galaxy Y,Since we bought our Galaxy Y at Samsung stores so it comes with limitations to prevent messing up with your System-level files so the Root method is the answer so you will be the true master of your Galaxy Y.
Advantages &Disadvantages of Rooting
Advantages
-You're already the true master of your Galaxy Y.
-You can now use some Root apps from Play Store.
-You can modify now your Galaxy Y like Custom ROM's,Custom Boot Animations etc. that requires ROOT.
Disadvantages
-Your phone's warranty is already voided,It means that if you messed with your System files ,Then the phone manufacturer will reject your phone as it is rooted already,However you can UnRoot your phone if you have problems regarding the buttons etc.
-You can't use some of their Services that comes with your phone.
Just Google "How to Root Galaxy Y" then follow the directions so you can obtain now root access.
use search button and you will get information faster than waiting someone to answer. don't be lazy.
Ty for answer Sean De Jesus.. I heard for temporary root.. Is it exist? If I root phone, should I install custom rom or can only root? Would I got all settings like custom rom? What if something goes wrong? If they wont turn off or something..? I need more info..

Temporary Root will root your device but once you restarted or turned off your phone,Its gone. Its a good step for new phones to test if root is working fine on that device.
It depends on your mood or your knowledge about modding your Galaxy Y,If sonething goes wrong with your Custom ROM then flash back to your Stock ROM or if you have a backup called "Nandroid backup" you can restore it using Skin's CWM.
rooting is just made in order for you to be able to have admin privileges on your phone so that you can by-pass system restrictions
no need to worry, you can always unroot your phone
using the unroot.zip
ps: it's just piled down due to post like this, use the search button to find it
Pls search before posting..

Samsung Galaxy USA Tmobile S3.. root question

hello all. I've rooted my past phones, and used custom ROMS.
I'm wondering if it's possible to just root my S3, but keep the stock Rom on it? i think it's fast, and I'm quite happy with it!
I'd like to be able to remove some of the bloat programs, and be able to do backups via titanium.
Is this possible?
Would i be able to do samsung ROM updates with ease?
would this void my warranty?
Could someone guide me to the right guide to accomplish this task?
Thanks for your time, and assistance!

Of course you can root your phone and stay on the stock rom, that's where your at after every root! Just don't flash a rom, your not forced to. You will probably have to unroot to apply updates, but I think there's an app in the play store to temporarily unroot the phone, or disable super user & busy box? Your correct on using TB to remove bloat, and there's a thread somewhere in general about what's safe to remove, and it's also best to make a back up before you remove anything just in case. There are guides in the development section on how to root, or for a video tutorial go to galaxys3root.com. It's a site created by user zedomax where he makes videos on how to root & install custom roms/reviews that can be very helpful to less advanced users. I hope I've helped, and if you have any questions, issues, or are just looking for an opinion on something feel free to PM me and if I can't help you I'll point you to someone that can! Best of luck, and be careful!

Confused about rooting

Hi Folks, I got my N7105 a couple a days ago, and would like to root it, I dit that stuff before whit my I9000, flashed several custom roms
and never had any issues. Now, they more I read about rooting my new divice, they more confused I get,
I just want to root so I can use Titanium Bakup and other apps, I wont flash some custom rom's just yet, in case there is a hardware problem
and I have to use the warranty, and there is nowhere a stock rom for my carrier, Testra Australia, to find.
So, that is what I intend to do: root by using this methode: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1955423 using opion 2,
maby later install this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2028103
I know there is always a risk in doing stuff like this, but do I have to fear that my IEMI could get lost or somthing like that ?
Is it possible to make IMEI backup befor rooting ?
Thanks
sorry for my bad english...
Sv: Confused about rooting
Wrong forum.
Anyway... Use part two, then before flashing anything else http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1946915 This is the only way for our phones to do a efs backup.

if youre not comfortable yet on rooting your phone then stick with stock first. this is the common reason why people are having bigtime problems with their phones when they do root and not that comfortable at it..
Thanks for your advise, I feel more comfortable... I know there is a wery low risk in rooting.. but you never know...
I will give it a go....

[Q] Root or No?

Hey everyone, just wondering how many of you out there are planning on rooting their HTC One M9 - Adam
I will be but will keep it stock to see what HTC does with updates.
All my phones get the root & ROM trearement at some point.
Or I may just may keep it stock, that will be a first though.
I won't root mine. Like the M8, most apps that I have no need for can be disabled through the app manager. The only benefit of rooting my phone would be to be able to use Titanium Backup, but I've learned to live without it... Since I keep installed apps to a minimum, stock is all I need....
Definitly yes.. I think without root AND s-off you don't really own your device [emoji6] that's just my statement [emoji106]
Any Android phone in my hands will be rooted/s-off and custom rom/kernel with tweaks within the hour of getting it, no hesitation..
It's the sole reason i pick Android over IOS

Thats my idea too, rooted right away last weekend got it on saturday and sunday i got root.
ViperOne is my favorite for a long time (htc sensantion)
I'm on the fence. The only reason I can see right now for rooting, is having multiple user accounts, and battery / performance tweaks.
As for the first I can live without that. The second one, right now I do not believe is possible. It'll only be possible to improve battery by limiting the power of the phone which is a shame.
If we root the device, will it still get software upgrades to the stock (now rooted) rom?
If so, Is there anything that cant be done when rooted that would not allow this to work? (ie, maybe removing a stock app, or disabling an app that the system (non rooted) wont let you disable, having custom recovery)?
Let me know thanks!
Not sure yet. There are updates that will come to fix certain aspects of the phone.
No xposed framework which is one of the main reasons I root.
Also if I unlock the bootloader it will delete all my data, and I'm too lazy to re-install everything on my phone all over again.
hmm. Is the bootloader locked on the "unlocked" version? I already set up my wifes phone last night after a few hours of getting it all setup (the way i like it ) i wouldnt want to have to start all over again

Rooting doesn't improve anything. It allows you to access the system root (ie c:/windows/) which on android is locked away from users.
If you are going to root, it is only really worth it if you plan to s-off (security off) which allows you to run unsigned code, gives better leaway on recovering a borked device and gives read/write access to all partitions on the device.
