Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops and /sys/fs/pstore/dmesg-ramoops-0. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

-- bit more friendly stock -> lineage instructions --
1. Unlock the bootloader
- Connect to WiFi network
- Enable OEM Unlock in developer options
- Turn off the tablet
- Boot to download mode manually by plugging in USB and holding all the buttons for few seconds
- Follow instructions on the screen
2. Connect to WiFi network and make sure OEM Unlock in developer options is still checked
3. Flash custom VBMeta image ( https://dl.twrp.me/gts4lvwifi/vbmeta.tar.html ) in Odin ( use AP slot )
4. After flashing VBMeta, boot to stock. It'll likely ask you to wipe data, if so do that
5. Connect to WiFi network and make sure OEM Unlock in developer options is still checked
6. Now you can flash TWRP ( https://dl.twrp.me/gts4lvwifi ) in Odin ( use AP slot once again ), for convenience you can hold volume up while flashing it so that you boot to recovery right after it's flashed
7. Install Lineage × whatever else you need ( gapps, addon-su, ... )
8. Format data
9. Reboot ( make sure to not install TWRP app when TWRP asks you to )
---
Also Odin download for those who can't find it on their own https://build.nethunter.com/samsung-tools/Odin_3.13.1.zip

Builds 20210531+ depend on Android 11 firmware, and thus from now on the recovery will abort the installation if you're still on Android 9 or 10 one.
You can update the firmware by flashing following Odin package: https://github.com/luk1337/gts4lv-fw/releases/tag/T720XXU2DUD7.
After the firmware update you should be able to flash newer builds.
That was fast. You know what i'm sayin
Working good , just SD card exfat bug (TAP to fix) but thx for Android R so fast!
Which gapps you use?

I have a new tablet running Android 10. I want to double check what I need to do. First I need to enable Dev mode and OEM and then unlock the bootloader, boot and enable wifi but don't create a google or samsung account or install any apps. Just enable Dev mode again. Then boot to download mode and flash vbmeta from AP. Boot to system and if it request a factory reset, do that. Again wifi and dev mode and back to download to flash TWRP. Now I can flash the LOS 18 build.
Question. Does the build include gapps? I don't see a gapps for LOS 18.
First of all, I want to thank you for your great work. Second, I want to ask how to root, because flashing latest Magisk canary leads to download mode and ROM doesn't boot with it

Got it working. Without setup, I'm having to install my apps one by one but no big deal. Starting from BTFN didn't help. I still had to flash the AP and BL files from post #3.

Important Info:
To flash this rom you need TWRP 3.3.1.0 or newer.
Make sure you have the vendor, radio, & bootloader img's installed, from the stock oreo 8.1 OPM7.181205.001 Dec 2018 factory image.
They can be extracted from the factory image on google's site here. Or you can use the ones linked below that I already extracted:
vendor, radio, bootloader img's: https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=286833
The vendor img is flashable with twrp or fastboot. For the radio and bootloader img, use fastboot.
Instructions:
If updating from an unofficial lineage-17.1 build, follow the steps below:
If you don't already have them installed, flash the newest vendor, radio, and bootloader img's linked above.
Boot into TWRP.
Flash the ROM zip.
Reboot & enjoy.
NOTE: if you previously flashed gapps and/or the su addon, there's no need to flash them again. They will be automatically re-installed during rom zip installation.
If coming from a different ROM:
If you don't already have them installed, flash the newest vendor, radio, and bootloader img's linked above. also make sure you have the newest twrp, linked above.
Boot into TWRP.
Wipe system & data & cache partitions.
Format data.
Flash rom & GApps & su zips (GApps & su zips are optional).
Reboot & enjoy.

Grab our recovery from the peripherals section and install it.
Through TWRP Recovery:
Install Zip > Install Image > Choose ‘recovery.img‘ > Select partition ‘Recovery’ > Swipe to confirm flash
Through Fastboot:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Install the ROM and then wipe your internal data partition.
Through TWRP Recovery:
Wipe > Format data
Through Fastboot:
Code:
fastboot -w
Reboot into system and wait until the process finishes, it could take a little bit. After the installation is done, I suggest waiting before using the phone because it usually goes into thermal throttling after installing a ROM.

Face unlock has been officially removed in android 10 so that's not a problem . Same with battery percentage not showing . And regarding BLOD , just flash the updated BLOD workaround by osm0sis over the ROM not the 4core boot.img and there will be no lag . And does digital wellbeing and pixel launcher work ?

Google Camera 6.2.030.244457635 is the last version that will work with our device. Unless you use a modded one.
To offer some early feedback after playing with it for only a few hours, this seems to be working remarkably well. I installed with Open GApps 10 beta pico, and Magisk 20.1.
Battery life actually seems better than it was on LOS 15.1 (Android 8.1), though that could be because I dramatically slimmed down the apps I have installed (from ~150 to ~50). Overall, everything seems very smooth, fast, and efficient. It's a very refreshing experience, since this phone had been getting slower and slower.
I've had a couple apps freeze on launch, but closing and reopening always seems to resolve the issue.
I haven't figured out what GCam I'm going to use yet. I'm probably going to run through several of the suggested apks on Celso Azevedo' Google Camera Ports site until I find one that works reliably.
Visual voicemail in the phone app failed to setup, but that could be an issue with my carrier (T-Mobile). I haven't tried to troubleshoot that yet.
Everything else seems to be working great. Calls, GPS navigation, etc. No major issues.
This is amazing work, @PixelBoot. Thank you so much!

Wow, many thanks indeed!! However, do you have a list if what's working/not working, bugs and such?
i tried to flash it it does not work i done the full wipes and have latest twrp
Error in flashing and all my data are gone. Tsk!

Thank You sir for creating the first rom for our phone. Rom booted successfully and 120hz is working like a charm.
If anyone having issue in installing this rom here are the steps -
1) Extract lineage-17.1-20200319-UNOFFICIAL-I001D.zip in your pc and get payload.bin
2)Download payload dumper for windows extract it and than put payload.bin in payload_input folder
3)Run payload_dumper.exe you will get 5 .img files boot,system,vendor,dtbo,vbmeta
4)Flash all of the .img files using fastboot command and than reboot

did you flash through twrp?, and did it skip setup for you aswell?
So here a few tips:
I haven't tested flashing with TWRP, all I know is that it works properly using Lineage Recovery, that is provided within the ROM.
I'll upload it as a standalone image
This build includes Gapps because I'm testing -user builds with verity enabled, so these images are basically my goto for testing CTS.
The current broken things are the vibrator ( will fix soon hopefully ) and air triggers ( probably won't be fixed )
Magisk worked last time I tried flashing it, so it should be fine.
For anyone coming from stock/another rom you have to wipe data _properly_ using the fastboot -w command
Also of course you need to be on the latest Android 10 build by Asus.
If there are some size issues, that might happen on some variants, I based the partition sizes on my device, things may change.

I unpacked the zip, got the boot.img (same as the one linked above) moved it to my phone, pactched it with Magisk, moved it back to my PC then flashed it.
This is the only way I could get it working for me. TWRP would break the ROM and make me have to reinstall.
I still went through setup.

Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

Install instructions
Flash the newest T-Virus release (if you have already installed T-Virus, reflash the newest release it contains a fix to TWRP)
After T-Virus has flashed and it has booted to the Android 10 GSI test environment, type this command to reboot to recovery mode
Code:
adb reboot recovery
Once in recovery, copy the Lineage OS zip file to the internal storage
Go to the Install section and flash the Lineage OS zip
After the zip has flashed, go to Wipe->Advanced Wipe, tick the "Dalvik /ART Cache" and "Data" boxes and wipe them
Head to Wipe->Format Data and type yes to format the data partition
Finally go to the Reboot section, select Slot B to switch to the flashed slot and then to System and swipe to reboot
Profit?
OpenGApps/Magisk:
After the ROM successfully boots up, many of will will want to install Magisk and/or OpenGApps. To do that you need to install the latest TWRP release
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash:raw boot --slot=all twrp-3.4.0-0-NB1.img
fastboot reboot
After that reboot to recovery, flash OpenGApps and/or Magisk. If you flash OpenGApps don't forget to wipe the data partition to prevent Google Setup from crashing

Bug Report Without logs means nothing
Magisk is untested
In case you flashed any gapps, re-flashing is needed if you're updating the ROM
Reporting Bugs:
DO NOT Report bugs if you installed Xposed or weird magisk modules
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops and /sys/fs/pstore/dmesg-ramoops-0. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

You gotta be kidding me... @emufan4568
Are you the maintainer? Great work, appreciations.
Should Selinux permissive be considered as BUG? It's a state with its own properties...
Camera is not mentioned to be working or not.
Finally it's here ! Great work :good:
Hopefully I'll be able to use it on a daily basis soon :victory:
Thank for great work sir
Wow great work I knew that you could do it!

You have to replace "/path/to/boot.img" with the path of the file on your computer... If your prompt is already in the same folder than your files are then just put the filename and it should be ok...
Actually I'm not sure if you should install this ROM as you don't really sound familiar with command prompt, you'd better wait for a stable release as it's just intended for testing.

The boot command does not work for the Nokia 8. You have to flash T-virus TWRP, then flash OpenGApps, reboot to download mode again and then type "fastboot format userdata" to prevent the Google Setup from crashing. Please read the whole thread before asking any questions
So... I used the rom for a few hours, played with settings, captured some videos and pictures, etc. Controls over buttons amazed me. Camera was good (I didn't have access to pc to compare in detail, but lower volume of photos was apparent, it could be because of higher compression or else), better than stock (except for interface!). Long story short, I came back to stock just for one thing, the ringtones. It looked like that there is some problem with their properties which is preventing usability. Rest is pure awesome.
P.S. (about stock packages) offline ota updates provided by @THMSP (specifically 488L for 488K!) don't seem to work. Also 5.15x firmwares (above 5.150) have problems in their system image file. Their offline updates don't seem to work either.

You need to use the :raw tag with flash. Running fastboot flash:raw boot_a twrp_treble.img work for me

Ringtones, Headphones and NFC have been fixed. New build will be up soon
Awesome work man! I have a suggestion, make a modified T-virus with LineageOS bundled with it. I'll start working on AIO 2.0 for Treble soon
Suggestion: Use Google Drive to upload rom files. Github is painstakingly slow af for me, while others work just fine. Please do something about that
My wifi will not work, installed following instructions works fine except for wifi. Phone is TA-1012
New release is up! Download from here: https://github.com/GPUCode/android_device_nokia_nb1/releases/tag/v1.1 Fixes include:
* Headphones
* Ringtones
* Bluetooth audio
* NFC
Now the release comes with a TWRP flashable package. The thread has been updated with new installation instructions

Installing LineageOS for the first time
Flash lineage recovery
Only the provided lineage recovery will be supported,
using TWRP might result in a possible data loss!!
If using Odin rename the lineage recovery image for your model to recovery.img and add it to a .tar archive using e.g 7zip.
If using Heimdall use: heimdall flash --RECOVERY recovery.img --no-reboot
Boot lineage recovery
IMPORTANT: Do not boot into system again before booting recovery, or system will restore stock recovery!
If using Odin untick auto-reboot before flashing.
After flashing reboot by pressing Volume Down and Power for approximately 7 seconds,
immediately hold Volume Up and Power to boot recovery
IMPORTANT: As of OneUI 3 your device needs to be connected to a PC via USB cable in order to be able to
boot recovery via Volume Up and Power.
Factory reset using Factory reset -> Format data/factory reset
Warning: Unlike TWRP this will also erase internal storage!
Sideload LineageOS by enabling sideload via Apply Update -> Apply from ADB
Then run adb sideload <path to your lineage.zip> on your PC
Optional:
Sideload GApps and magisk by repeating above step
with their zip/apk
Known issues:
VoLTE/VoWiFi
Google maps
Firmware upgrade instructions:
Get the latest firmware for your device here
Follow the provided instruction for flashing with Heimdall
Gonna try this out later. Nice!
Looks awesome!
NOTE: z3s (Galaxy s20 ultra) and y2s (galaxy s20 plus) builds are still uploading, hold tight
Nice ! Thank you so much for the great work and effort put into this
Two questions:
1. Is 5G working as it is not anymore in the "known issues" section ?
2. When using the latest S firmware is a dirty flash from LOS 18.1 possible ?
Cheers !

I am not sure about 5G as i only have a 4G device. Otherwise the devices are same
about 2. Dirty flashing could Theoretically work but i really cannot guarantee it. You can always try updating only the firmware for your device by going here https://github.com/Linux4/firmware-update/releases and finding your device and flashing everything with heimdall with the provided command, then try dirty flashing without wiping.
All three builds are uploaded now, enjoy!
Exelent ROM for people like me that dislike oneui and all its bloatware. Beside that this rom work so mutch better then the current oneui4 that feels slow and sluggish compared with los12.

Thanks again to the team for your work.
I'm on G980FXXSCDUJ5 (S20 4G - x1s).
I was trying to upgrade to latest firmware G980FXXSCEUL9 before to load your 'lineage-19.0-20220111-UNOFFICIAL-x1s' but I have a problem.
According to me, two firmwares on your GitHub link are not corresponding to their designation:
-firmware-SM-G980F-G980FXXSCEUL9
-firmware-SM-G980F-G980FXXSCEUL7
(after download, sha256 hash controls are ok)
I've flashed these firmwares and the result for both is:
-G980FXXUCEUL6
-bootloader relocked
-On Download Mode screen, additional Japanese texts appear
I loaded back G980FXXSCDUJ5 from my datas.
Can you have a look ?
Thanks

Magisk
As this ROM has a working ramdisk sideloading the magisk apk is enough, just as it is
on every other device, no bootimage with magisk included or installing to recovery is needed!
I also strongly recommend to use Lygisk instead,
which is a fork of Magisk that aims to improve support for devices with FBE that can't (and shouldn't anyways!) decrypt userdata in recovery,
this will also fix OTAs getting stuck while having installed Magisk.

SELinux enforcing
AES-256-XTS FBE encryption

Ramdisk is working
