Android 10 ROMs are Stable.
Android 11 is in the Beta/Alpha.
For Android 10, there are many good and popular ROMs like Ressurection Remix (RR), MSMXtended, CrDroid, ColtOS, Panandroid Quatrz, etc.
RR and MSMXtended are highly customisable. They along with CrDroid, Colt OS have many more features than MIUI. The Macro lens is buggy in many ROMs. No other problems other than that. They are stable enough for daily use. I now use CrDroid. Battery Performace is Ok. Camera, 48MP, UW, everything works except Macro Lens.
Android 11 is not stable. While some can adjust for daily use. If you want stable Android 11, you can wait, as many of the ROMs above have stopped Android 10 development and going to release Android 11.

Hi guys
I would like to know you guys there opinion about Resurrection Remix ROM, OxygenOS Open Beta 9 & CM 14.
I can't chose which one to flash, and if I want to test them all it would take a long time.
So about your opinion, which of these roms would you guys suggest me the most?
Which is better in which department over the other?
It would help a lot if you guys helped me out
Thanks
I'd like the same please. I know it's all opinions, and indeed there's variants of RR, CM, OOS, etc, however as a Cm14 user when CM is shutting nightlies down and there's no clear path for this or lineage os yet, thoughts would be appreciated
I've been using open beta 9 for a week now, and, ignoring few nitpicks, it's the most stable nougat ROM available as of right now. I've flashed CM 14.1 and it's great, but my biggest reason for not considering this (or any other rom in this case) is camera. It's not bad, it's just that, it's not as good as Oxygen OS's. Apart from that, it's solid. I don't know anything about resurrection remix though, would love to hear.
Try them yourself and see
RR vs Nougat Betas
I have tried Nougat beta 9 and RR 5.8 myself. For me My favorite and best is RR rom. It's pretty much stable, feature rich and above all blazing fast. but, however there's only 2 negative things bothers me. fingerprint capacitive button and camera experience. OP3 failed to read fingerprint many times. but for the performance and fluid experience RR is the best.
Nougat betas are all overall the best. Obviously best camera and fingerprint experience. apart from that laggy and battery drainy system is very annoying.
I'm currently on Nougat beta, waiting for a OOS camera port to CM base roms.
Hey guys
I previously owned a Redmi Note 3 and flashed so many roms on that phone.
Now i just got a Redmi Note 5 Pro. Unlocked it. But currently I am very busy with assignments and don't have a lot of time.
So i can't keep flashing rom every few days.
Please recommend me a good Oreo rom. It should ideally not lag and have no random reboots. Basically I just want to flash and forget for a few months until Pie roms get very stable.
Thanks to all for their help.

Go for RR it's best so far in my opinion. Good bb ,no lags,no encryption ghost and of course edge gestures work really smooth on this rom.

Lineage OS 15.1 will be the best choice. Most stable & best battery life & no lag at all. Always go for lineage os official rom over others.

Bro listen! Lineage os is most widely used custom rom in the world. Your device has official lineage os 15.1. So you should flash it & see if you're happy with it. Only customizations not present in los. After that you can try any other rom you want.

"Bro listen" - This does not sound like suggestion, rather like a command. What is good for you does not really mean that it will be for someone else. For example, on devices I have used, RN5 included, pure AOSP roms performed better than Cyanogenmod/LineageOS ones. They have been smoother and better in battery life.
Just because something is official it doesn't translate to a better than everything else, MIUI is an official rom from Xiaomi yet some releases were a bug fest.
I've tried LOS/RR and than jumped to AOSiP Oreo, that's close to pure AOSP but with additional useful features and it has been more stable, smoother and more battery friendly than LOS/RR and overall performance was consistent. In combination with Insigniux/Derp kernel it's great.
I've seen reports of MSM as great one as well, so that can be considered as well.
Anyway you'll have to try different rom and kernel combinations to see what works for you.

Exactly.
Although I can understand why some newer members are just dazzled by the "official" tag especially in context of LOS.
I especially dislike LOS because of lack of so many useful features. Why should I need to use xposed and 10 modules to get those features when I have root and recovery and I can simply flash a feature rich aosp rom.

Ok. I apologise if i gave someone wrong suggestion. But i was telling from my experience as for me los official always works great with no single bug till now. What i've seen is people sometimes complain a lot about problems in other new roms. So i was saying in that way. Thanks for your suggestion. I'll flash aosip with derp kernel.
One question tho. I want an oreo rom with battery life similar to miui 9.6. can you suggest me that rom? Miui 9.6 is giving me 12 hrs & 13 minutes of screen on time. Thanks in advance.

No need to apologise to me, since your post wasn't directed to me. You didn't suggest anything wrong, but the way you suggested it was a bit wrong. Anyway, AOSiP is a clean rom with good features and a default Derp kernel is great for battery life, I have had up to 14h of SOT (that depends on usage of course) but as far as I remember it was never below 10h.

Neither one, it has Snap cam as default. You can additionally use whichever you want.
I ordered the note 5 pro and it should arrive in 2 weeks. I'm looking for a rom that is very stable and has everything working, I don't like to flash the latest weekly nightly to fix stuff. Should I stay on miui or flash a stock ROM? Is gcamera worth it?

If you want to get best out this device stay with MIUI os, because Xiaomi is known for it's best Software Updates.
And there are few Threads on this great forum, where you can get info about flashing GCAM without rooting the device.
Pixel extended or arrow os pie ROMs are very good as a daily driver, arrow is updated weekly or a couple days later.
I like resurrection remix for Oreo 8.1 ROMs. Havoc isn't too bad either. Lineage 15.1 is too.
On arrow, rebirth kernel nets me 135k+ on AnTuTu, noname kernel around 128k and twisted kernel 118k+. Runs darkness rising smoothly. I don't play pubg, so no idea on that. I can get around 7 hours of gaming time on a full charge, mixed with standard browsing, Facebook, music etc.
Edit: arrow has MIUI Cam and gcam.

So, there's plenty of ROM options available to us currently. I've been hesitating massively on trying any of them due to being a bit burned by previous experiences with some not so great ROMs on other phones I've had previously. So tell me, in your opinion, what's the best ROM available right now? I'm looking for things that have the good battery life, a mostly lag-free experience, the less bugs the better, etc. The best overall ROM in general, basically. If you're using a custom kernal too instead of stock or the one that comes with the ROM, please mention it in a reply along with what you voted for.
Thanks!
I currently use POSP v3.1+8. This ROM is great if you want a proper taste of Android Q. I am using the stock kernel that comes with the ROM and opengapps pico package. I've never had any problems so far, but that's mainly because I don't use social media apps like Instagram. The software has its bugs and the battery life isn't great yet, but the Dev is working diligently to squish the bugs and that's what makes it for me. Best battery life and stability you can have is on Stock right now, especially if you debloat the ROM using shell, battery life is superb. I just can't stand Pie's ugly interface. MIUI ROM is sooo amazing, except for some little performance issues, especially on recents screen. MIUI ROM effectively transforms your Mi A2 Lite into a Redmi 6 Pro. But I've had a lot of privacy concerns over it. ROM's not open-source and Google + Xiaomi apps come preinstalled. If you respect your privacy MIUI is not the ROM for you. Pixel Experience on the other hand was a total mess. A lot of bugs + bad battery life. I haven't tried the other ROMs mentioned, but Stock Oreo is the way, if you want amazing stability, proper Gcam + incredible battery life. I literally could not drain the battery on Oreo. If you like the UI of them, stock ROMs are the way to go for stability. I'm using POSP because I just want the new features that Xiaomi should've provided us a loooong time ago.

Lineage OS seems death on Mi A2 Lite, yea I'm found builds but not updated too long.. idk why, Lineage OS it's one from best
I'm currently using this rom, in my opinion the best rom, even if without updates maybe I'll switch back to POSP later, but the battery consumption (idle) has to get even better.

Heyo Lacia here!
Do you have telegram by any chance since i released some stuff on there for POSP and if you want to use POSP i heavily recommend flashing the chunchunmaru!_r3.1 kernel too. Too improve SOT and Idle drain and fix some smaller bugs like DT2W and Data usage not working

Theres no 100% stable rom. I mean atm all of them have some minor bugs and gcam often freeze and reboot the phone. At least this was my experience with roms and gcam... Every time I try roms I just get fed up with (mostly gcam being slow and buggy) so I'm going back to stock after a couple of weeks.
Anyways try posp with the recommended kernel. Also you can find gcam at the themes forum here on xda.

Thanks. I'm reading a lot of bad reports about the Android 10 stock rom, is this true? ?Maybe is better I continue in 9?
And at last, we didn't really have a stable GCAM? This is like a punch in the face for me

Don't expect a stable build of 10 from Xiaomi soon. We had a Gcam configured for A2 Lite by hass31 but it doesn't work properly on stock Pie and it will NOT work on 10. Other than that I'm currently using the gcam in the apps and themes forum with the provided xml. It works wonders but video doesn't work. I've noticed that video recording on stock vs gcam doesn't make much of a difference.
Try HybridOS but high battery drain is still issue
Been trying to figure this out for a while now. I want a ROM with comparable performance, features, and battery life to that of OOS.

Best is subjective because everyone has a different taste. the best thing is if you look at the roms that are available for the 9p yourself and test them
I've tried quite a few times, and am currently on Nameless A13. A lot of features from OOS haven't been ported just yet, but A12 Nameless had quite a few things there. Don't know if you'll ever get a full OOS experience on any of the custom roms.
As far as performance and battery life, Nameless has been the best. Far better than OOS 12 or 13. Customization varies between roms with CRDroid seeming to have the most customizations. I just prefer Nameless because it seems the most close to stock it terms of interface, without all the bloat. It's all preference though. If you want stability, A12 roms are probably your answer for now until the 13 roms catch up. But if you want the latest and greatest, you could try a 13 custom rom.
In my opinion, better A12.1 is ancient os and better A13 tequila os.

Tequila is great! I just prefer Nameless because of the default OP camera and seems to have more support and updates
Oc....nameless is great, but battery Life is worst than tequila to me.
Oss cam are great but with gcam and a good config file i take better pics than oss cam.
I was on CrDroid since I bought phone in summer. After trying OOS13 beta I went back to CrDroid but I had issues with fingerprint since then. Whenever I needed it I had to restart phone to get it work.
Now I am on Nameless since A13 and I can recommend it. No issues with it whatsoever.

I'm currently on latest Nameless 12, & sticking on it for a while.
it got the best of pixel features, while retaining oneplus specific features that we love.
Tried Nameless 13 when it was released, but downgrade cuz A13 still a bit buggy.
