Click to expand...
Click to collapse
You could go into Settings > Applications > Google Search and uncheck the Show notifications option to disable it all together.

Google Dialer for stock ROM

I found, that Google Dialer app can be installed on stock ROM.
When placed to /system/priv-app
with proper permissions it makes calls, search phone numbers of places nearby.
The problem is, that it doesn't behave as launchable app. It has no icon in drawer. The only way is, to launch activity
com.google.android.dialer/com.android.dialer.DialtactsActivity
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
. I used QuickShortcutMaker app to make shortcut to my home screen. But is there some better solution? Some way to make the app "launchable"?

Calendar problem

Hi guys,
I have a problem with Google calendar. Every time I open the calendar and make a "ram clean" from the recents button, then if I try to open the calendar I get this message
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Then it opens only after reboot.. I've tried wipe cache and data of the calendar but with no luck. Also I've uninstall updates, still nothing.. Any suggestions please?
Thanks.
I think the consensus is that you should never use middle broom clear button as it breaks too many things. Use only the right side clear button. Other ROMs have the clear button but none (I know off) have the broom and really OP should remove it from OOS.

Question Power menu "Compatible controls unavailable" issue

I was trying to get Termux power menu device controls to work and encountered this issue seen on screenshot.

The same issue occurs with Google Home.
Does anyone have the same issue or have any idea how to fix it?
Google Home adds controls to the power screen for me. I'm on firmware 62.0.A.3.163.
This comes up for Google Home as well.
I'm on firmware 62.0.A.9.11
Termux shortcuts show up fine for me on 62.0.A.9.11. Did you put your scripts in $HOME/.shortcuts?

That was the issue... I'm dumb

Question Method for removing the media controls in the quick tiles in OOS13?

I hate the media controls in the pull-down shade. In previous phones, I would just block notifications for Spotify and never have to see it. In OOS13 even if notifications are blocked, it still appears as a quick settings tile and also a lock screen notification. Worse, you can't dismiss it like you can in AOSP. There is absolutely no option. The only method is to go into Apps and Force Stop the application. Spotify doesn't like this and won't remember where you leave off in your play list.
Is there any method to get rid of it?
Root / Substratum / Magisk module / Xposed are all okay -- I'll take anything.
