I wasn't looking but found myself in the Samsung store yesterday.
I ended up buying the S7 and keyboard case.
Managed to get 10% discount and half price keyboard case. (£640 all in)
The S7+ just seemed too big, heavy and not a £200 upgrade over the S7.
Coming from the S5e I'm missing the Amoled screen. My eyes are also looking at blacks and noticing thry are grey
However I'm loving the 865+ processor, S Pen and Dex with Keyboard.
Anyone else gone down the S7 route?

I too purchased the S7, I previously had the S6 and miss the Amoled screen also but I got a great price on it and considering I sold the S6 keyboard that I never used, I basically got the S7 for free when you add in the trade in, discounts, coupons, and selling the keyboard I got the S7 and bookcover for basically free
I got the keyboard as at the time half price sounded a good deal. However at £95 I still wouldn't rate it as value.
Love the back but the front is just too bulky for everyday use. Looking at the bookcover or a good quality alternative

Got the tab s7 too. The s 7t is just too big for me tbh. I don't mind the display. it's the best Lcd display I've ever seen.
That 's good enough for me.

I have an S5e and the s7. Yes, I miss the inky blacks, but the s5e also had splotchy greys. There was also a weird spot in the screen (whether original or caused by burn in) that would look splothchy when displaying greys at <20% brightness (basically any time I opened a new tab in chrome). You could be looking at greys and seeing purple.
I think it was a mistake that you buyed the normal S7... on spec site there is almost no noticeable or worthy upgrade from the S6..
But the LCD is a big downgrade from the S6.
The S7+ is a big tablet.. but it's thin like the S6. The normal S7 is thicker.
I bought the S7+ because I wanted a larger tablet. Otherwise I would have stuck with my S6.
It is heavy but it works for me.
I originally purchased the s7 and the keyboard case, but after watching many videos comparing the 2 and talking about how different the screens are I returned then s7 and keyboard for the 7+, the keyboard case was nice but definitely not worth the price even at 50% off. I figured if I'm going to spend that much money on a tablet I might as well get the best 1 possible and I had a 10% off coupon

Samsung won't accept opened units for return / exchange in store?
After a few more days with my S7 I'm beginning to favour its natural colors over my S5e. Only minor gripe is slight red tiny in corners on minimum brightness.

Not sure but mine was from best buy, didn't have any problems exchanging it
went for the + model as the screen was an important part of my purchase , it was worth the extra if you use dex
So I ended up returning the s7 and getting the s7+ it′s the borders that did me in. I like to watch movies in the dark before going to bed and the dark gray borders from the LCD display prevented me to become fully immersed and I just kept seeing them. Now that I have the plus I can say that apps behave better. For instance FB Marketplace online works in portrait instead of acting weird in landscape mode. The only downside is that the fingerprint scanner on the power button was way better than the in display fingerprint scanner.

Because no one likes screen protectors ?!?
Frankly spoken I'm not willing to pay for a high quality screen with digitizer and laminated screen, if I destroy all benefits with a screen protector.
Than I could have been going with a far cheaper device and less quality screen.
Btw: I did not have a screen protector on my old tablet from 2014 (ok - no laminated screen...). But: still no scratches up to now. A tablet is not a phone you always carry around in your trouser pockets - the latter is the most common source for scratches, as within the pockets you find sand, dust, etc.
The only situation I would be careful about with a tablet is to put it into a bag. For this I used a simple felt cover. Of course, this should be clean inside ...

This is exactly what I did with the Tab S6. I just got my Tempered Glass Screen protector(Pack of 2 for 15 dollars), I want the back part of the keyboard cover, but the the price Samsung wants is insane.
Snagged one today there's still an active deal below link if anyone's interested in buying one ?
I was able to grab the S7+, 256GB for $582.61 before taxes shipping included.

Hi folks. I have sold my Galaxy s2 more from an eager impulse to upgrade, and I have been rolling without a phone now because I couldn't simply decide which to get. At some point I even regret I have sold the s2 which was perfectly fine. But now since I did it I said at least to make a substantial upgrade. I have a micro sim with unlimited data until next year in may so I won't upgrade until then, even more, I would like to keep it longer than that.
I narrowed my choices to
S3 (used grade B - 260£),
Nexus 4 (new with 1 year warranty - 288£)
and Note 2 (used grade C - 305£, or 320£ grade B)
the used phones come with 60 days warranty only, no box or other accesories except USB cable (basically phones from recycling websites, so in good condition)
I think I took out s3 out of the list now..because for 20£ more you can get new N4
so it's between n4 and n2
I don't mind about the storage but it is a + obviously
I like to have good battery (when travelling or using google maps I don't want to get in trouble, though there are those mobile chargers available)
I used the n2 in the shop and I could control 85% of the touchscreen with one hand.
I like being able to read kindle, kobo ebooks on the phone, and having a swiss knife like n2 is
I like music and podcasts.
I am worried about N4: back of glass, god knows how many times I dropped s2 or bumped it., although I think aftermarket backcover will be available or could stick a dbrand skin
battery,
battery: from what I've red it looks like it's average, although pretty sure it's better than my used s2
Worried about N2
only 60 days warranty
price is higher, even if used condition (grade C might have scratches and scuffs but I heard very good reviews and it generally goes one class better)
worried about size, is it more fragile because the size? can I use it while running listening to music?
It really is a though call...but I need a phone, thought to rebuy a s2 or a htc one s/x (used of course) but considering I will be using this for more than a year with full blown unlimited internet, I might as well make a significant upgrade...
Which one should I get?
I was luck to use a Galaxy Nexus 4 and then move on to the SGN II
The Note is great doesn't take long to get used to the size.
Downside to the Nexus as I see it... Not as much support/custom roms etc
The Nexus is limited IMO - no external storage, no removable battery. 16GB fills up really quickly and streaming isn't always an option (think big games and satnav)
So other than the obvious tech spec differences for me the Note was the way forward.

thanks for your input
What most worries me is the warranty. Although I did not have any problem with s2 that would require RMA or servicing, is the N2 a sturdy device that doesn't develop faults along the way?

Choose Samsung Galaxy Note 2 because it has:
1. Great battery
2. Large/Amazing screen (reading books through Kindle or Kobo is just fantastic )
3. Removable battery
4. Micro SD slot
5. Project Butter (everything goes very smooth, no lag)
Plus, s-pen, good camera.

I've had 2 note 2's and haven't had a single issue in the months since owning.
I own both a note 2 & a nexus 4, I much prefer the note 2 and use it 95% of the time. It is a brilliant all rounder & don't think any other phone on the market presently beats it for looks or overall performance, IMO.
Get the note 2 you won't regret it at all

I will copy paste here...They are from recycle companies that buy mobiles, it is a bit risky but considering the phone has been on the market for only 4 months a grade c might be in reality grade b. There is also free returns 7 days policy.
What does Grade A mean?
• The phone is used but in excellent condition.
• Cosmetically the phone will show no signs of use, there will be no scratches,
cracks or scuffs to the screen or casing.
• It’s been fully tested*, is in full working order and has been restored to the latest operating system.
What does Grade B mean?
• The phone is used and in good condition.
• Cosmetically the phone will show signs of slight use, including two or three minor scratches to the screen and casing. It wont have cracks on the screen or casing.
• It’s been fully tested*, is in full working order and has been restored to the latest operating system.
What does Grade C mean?
• The phone is used and in average condition.
• Cosmetically the phone will show signs of use, including some scratches and
scuffs to the screen and casing. It wont have cracks on the screen or casing.
• It’s been fully tested*, is in full working order and has been restored to the latest operating system.
Ah in that case I'd settle for the Nexus 4 if i were you., the Note 2 is a great device with much more functionality but reality is there is nothing like getting a phone right out of the box Atleast in my case and that alone would be my deciding factor besides the fact that it uses pure android which Is a plus for me too.
I've had a lot of bad experiences with used phones in the past and since then I've always opted for brand new. However, if you do decide to get the Note2 then I can add that incase the housing is pretty bad, since you've mentioned it's a grade c, then you can easily replace the housing for as cheap as 10bucks from www.cnn.cn. Their products are of high quality standard and very cheap.

Tough one really. It keeps bouncing in my head on and off... I know I can't buy anything better than these with 300£, it is basically a real upgrade mid contract with just a small cost. I also want to use it for more than one year this time.

Hi
You should take a look at Panamoz.com.
They specialise in camera lenses but offer really good prices on phones which are imported from Honk Kong and with 1 year warranty. You can get a new LTE S3 for just a bit more than a Nexus, etc.
I know people who have used the site and they all recommend it.
Okay disregard that.
It seems to have jumped up over £200!
Must have been a long discount they had over the holiday period when I last checked.
Note 2:
+/-big screen
+more storage
+bigger battery (but also higher energy consumption through display)
+SPEN extremly useful in combination with FreeNote at University | AND try out Swype, swiping is perfect for SPEN
Nexus 4:
+newest firmware
+feels noble/high quality (unibody and glass front + back)
+more custom ROMs
-storage
I would prefer the NII mainly beacause of the big screen with AMOLED technology. I tested both devices and felt in love with the NII.

THE Note 2 came yesterday. Unfortunately it is mint on the case, but has 3 scratched, visible with the screen off, visible on white background, one 1 inch long, and 2 small, and then there are 4 more small scratches, the ones that I don't mind....quite a good condition for a grade C, I would say others would sell this as very good condition.
I think I will try to exchange it with a C or chuck 15£ more for a B; Or shouldn't I? If i put a screen protector will it make me forget about those? Does a scratched screen weaken the gorilla glass 2?
Bad about it is that the back panel creacks and flexes making sounds.
Oh..and the titanium color is beautiful.
It is true how everybody said, at first I was shocked about the size of it, and felt intimadet a bit. I am quite tall, 6.3. my hands are regular size but I have very thin fingers, but after one day I am sold, I was ready to run for a s3 or n4 because of the size, but now it doesn't feel like that anymore. The money are well spent I think, could keep this for 2 years no doubt, only badpart is I need to buy an mp3 player for running.
Battery is a WOW factor, 20h 22m on battery (8 hours from the night losing 1%/hour) screen time 4h 39m and still got 29% left. A 1hour movie episode on bbc iplayer (wifi stream) took 9% of the battery!

Yea just get a good quality anti glare screen protector and it should hide the scratches well. I hope.you get to enjoy it the way it's meant to be.

hmm I don't see the competition here.
The ONLY reason you would choose N4 over Note 2 is you can't handle the screen size.
Like you want one hand operation at all time or you put your phone in your pants pocket but your pants are all has incredibly small pockets.
This is the only reason I can think of people would choose N4 over Note 2.
Other than this, I think Note 2 superior to N4 on every aspect.

......and the price
Hi,
I know most data points to an edge display only, but there has been two sets of prototype pics of dev models with flat screen plus the leaked iris scan video was flat. So 3 pieces of data.
Are we doomed or maybe a flat model a few weeks later?
P.s why don't they realease an S8 plus edition, nice large screen but no s-pen,,? The pen doesn't interest me and the note 7 doesn't if it's curved
I need that big display thought too! So regular S series not for me sadly ?
Thoughts?
Pretty much doomed. Flat Note 7 is just on hand as a design in case the curved one has terrible sales from what I can tell, which will be very very unlikely.
There's rumors going around that the S8 will have a 5.5" UHD screen but everything's just rumors at this point ...
Make sure you actually get the Note 7 with the curve in your hands before you dismiss it though. I thought I'd hate the curve but it's not nearly as unusable as I'd imagined, and many of the cases out there mitigate curve damage nicely while keeping your fingers off it accidentally (ex. Caseology Wavelength).

I use glass screen protectors, so a curved screen does not appeal at all.
5.5 inch is a little small but perhaps I'll consider it.

I'd take a stroll through http://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/accessories/curved-tempered-glass-screen-protector-t3320688 and see what you can find if absolutely necessary to have a glass protector on a curved screen. Unfortunately it's a very long thread and not much have had success, but maybe a brand will stick out that we can watch from the Note 7 side of things.
Thanks, it's not worth all the trouble and worry though, I just won't reward them with my money sadly.
I still hold some small hope they remedy this mistake, but Samsung have a habit of being stubborn about doing stupid things for a generation (battery size, microSD) by the time they fix the flat screen, they'll do something else annoying. Like removing the physical home button (#1 reason I buy their phones)
According to my mobile services provider, none.
So if it appears to be the case what is our next option as Note lovers to the next best thing?
There is no flat model.

I have owned the s7 edge, s6 edge, note edge, note 5 and let me tell you it's not that big of a deal. Yes I prefer the flat screen model because glare in the sun sucks in the s7 edge. However in doors you learn to love the edge sexiness. Also writing with the spen won't be a big change
I have had the Note 3, Note 4, Note 5, and briefly the S7 Edge. The reason I returned the Edge was because of the locked boot loader and at that time, I didn't want that. The phone itself was very nice and I liked the Edge screen for the most part. It felt a bit gimmicky but some of the Edge panel features are nice. I didn't really have an issue with the Edge screen as far as holding the phone or touching the sides by mistake. The issue I had which I think was addressed later was miss taps while scrolling. The thing was constantly launching things while I was scrolling which drove me nuts.
If there was a choice between a flat or edge model, I am not sure at this point which I would choose but I would lean towards getting the edge model.
Android authority has a new leaked video....the screen IS FLAT!!!
note 7 flat screen video
https://youtu.be/E9Xw2O_eyRU
Apparently it is flat, cause flat's where it's at. Newest leak shows flat and appears legit. How the tide shifted from curved. I prefer flat displays so if true- a win
I don't know. The one on Androidauthority doesn't look flat to me and there WERE two prototypes, one flat and it was said Samsung had abolished it
It has been very widely reported that it was an internal video with a test unit. The flat version isn't coming out, period. All sources, and all leaks point to a curved model only.
If you need flat, then you need to look elsewhere. At this point that would be away from samsung.
I remember last year or so, when they moved the headphone jack, and a few other things, people were screaming, loudly, that it was turning into a iPhone, and the designs were not different enough to make a clear distinction between the top Samsung/Android phones, and the iPhone. The curved edge screen is that difference that was being looked for. In the end they have gained many more customers to the s7 edge and I would suspect the note 7 as well, than they will lose from those complaining about it. Remember how the removable battery and ir-blaster "mistakes" were going to bankrupt Samsung.
Personally, I have no opinion on the matter, I can't change the design, so I will end up with whatever they release. The positives of the device, as a whole, far outweigh a minor design consideration. I might grow to love it. Not sure, but I'm not running away until I try it.
The USB-C is the bigger issue... I want it, but what a pain in the butt it will be. Adapters, different charging cables... yuk. Once I get my whole family changed, it will be better. It is giving me flashbacks to the days of the dedicated charging cord... better hope you don't need to change your _______ if you didn't bring its cord.
For someone that sez "Personally, I have no opinion on the matter" that was a lot of opinions. ?
For me, locked bootloader no dice... Unlocked, got the cash in my pocket. Otherwise it's the next Nexus.

No flat screen option and still on the awful MM means I may not get it at all. I was looking forward to it.
Been with Samsung for a long time. May be time to try something else when more N devices launch later this year.
Well thank god they tamed the edge down..its barely there.
That was the only deciding factor for me getting the device as I am not an edge fan.
I think it looks like I can live with it, still want to see it in person but Ill preorder anyway

Really don't know why they can't stick with a flat screen but round the glass a little. Like the iPhone does it is fine.
More users have fold 3 and a lot have/had fold 2 so i think worth open discuss.
Worth upgrade from older model?
What is for + and - compared fold 2 to fold 3?
I read posts users fold 2 and 3 about worse speakers and microphones work in fold 3 by water resistant.
Anybody can confirm above?
Yes if you absolutely need that S pen and higher storage. I gladly traded in my Fold2 for a 512 Fold 3, two cases + spen, care+ and charger for $846.96.
Otherwise, it really is a Fold2.5 instead of a Fold3. Cheers
honestly if u had the fold 2...it isnt necessarily worth it. on the other hand... im glad i did... the hinge being less bulky is a major win for me... and it feels noticeably lighter in the spigen thin armor when compared to the fold 2. I also love the in display cam doesn't take away from my home screen wallpaper. Minor... but major boost on how i feel when using the phone.
No. I have Fold 2 and I returned my Fold 3 for these reasons:
not so good battery life as Fold 2
noticeably worse sound from external speakers
writing with SPen over crease is awkward
S Pen case supplied by Samsung is a Joke ( I currently use leather flip case over my Fold 2 )
I hate that selfie hole cover up, I would rather live with display cut out which does not bother me.
Good things in F3:
512 GB storage
120Hz front screen
noticeably brighter inner screen
Inner screen display protector feels more like glass
Got pretty good trade in from Samsung for my old Fold 2 and S Pen case but still decided that I am going to hold onto my F2 little longer. I still believe they will release something like Note 30 or what ever they call it. This phone is not for masses despite the hype and initial volume of orders.

Only internal screen sadly. It would be great if it worked with the outer screen too, just for a quick note. I don't tend to want to use the pen out and about, for fear of dropping the phone!
100% worth it to me. The Z Fold 3 feels like a more refined device in hand. Can't really explain why. But the addition of SPen support, water resistance, and the 512GB option made it worth it.
I traded in my ZF2 for the 512GB model the SPen Flip Case AND the Spen Pro, used a $100 promo code, my first responder discount, and used Rakuten to get 12% cash back. Brought it down to just under $700.
When the unlocked 512G version is available in Silver, I'll consider getting one. Until then, my ZF2 is just peachy for me.

My Harley is black, My Jeep is black, My Galaxy Buds 2 are black, My ZF2 was black, and My ZF3 IS black.
But my Note 20 Ultra is Mystic Bronze and so are my Galaxy Buds Live.

My Harley is Suede Green/Black, my Escalade Platinum is White and my Galaxy Buds Pro are Silver,
as is my S63 Coupe and so will be my ZF3, if I get one.

My first car was black and I swore I'd never own or lease another black car. That was in 1977 and I haven't had another black car and still won't (now about 30 cars later).

I guess I'm a glutton for punishment!
Amazon has a really great price on the unlocked US version and comes with the Buds as well for $1500! I currently have the S21 Ultra. The Ultra has bigger battery, better camera, and dust resistant.
If I were to buy the Fold I would keep my Ultra.
So is it worth switching? I'm a huge Note fan as well. Would it be wise to maybe wait until Feb and see if the s22 Ultra is basically the Note with built in Spen?
I was also toying with the idea of scoring a deal on a Tab S7 since I need a new tablet. Would it maybe just be best to stick with the S21 Ultra, buy my tablet and then get the S22 Ultra in Feb?
I'm also worried about the Fold 3 and screen cracking in the middle I'm seeing a lot on Reddit.
Just go for it. The fold 3 is better than any tablet. And the advantage of having the phone and the tablet with you really makes a difference.
I came from an S21 Ultra, and switched to Fold 3, I'm very pleased with the change, at the start, I did miss the S21 camera, but the Fold 3 camera is still fine for me.
The rest of the Fold 3 is fantastic, the for media consumption, is just brilliant using that center screen.
This is with me all the time, which a tablet wouldnt be.
Reliability wise, it feels very well built, and the screen doesn't feel fragile at all (I had the fold 2 before this, and never had any problems with the screen through my ownership)
Hold your horses if you want to root - its far better on the S21 for that right now - i can guarantee that lol
Ive seen enough videos side by side with the camera and IMO they look very similar, I'm sure the s21 zoom is amazing but for normal shots side by side its pretty hard to tell the difference.
You basically get a folding tablet in your pocket vs a typical phone thats what you get. Is it worth it? I think hell yes
I love the folds. this is my second after Fold 2 (for a year). Fold 3 hasnt been as reliable as fold 2 for me. Screen is already having issues after having sand in the hinge. I see so many screen failures in reddit group and samsung refuses to cover those under warranty even if it was not fault of your own. so be mindful of that.

Do you think it's better I buy the Tab s7+ and stick with the S21U and get the S22U instead?

this is very personal. I cant live without a large screen in pocket. So personally I'll chose fold everytime.
S22 isnt going to be radically differnt from s21U. Minor improvements everywhere wont make it a replacement for fold 3.
I personally hate having to do anything productive or even researching a product on normal phones, Fold solves that problem very well. I've tab s7+ too which I use only for media consumption.

What about the camera downgrade and the fragile screen? A lot of people are having the Fold's main screen break, even after just a few days.
So, the main takeaway is will most be happy or disappointed switching from the S21U to the Fold?
Keep the s21. I think if you want a foldable the flip is the better buy. But it depends.
I got the fold 3 for about 1100 on swappa as soon as it was released in august. The device feels great. The hinge is satisfying the 120 hz on both screens are nice (albeit marginal improvements). Generally the ability to see more detailed content is wonderful.
But
The cell signal is bad, the battery is bad, the display is fragile (inner display), the outer display you can do very little on, and the list goes on (including the camera experience just not being comparable to the s21). I like the fold 3 as an experiment and it is a jack of all trades master of none in my eyes. Lots of work needs to be done.
If you want to beta test it be my guest. But there’s a ton of issues I have. And I’ll probably always reach for my iPhone first
You just simply have to ask yourself: what do you actually need?
In my case, I am not a photography enthusiast, but I had to carry my cellphone and my tablet every time I go.
Phone for communication (of course), and tablet to carry all my (more than 100GB) documents everywhere (to work on my papers, read some textbooks, ...)
I found it is much more convenient now to carry only one gadget that can serve as a phone and as a tablet at once.
It's rather bulky and heavy, I admit, as a phone. That is the price I have to pay, I guess.
I went from Fold2 to S21U ... after 3 months I went back to fold 2, now I have the Fold3
I understand what I need
Once you've used the Fold, it's hard to go back
Honestly, I am not a fan of these "help me decide" posts. If you need all of us to convince you that you want/need this phone, then you probably are not going to be convinced. There is only ONE person that can "convince" you and that is you.
Look at reviews, look at tests, look at everything and then decide. If you need to HOLD one, then ping a friend with one or go to a store and hold it. No amount of words are going to convince you if you are not already convinced.
Good luck on your search and hope you settle on something that makes you happy!
i just switched my s21u to fold. so far it's been a great experience. i traded and got the fold 3 for $516 including tax and got a free buds2.

I got mine about 2 weeks ago but good thing is to keep it clean that will fix any issues from the folding screen even tho it's the 3rd gen it's still fragile I like it bc I had the z flip I loved it but I did miss the bigger screen of a tablet so I waited and got my z fold for 189 just 2 weeks ago but yeah just use air duster to keep the dust out don't take to really dusty places and make sure you don't put anything else in your pocket with the z fold 3 no debit cards no nothing and get you a rugged case with hinge protection there's like 3 or 4 cases that are not to bulky and when you clean the screens use lens cleaner
Hey this question mostly guess for the people that have had their phone since launch Has it been worth the money? I was wondering how do u like it? and Is the battery as terrible as every YouTuber makes it seem? I just ordered and I'm so excited
Yes it's worth it!
Biggest downer for me is no e-sim.
Battery life is fine.
And most importantly the camera is FAR better than youtube reviewers are saying.
Again in my experience.
I got it a few days before launch day and have loved it every day since. The big screen is totally worth it! I almost never use the outer screen, just occasionally for things like telling the med reminder app I took my med if my phone is already folded, or camera preview so I can take a more quality selfie with the back cameras (phone open), etc. Battery life is good for me. Speed and storage (larger version) are great, screen quality (on natural not vivid) is great, etc. The T-mobile connection issues suck and I hope they are fixed soon, but not all T-mobile customers have the issue (my friend in another state doesn't). But, the temporary fix helps - I just need them to fix it so it can roam so I'm not worried when traveling anywhere. Finding a good case isn't fun, though. I like the one I have now, but I don't think it would protect it very much from a drop/fall.
I've had it since launch..............believe it or not, I use the outer screen more than the inner one. I have taken it on vacation a couple of times. The most recent trip was to Hawaii back in December. Just before we left, I found a case that had a built-in kickstand and actually added more bulk to the phone than I realized..........well, that made the device cumbersome carrying it around on hikes and to the beach. Sometimes, depending on what shorts I was wearing, I would carry the phone in my left hand while walking around Waikiki just so it wouldn't "weigh" me down. I went back to the slimmer case after I got home. Phone has been out since August, and haven't seen anybody else with the same phone. I thought I would on vacation, but trips to busy airports, shopping malls, etc...........didn't see another person with the ZFold. I know it's expensive but you see big iphones everywhere and those aren't cheap either. I do miss the width of my Note-10+ instead of this slimmer one. Was tempted to do the trade-in for the Galaxy S22 Ultra, but will probably wait to see if the ZFold4 is any better and might upgrade to that. Only problem is, the trade-in value of the ZFold3 will drop by then. I hear the next Fold will have the S-pen and a 5000mah battery, not sure if that is enough to upgrade. Currently, you can get $900 trade-in through Samsung, T-Mobile chat person said I can get $1000 through them..............but will probably hold on to mine for now. I don't do any multiple apps tasks, but probably should try to do more to maximize its use and justify why I got it. The 5G on it, for the most part, isn't great. I was getting the 5G UC symbol a couple of weeks ago and not anymore. There was a software update last week and I think it was a T-mobile update to get rid of that symbol, didn't include the Feb security patch. Currently with the Speedtest app, getting 20.9 download, and 6.57 upload. It was way better than that prior to the update.............thanks T-mobile!

I need to shut up, as I picked up my phone today and it jumped out of my hands. I tried to catch it, but couldn't quite get it as it bounced off my fingers and onto the hardwood floor inner screen face-down. I thought it was a goner when I picked it up and the touch sensors were not working on the inner screen (tried to get to the notification I needed to respond to as I took my med), but I turned the screen off and back on again and it was working fine again. Tested most of the diagnostics in the Samsung Members app and everything was fine. Phew!
The front screen side of the case did slide off a bit in the fall, but it didn't break and slid back on when I picked it up. I do use double-sided tape so it doesn't slide every time I open the phone (don't want to scratch the front screen), but it wasn't enough for the fall.

Nice to hear that it didn't break. I think I dropped mine (folded) about a month or two after I got it and nothing happened, case protected it.....seems to be very durable device.
For me personally. Its worthed it. I upgraded from my 1 year old iPhone 12 Pro Max. Now i can freely buy accessories without worrying that it wouldn't work(because not all accessories are MFI certified in Indonesia).
And not to forget that the Z Fold 3 when closed is not that wide, thus making it easier for 1 handed use.
Yes and no chance to change it!!!
I have it since the launch. I have also a Iphone 13 pro. I have tried meanwhile s21 and Pixel 6 and Mi11 Ultra. So now a couple of months of using I can only say: Once Fold and forever Fold. Yes it's heavy and bulky. But Yes is the only one TABLET that is good for one hand operation and phone calls and can you carry in pants pocket. And the camera is not super duper but is top, and the battery (SOC Snapdragon) is far better than any other Exynos on the market and on the planet.

So am I! I'll be paying for this phone for the next 2.5 years, so it needs to stay in one piece for a long time to come. My previous phone I had for 5-6 years, but of all it wasn't a folding phone. A friend of mine dropped his Fold 3 on tile and had to get a new front screen protector, but it otherwise survived the fall.

I actually like the bulk of the phone when closed because it makes it easier to hold and carry without dropping it (when I dropped it, it was open to the inner screen), and I'm saying this as a woman with small hands (medium glove size).
Took a look at the fold3 in an at&t store the other day. Looks like they have the first generation bugs squished. By the time I'm ready to buy a new one, I'll probably get the fold 4 or 5.
Love the phone. Love it so much I have a second as a backup in case this one breaks (truth!). I love the ability to use the front screen one handed. I love having that big inner screen when multitasking or reviewing/editing large documents. The only thing I also wish I had was a zoom/macro lens. It doesn't even have to be a nice one, just a passable one. But I don't take many pictures so I usually let that slide.
I've had mine since October 2021 and it's been one of the most enjoyable experiences I've had with a gadget. The display is amazing, it's fast, camera is decent enough, I love tablet mode, like really, really love it. I definitely can't wait for the next generation of foldables because it's just going to get better. It's definitely worth buying now however, if your still having doubts.

I bought the Oppo Find N (foldable) as my backup. It's actually a really awesome phone, with features and design choices that I find better than my Z Fold 3. One thing is it's size, it's fantastic, definitely the better choice on Oppo's side to choose such a wide design. It's even better when you use it in tablet mode as it's aspect ratio is 16:9, which means more apps support it better.
for me i like having the 2 phone factor one big one small, so I am never really bored looking and using it. I find when I am home and chilled i use the big screen more but when i am out and about the small screen, If only they can cut away some of the weight it would be perfect.
It’s just an incredible experience. I have been a loyal Note fan since the first Note, but after owning the Fold 3 I can safely tell you that I won’t go back to a slab phone, even to a Note

I've had a z Fold 3 since the 1st month it came out. Great phone but I ended up pre-ordering the S22 Ultra just to test the waters. Been a note fan since the early days. Just received the S22 ultra this week and it's also a great phone. The integrated s pen and bigger battery has definitely tipped the scales in favor of the S22 ultra so I'll be returning the Fold. I will miss that huge screen though!
Had the phone since february, dropped it once and although the front body dented a little bit, the phone is still working well. Been using the bigger screen for media and the smaller screen for calls and short messages. IDK why some doesn't have e-sim but mine does.
I've had the Fold 3 for around a month now, as I had to replace my Note 9 N960N. I can honestly say that it is the best purchase I have made this year. It is such a good device, I can use it for everything from gaming to media consumption for work. It is truly a very versatile device.
The fact that you can use it as a normal phone and open it up to a tablet for a more completely experience blows my mind every time I use it.
