Hello everyone, I'm making this thread because Im having some trouble updating my phone to the latest version of Andriod.
I have an LG G3 D850 factory unlocked. This means it's an at&t phone, so I'd need an at&t sim to update it. The problem is, I dont live in the US, Im from southamerica, Uruguay specifically.
As I dont have the sim or anything, my phone is stuck in Android 4.4.2.
My question is, is there any way for me to update my phone? What happens if I download and install the D855 version for this phone (the international version) will it block my networks?

It will block your network most probably brick your phone

download latest mm kdz of ur D850 and use flashtool to falsh it.u can google it on how to flash and where to download it from

What does mm kdz mean?

kdz is the format that the stock flashable rom is in.
go to this thread here and you will know what to do.all guide is written here on how to update to latest and how to degrade from latest stock rom ok.hope this will help you.

The software version "10L-EUR-XX" means you have the European variant of the LG G3 D855 which means you can flash a Lollipop kdz as long as it is matches your phone. And if not, you can wait until your carrier releases the updated lollipop version. This means you won't run the risk of bricking your device if you just wait.
I got this phone off ebay for a deal 330$. My plan was to root and install an aosp rom.
I have rooted the phone but cannot find anyway to install twrp. Seems like all the twrp recoveries and custom roms are for tmobile and international versions
i was not aware when i bought this phone that it would be a us cellular version the ad did not say
anyways what are my options? Is it possible to get an aosp rom on this version of the phone any advice would greatly be

Unfortunately there are no options as of now. The bootloader is locked and there hasn't been a workaround discovered for it yet like for other devices.
At best you can root and flash xposed on the phone as long as it has Lollipop, but as it looks now, you won't be able to keep root if you upgrade to Marshmallow.

will i even get the marshmallow update, i have a us cellular version running on att network
The US Cellular model will most likely get MM soon, but if you're on the AT&T network, you won't get the OTA. I'm not sure if you would have to put a US Cellular SIM back in temporarily to get the OTA download, or if you could just remove the AT&T SIM and download it over WiFi. Otherwise, you could just get the kdz when it comes out, plug into your computer and force the update that way.

yah but even with the mm kdz file comes out it will be for us cellular and the phone will become carrier locked and i will have to go thru the hassle if getting unlocked. btw my firmware version is us99110a i bought it off ebay. the seller did not specify it was under any network just said network unlocked. but like i said my firmmware version is us99110a which i believe is a us cellular firmware

I am having a real issue here after reading this tread. I recently upgraded to marshmellow but my data stopped working. I cannot get the H+ anymore. I need to go back to lillipop. I am looking all over the internet trying to find out how i can roll back. i even factory reset the phone but is goes back to marshmellow. do you have a clue how i can do it?

recently i purchased and refurbished lg lg3 within setting i could se it was D855 but on body it was D850
so i thoguhts its D855 because software it was running was D855 but then i flashed D855 firmware to update it and it is soft bricked i direct goes to download mode and nothing works
I took it to a shop he tried sevelar firmware at once i got it boot up but no camera wifi no modem, so it was not the correct one,
So is thier a way i can get it working?
How could i figure it is sprint at&t or verzion??? because it was an cdma set,
Cm13 or stock rom anything could work for me

I you are able to access download mode, try and flash the latest marshmallow KDZ for D855. My device also has D850 on the back but it has the D855 software.

First open up your phone,exact model will be on the board.then flash accordingly software.

I know already tried But it was D855 already tried n that caused soft bricking....
Hi, i am from Serbia, and i have Lg g3. The problem that i have is about updating my phone to marshmallow 6.0. I can't find appropriate version of marshmallow for my mobile. I do't want to root my phone, and i found few videos on youtube how to update without rooting your phone,but there isn't kdz for this model d85521a. Does anyone have solution? People who bought phone from europe, or to say models for european market, got update in Serbia. PS. I downloaded lg pc suite, but it says that i already have last version of software.

I think there is no kdz available for mm. So you to flash zips via recovery .

I have a phone with this firmware that i recently flash since the error message locked by FAP something like that, and it seems that this firmware is from korea when i turn it on it has a LG U+ logo WTF?? anyway i want to remove that and the korean apps that came from default is there anyway i can flash it back to a US custom firmware or oem if i cant because i think that im not able to flash it back to any firmware.
please advise

LG+ U is the carrier apparantly.
Forgive me, but is your device even available in North America?
You may be as well to search around and confirm if another device firmware can be used on your variant (ie. A520F on your A520L)

I tried those ones 520F marshmellow and no luck it fails by odin, any other idea?? or maybe to change that damn boot up screen of LG and get rid of those apps with that korean letters
