Straight to the point, I have an Lg G810ra model G8s.
Can I flash an open firmware onto it?
Because nowhere can I find the firmware for the g810ra, besides I don't want to keep this Claro firmware, so I can actually get updates.

LG G3 cat6 F460k model. hi guys. I just received a brand new F460k and i am not able to update it to lollipop. When i go into update center and then phone version update, after clicking on check now for update, it gives me an error "update service is limited. Please contact lg service center". I am currently downloading the lg pc suite. I have attached the software information. Also, I put up in India and I don't know whether that's the problem as my G3 is Korean variant.
Also lg pc suite, but it gives this error "cannot run upgrade. Check phone status and retry". Is something wrong with my device?

These are all LG Korean refurbished phones.. But they don't support it and not licensed to sell in korea. That's why e-commerce sites selling these phones with deep discount. But I wonder can I able to flash lollipop kdz file manually. If I do so will it affect SIM lock or SIM network read issue?
It's going to download mode when pressing volume up button while turning on and I downloaded lollipop kdz for f460k. Can I go-ahead and flash it. Or it will give boot up or hard brick. It isolleh . Thank you.
Flashed F460k v20c kdz lollipop everything fine and i rooted using one click root.Is there any custom rom available for lollipop as of now. Or i will downgrade to kitKat by flashing kdz and root and recovery andis there any lollipop custom rom available from stock kitkat. And by the way still automatic download not working same error when checking for new updates. Planning to go back to kitkat stock and install any custom lollipop rom available.. Olleh is having annoying bloatwares in korean language to get rid only i need to go custom rom.
So I'm in the U.S. On AT&T, but have ordered a G4 h815 European model. My understanding is this model has root and TWRP capability. Could someone with this model tell me what I should do? What I mean is, should I block any firmware updates, or is there a process necessary with LG to unlock the bootloader? I just want this phone to work on AT&T and for me to be able to load custom ROMs when they start appearing in the forums.

Hello everyone, I'm making this thread because Im having some trouble updating my phone to the latest version of Andriod.
I have an LG G3 D850 factory unlocked. This means it's an at&t phone, so I'd need an at&t sim to update it. The problem is, I dont live in the US, Im from southamerica, Uruguay specifically.
As I dont have the sim or anything, my phone is stuck in Android 4.4.2.
My question is, is there any way for me to update my phone? What happens if I download and install the D855 version for this phone (the international version) will it block my networks?

It will block your network most probably brick your phone

download latest mm kdz of ur D850 and use flashtool to falsh it.u can google it on how to flash and where to download it from

kdz is the format that the stock flashable rom is in.
go to this thread here and you will know what to do.all guide is written here on how to update to latest and how to degrade from latest stock rom ok.hope this will help you.

Hi all, I recently bought a used lg g7, and i'm not getting any security / firmware update. Searching the internet I found out that this could happen when you manually flash or unbrand your phone. Is there a way to find out if my phone was unbranded or manually flashed? If so, how can I restore my phone to it's original firmware or manually update it to Android 9 and the latest security update?

Hi all, I currently have a G7+ with the model number LM-G710EAW. From this site, there's a few EAW's that get the android 10 update, that is the HK, KR, and SEA. To this day, my phone is still on Android 8. Since that the only way to check the phone region via IMEI is now gone, I have to assume that my phone's region is IDN (I bought it in one of Indonesia's domestic store). With that, I have a few questions
1. Is it safe to flash a SEA KDZ to a IDN phone? Is there any possibility of bricking it?
2. What about the baseband compatibility? Can I still use the cellular network?
3. Is there another way to check an LG phone's region?
