Yep, as an initial android 11 build. There are minor bugs (occasional). Which may not affect daily usage. But soon will be fixed by time.

All these roms work jn Chinese edition.
Twrp :
Advance wipe - Everything except internal storage and UTB otg
Flash the rom
Try rebooting
If it doesn't boot up
Then format data
Done
Okay I tried to install it, I made a backup before wiping. I wiped System, Data, Cache, Dalvik, vendor, flashed the rom, then the gapps. When I reboot it goes back to the recovery. How to solve?
At least with the backup I'm safe.
Also the stock recovery keeps overwriting the twrp even if I flashed the vbmeta

Whenever you stuck in recovery loop. You need to format data ! Switching from Android 10 to Android 11 or vice versa needs formatting of data. Also nikgapps basic version didn't include Android setup.

It shouldn't be an issue
But I personally always do a format data and the steps as i provided in OP. Even though it's not necessary just to avoid any issues.
Pardon my nitpicking, but where's the source? Neither of the supplied source links contain sources specific to chiron or even Xiaomi msm8998. Thought it's compulsory to at least make available the kernel part.

Thanks for noticing Andy. Bauuuuu is building the rom and i've just made the ROM available on XDA, we are still in testing phase.
I've asked him the links for the sources so I can add them to the OP.
Im on ABC ROM now, gonna make twrp backup and try this one. Fingers crossed!

Yeah you are not the only with animation issues, so it's definitely not an issue with your device.
I've reported this to bauuu (dotOS dev)
Please note that we are still in testing phase so issues like these might occur.
Can I add the app to stretch the entire screen similar omni？
Unfortunately Bauuu stopped developing for DotOS so we will not see any updates to this ROM

All the roms are having this issue at some point.
A temporary fix is flash sysconfig patcher magisk module.

For Mi A1, franko kernel is released recently when A2 is near to be released.
Also excluding Nexus and the Xiaomi Note series .. Franko has not yet worked on any other device.
Considering this points, I do not see Franko to be working on Zenfone ( IMHO ).

You will not lose the ROM, but you might lose gapps.
Boot the ROM after formatting to make sure it can even boot, but also so that it can encrypt the storage in its own preferred way, then reboot to recovery, and flash gapps.

In last build , when updating with dirty flash Fingerprint not working.
I made a fresh install and the fingerprint option not appear in install process. Only PIN acept.
Please do OTA updates if possible.

Hi, vibration doesn't work on my device too. I've checked it on logcat. (Not sure if post it here or else)
It seems that the rom has been discontinued for the Mix 2, but DotOS has released a GSI version. does anyone know if it is possible to update this rom directly by patching the new GSI version?
I have never used GSI roms and am very hesitant.
Installed v5.0.1 from official site, vibration does not work, everything else works fine
I confirm that it is possible to upgrade to DotOS 5.1 using the GSI image, but unfortunately I have not been able to get the camera working.
I'm moving to LineageOS 18.1 for the stability, but it's amazing how nice and good DotOS is. I hope in the future the developer will continue to support the Mix 2.
