Yes, it's possible. Just flash through ODIN. And after flash, reboot into stock recovery and wipe data or else you will get a bootloop.

You have to do local update. Online update not available yet.
Download the firmware. In it there is a "update" file. Put that file into your sd card under the folder "dload". Then go to settings and local update.

What bootloader is loaded onto your phone? Are you running the latest CWM or TWRP?

bootloader I747UCALH9
CWM 6.0.4.5
Looks like the ROM does not support your phone's current bootloader. Was you phone running stock 4.04?

I did go back to stock then re-rooted and installed the ROM I have now. Should I install another bootloader? What and which do you suggest?

Have you ever had a stock 4.3 ROM on your phone? If you did, you cannot flash any bootloader that is older than your current bootloader.
What was the last official ROM you had on your phone?

It's been updated all the way to 4.3 but it sounds like you never ran an OTA update for 4.3.
An easy way to update the bootloader is to install a pre-rooted stock AT&T 4.1.1 ROM from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1739426.
You should also make sure you're running the latest custom recovery. I recommend the tar version of Philz Touch located here and flashable via Odin: http://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_Advanced_Edition/d2att
I use Philz on my i747m.

all he has to do is change the updater script to remove the asserts in the updater script. if he downgrades from 4.3 he will brick even if it was OTA or the leak. if you try to downgrade you will brick

I understand but the OP doesn't appear to be on a 4.3 bootloader so flashing a pre-rooted 4.1.1 AT&T ROM via Odin should be fine.

I'm looking for the official OPP28-85-13-2 OTA, I need the zip to update to that version officially
I'm looking for it because it solves the low sound problems and the October security patch:crying:
Sorry that I answer so late, when I was searching for ways to update to Oreo I found this post:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5/how-to/cedric-ota-archive-t3795275
It's a collection of ota files, it also describes the order how to flash them.
The otas and the list for that are here
https://drive.google.com/drive/mobile/folders/1BkpfHvgQ477NViLYvzgv88Fgq3SSt5Py?usp=sharing
Edit: I'm currently on OPP28.85-16 but I don't know if you will find the otas for this, but I flashed firmware directly, guess when you don't want to reinstall your phone this is not an option?

Why should that? When you flash stock oreo firmware and it comes an update you can just install it like a normal ota in settings

I do not know what it means, I think it has to do with the companies that distribute the firmware in the different update channels or region
dual sim or single sim I suppose
