Sleep Routine Question - "services" or "packages" associated - PLEASE Help
hi!,
I've been using pre "done" sleep routine of bixby for sleeping to turn off wifi, BT, auto sync brightness to 10%, etc.
My question is what "service" detects that I'm sleeping because I want to disable some "sevices" with Package Disabler Pro and I don´t know exact what I'm heading to!
Please help!

Hello,
I readed on some forum that some androids have a bug that can let the phone sleep( check on phone status) at the bottom awake time if is the same time that the last charge on battery status, you can have this bug.
To remove this, you have to uncheck notifications on bar on sms settings.
Is another way to fix that?
Is anywhay to check the services that prevent the phone sleep?
Thanks!!
Hi,
I stumbled onto Tasker as a very extensive program to control your phone.
I would like to use it to switch off my data connection when the screen is off in order to save battery
Yesterday I uninstalled Juice Defender which i wanted to use for this but this gave me more battery use then without.
Normal battery usage on KG6 + ninphetamine 2.05 when screen is off is 1% per 2 hours
Does anybody succesfully use tasker on the SGSII?
Is it possible to shutdown the data connection when the screen is off ?
What is the battery usage of this app ?
A lot of questions but I hope someone can help me to answers
Hi obionenairobi,
I use tasker not only to shut down the data connection when the screen is off...I also use it to toggle the data connection all 30 minutes (when the screen is off) to receive emails.
Also I let tasker kill all running progs when I turn off the screen and disable the vibrate function when it's connected to a charger.
There are endless possibilitys to use tasker! =)
And the best: it doesn't drain the battery
can share the profile/task?
Sorry...don't know how and for killing running processes u have to make it especially for your installed apps anyway...but:
U only need to create the event "Display off"...u add the task "Mobile Data off"
For the same event u make the second task...add apps-kill app-and then select every app u want to kill when the screen is turned off. (U have to make it for every app which is a little bit annoying...but I didn't find a way to make it faster)
Create a second event "screen unlocked" and add the task "Mobile data on"
For toggling the data on every 30 minutes:
Add the event "display off"...then add the task "mobile Data toggle"
The properties for this task u set to: Launched Task Priority: 6
Cooldown Time: 30 mins (then the data will be turned on every 30 minutes when the screen is off)
Limit Repeats UNCHECKED!
So...hope I could help you =)
Check WIKI on Tasker site

Yeah as one of the other posts said, it's relatively easy to set an EVENT for DISPLAY OFF which runs a TASK to turn Data and Wifi off (Action Category = NET > Mobile Data & NET > WiFi). If you're rooted and deperately want to overcome Googles changes to GPS control, you can download an app called Secure Settings which will allow you to also do the same for GPS via the Plugin Task Actions.
Alternatively, you can always try Green Power which I switched to recently as JuiceDefender has too many bugs in it with Android 2.3.3/2.3.4.
Hi,
I just discovered something strange: I use FolderSync to sync Music to my GN. I configured it to only sync when WLAN is available. When I sync and switch the screen of, then the Sync stops immediately and resumes when I switch the Screen back on. Is WLAN switched off when the screen is switched off? Did I miss some settings to configure that?
Thanks
May be related with some auto task killer or process killer like juice defender
Yes you missed some wifi settings. You can set there whether you want to turn off wifi with the screen, keep it always on or keep it always on while charging.
You can find it in:
Settings - wifi - ... - advanced
Thanks martan1981, but this is "always on" on my GN. So thats not the reason
Do you have any battery-saving apps like JuiceDefender or GreenPower installed? That could cause your data/wifi to turn off with the screen.
Or there could perhaps be a power-saving function built in to your ROM? I know AOKP has a Power Saver mode that could be enabled to turn data off with the screen.
wifi sleep policy should be set to never. But some people have a bug where this setting does not stick for some reason. You prob have this bug too.
I also have this problem how to fix it ?
No root stock 4.0.2
Hi guys,
There is 10-15 mins delay or no notification at all from some third party apps until I press the power button to turn on the screen - not unlock, just turn on.
It mostly happens to Gmail and the Reolink App for my security cameras.
After I turn on the screen I can receive real time message from these two apps for a while but soon goes back to how it was before.
Things I have done but doesn't help:
1. Enabled “Stay connected when device sleeps” in battery setting.
2. Set apps to "Manage Manually" in App Launch
3. Enabled all notification for Apps.
4. Set "Don't Optimise" for Apps in Battery optimisation
I even followed the instruction below provided by @klaus27 to disable PowerGenie but it is still behaving in this way.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-20-pro/themes/remove-powergenie-to-allow-background-t3890409
I really dont have any idea now can any one please help me out? Thanks in advance.
Hi there,
It looks like my phone is not "working" when in idle. For example, I need to open my Gmail app to update my email. When I get a sound notification for a supposedly new email, it's usually a 1 or 2 hours email.
Is there a setting I changed by mistake? Do you guys encounter this issue?
Thx guys
MIUI has quite aggressive doze by default, but it doesn't impact Gmail for me. Some apps might need toggling these settings:
1. enable autostart in app info
2. lock app in memory in recents screen
3. disable battery optimization in app info
But I would suspect that you have enabled Battery saver function - make sure that it's off (search for it in system settings).
Hi,
Gmail app is not listed in the menu where I can adjust the way the battery acts with it
And no, my battery saver is not activated
Still digging... if I don't reply back in several days, I may be completely lost into my hole
