Hello everyone,
Can you help me fixing this problem? When I talk on red magic 5g, I can't use the internet of my mobile data.
Thanks,
Verizon doesn't allow this either I believe.
Thank you, I solved the problem through APN bearer.

How exactly did you fix this? I'm running EE and virginmedia Ireland and neither let me use data when on the phone.
Bloody annoying.
It depends on the carrier

This happen to my Oneplus 6 before, it's really depend on your carrier:Im chinese live in HK and using Sunmobile Tel service before, whenever calling the Data will disconnect ( not even 3G/H+ only have 2G) thus the game Im playing is disconnected, finally I change my data plan to 5G from another company it works frawlessly with VOLTE?, very happy with it haha!

Not bad 300 Mbps ? In Kuwait, the download is up to 900 Mbps. Depends on the location. In my home, less than 500 Mbps. Check out my screenshot below.

Let me preface by saying I love this phone except one single issue...my reception is just not as good as other phones.
I jump phones frequently looking for the perfect phone and I thought I had found it until recently. I noticed (t mobile) that my reception (while it says I have a signal) just seems to be spotty in areas I had a great signal on my nexus. the calls seem staticy and often end up dropping.
Anyone else getting this on tmobile as well? And for the record, t mobile's service gets great coverage where I am.
Nope, I'm on T-Mobile as well and my cell ? is actually better than what I was getting on my s7e. No static on Phone calls or anything. I'm using VoLTE

Getting the same. Unacceptable for me as I'm always on the road. Unfortunately, I have to dump this phone.
I'm on O2 Germany and my LTE reception is perfect. Compared to my Elephone P8000 I get 5 bars LTE in my apartment instead of 3-4.

i found turning off volte works a little better. i have only 1 bar of lte where i work for other phones. but oneplus 3 shows 2-3 i dont know why one plus did this. this is just a animation image they changed. so instead of 50% it would show 75% on signal maybe?

I've done that, it just doesn't have the signal strength even though it says it does.

Signal meter bar readout will vary with every brand and is not a reliable indicator on reception quality.
Up/download speeds or band switching, perhaps even call dropouts are probably a better gauge.
Correct and while my signal sits here at -110, my phone shows 3 bars...Sorry that's not the truth. This phones reception in my area are far inferior to every other phone I have owned.
I'm having the same issue but when comparing my galaxy s6 and OnePlus 3 with LTE discovery the numbers and bands connected are about the same. It's just when I'm on the OnePlus 3 the calls drop or it breaks up but I don't have that issue on the GS6. They're both on T-Mobile and I have disabled volte on my op3 went into advance settings and selected LTE/GSM prl auto and made sure my apn is correct but the problem still persist.
I can to you that mine is excellent. My desk at work is terrible with AT&T and most phones (including all Samsung, from S7 down) will drop to no coverage. Best phones I've had for reception are the Nexus 5x, 6P, and OP3. Shouldn't say reception because most phones are very close on the signal level, about -120 but I can still make calls and receive MMS at this level with the OP3 when most others drop to no coverage. This is the main reason I'm keeping my OP3.
i pop the sim into sim tray 2 and still the same. going to VOLTE make no changes. did the first batch got hardware issue? the thing this i order mine on first day

I have only lte. 4g missing.
I believe T-mobile permanently got rid of 3G. Seems liek they're using E (edge) now because they are starting to fix 4G lte and implement more of the 5G in the upcoming years. Yes 4G is not present either.
The -02 variant is the only variant that will work properly with T-Mobile.
-01 and -03 are missing a ton of necessary bands.

No, 3G most definitely is present. What you see as H/H+ is 3G (HSPA).

Charlotte NC. Idk I travel up the seaboard often and I pick up H/H+ all the time. Given that you're in NYC though it wouldn't be surprising that T-Mo is migrating to 5G up there.

Its kind of ridiculous to cut off 3G when most of the mid-range smartphones dont have the necessary antennas/bands capabilities to have 5G. I hate T-mobile with a passion.

Are you kidding? LTE is 4g. It's just marketing how carrier will call it. I saw 5g advertising in one country even is still just LTE.

Curious to see some comments from anyone with Mi Max 3 on T-Mobile or AT&T - are you able to get a stable LTE connection? Overlapping bands are only B4 and B5, so it may not work well everywhere in US. Some speed test results and general comments on LTE connection would be appreciated.
I am still awaiting my unit to show up, its been "in transit" for 2 weeks now. I have AT&T and am also curious about this.
I have used many overseas phones in the past and even without LTE I never really had any issues with speed. HSPA+ always seemed to get the job done fine.
LTE in USA
There's another thread on the board where a fellow in NJ is using the Mi Max 3 on T-Mobile and keeping Band 4 LTE almost all the time. I'm on T-Mobile as well and I'm seriously considering the device.
I am curious, though, if the Global version will have support for additional bands?
I got this phone last week and am on Tmobile. I'm getting 50mbps down with no drops yet. I love it. The only problem I had at first was with calling, but after enabling voLTE by typing *#*#86583#*#* into the dialer, problem solved.
I'm on Cricket and pulling stable LTE constantly, though I haven't left town with it yet. Probably Band 4, but 20 is also a possibility.
h20 wireless with uses ATT network shows 4g not LTE However Tmobile shows LTE

Which Global version do you speak of? If you're referring to Max 3 Global ROM, which some stores pre-install - that ROM has no impact on availability of additional LTE bands.
My black 6gb/128gb arrives today from TradingShenzhen to me in UK. I have an EE UK sim in slot 1 and AT&T US sim in slot 2. I won't be able to do the best tests since I'm obviously in UK currently, but at least you'll know whether you're covered internationally and how dual sim functionality is .
On T-Moblie
I am in TX using T-Mobile and the connectivity was horrible regardless. Even had T-Mobile store try to help.
Anyway, I followed the Xiaomi advice to revert to the China ROM (the "Global" Versions are BS and have this connectivity issue from some suppliers).
I need to flash the ROM tonight since I wiped EVERYTHING after fighting with it all night.
Apparently wiping "System" in a Xiaomi might be a very bad thing. I'll find out. I used TWRP BTW.
I’m referring to the authentic Global ROM that should be onboard the Hong Kong exports.

Any speed test data to share? Network congestions in your area are obviously not the same as mine, but during low load times your tests still give good indication what that CAT 12 LTE modem of SD636 is capable of.

I believe so since changing to comes ROM stoned it for those that could. I'm out of town so I can't play with it to get it back functioning.
Mi Max 3 just arrived . First off blue color amazing. I'm in Houston on T-Mobile running original China ROM, after adding all Google apps and tweaking some settings as far as syncing this phone is running awesome here in Houston. Super fast and really loving the build quality the phone is huge in person and I can't say enough about blue color.
So I am planning on ordering one of these soon but having read the forum there's been some concerns around LTE connection. I was quite pleased to learn that 20x was supporting a a lot more bands than any other "normal" Chinese phone would. That said, I am getting second thoughts now to learn that people are not getting the best LTE connection (HSPA + on Att?) and a lack of band 28 which may not make for an ideal LTE experience.
What are your thoughts and how's your experience been when it comes to data (particularly the LTE) connection?
Thanks in advance.

Many things, read through the forums, for me the differences are livable, to others its not. Buts all based on what you want from the phone and what you use. I dont live on my phone, so for me for example, "whatsapp" is useless, to others they cant live without it. But for everybody the need is different.
LTE+ on bands 4 and 7 in Canada, New England, and New York. Very fast data connection. L29 model.

I was worried about speed too before I bought. Band 28 is very common in Australia so the fact it is missing from this phone had me worried.
Thankfully my experience has been wholly positive - check out my up/down speed on dslreports here: (I can't post links so you'll need to take out the linespaces and add back the periods)
www
dslreports
com/speedtest/44320783
Notice that mine is currently the fastest speed in the last 400,000 tests nationally using my mobile provider (Telstra Bigpond). The second fastest is an iphone, clocking in at half the download speed I'm getting using my Mate 20 X.
(Note: I have the "LTE high-speed mode" enabled in settings)
I'm in the UK and use bands 1 & 20 on Vodafone, very quick speeds and never noticed any issues with connectivity
Quick question and I am hoping someone can help. I had a mate 20x for 6 months and sold it in May. It was c436. I bought a new 20x last week. It is c185. I live in Ireland. On my new 20x the 4g icon is on even when using WiFi. It just shows 4g all the time. This was not the case with my previous 20x or indeed any other phone I ever owned. When WiFi is on there is no activity on the 4g icon. It only gets activity if I turn off WiFi. Is this normal?
Hello, In fact this comes from models c185 ... I already had the same worries with my mate 10 pro and that of my sister ... You can not do anything
