Android 11 nav buttons freezing with existing overlay - Google Pixel 2 XL Questions & Answers

Just updated to 11 and I noticed that my nav buttons and overall Pixel Launcher were freezing up after a while whenever I had a FB messenger chat head open. The problem would go away whenever I either 1) closed the chat head, or 2) turned off the new notification bubble feature. Anyone have the same issue or is this a known bug on 11? I've never tried any of the beta's before this stable version rolled out.

Known Issue happening with me too. Sadly google rolled Android 11 update in real hurry without realizing consequences. Almost every app is lagging and freezing, battery drain is worse and some time fingerprint registering doesn't work after pulling it out of charging.

After 1.5 months of owning the phone, some minor issues pop up

There's an article reported by Android Authority about freezing problems twisted to opening Contacts, but that's not the issue I'm having here. I just want to share some minor issues I've encountered in my Note 8 after a month and a half of obtaining the best mobile of 2017.
1. Launching the camera app from lock screen. I don't know why it's doing it all of a sudden now, but when I open it from there, the camera opens, but then it restarts itself a second or so later as if I unlocking the phone. I narrowed it down to seeing it's something related to the Bluetooth Smart Lock function for doing that, so disabling that won't have that problem again. Don't know why it comes down to being this since I actually don't want to wear out double pressing my power button.
2. I've been addicted to a music rhythm game and I notice some incredibly minor lag hiccups that appear when I just open the game after a while. It's not an insufferable problem unlike the lags I experienced in the S7 Edge, but it's just a very minor issue I would like to point out.
Any other issues you guys run into with performance and UI experiences and have any solutions?
Throw it out.

get a samsung rep at a service center to reflash firmware, or ask carrier for exchange, or contact samsung and file a RMA repair, or get desperate and use ODIN to flash firmware, or simply do a FDR master reset and setup as NEW DEVICE without restoration of backups.

Phone stuttering and lagging more each day

Anyone also experiencing same issues? After the PIE update months ago, everything began going downwards. Scrolling sometimes getting laggy or sticky (like pulling a gum from the ground), stuttering on some apps like chrome etc. Should i go back to Oreo? For me personally seems like this whole PIE thing was just a half-assed rebranded thing for OP5/5T originally meant to be devices like OP6/6T they just released half-assed update to satisfy people asking for pie update.

You're not alone.
I noticed this straight away when I "upgraded" to pie. Very noticeable when scrolling. If you leave the phone idle for a couple seconds (around more than 20-30 seconds), then scroll again, there's a very noticeable lag.
Another user on reddit managed to capture the issue
Unfortunately there's no fix. I wiped the cache and then factory reset. Still had the issue.
I ended up just going back to Oreo, which I recommend you do if you want smooth performance again.

Same problem here, no one want to help us. Like problem did not exist
I started having this problem since going to Pie, but the phone only stutters randomly about once or twice a day for me. A temporary solution for my phone is that whenever it lags, I press the power button to lock the phone. After unlocking, the stutters go away. Let me know if it works for you.

Rn5(whyred) pie app crash, chrome scrolling issue, noisy sound while in you tube

Hi, i have a redmi note 5 ai chinese version(MEE7S), it was pre-unlocked bootloader and global miui on it out of the box, i was running on miui oreo for a year it was ok(except chrome scrolling issues and noisy sounds) till i updated it to miui pie, got more problems like more app crashes, apps stopped working, then i changed my ROM to chinese miui, problems didn't fix. then i flashed Ressurection Remix 7.0.2 pie, but problems are still there and they are really annoying, does anybody has any suggestions?
its driving me crazy
Did you dirty flash pie version? Were the apps freshly installed on the new os or restored via any backup programs like titanium?
ive got no problem in pie roms but only one thing. NOTIFICATION DELAYED and sometime i got no notification at all. I believe many users experience this. Ive tried many things to fix this (bear in mind im not a potato) when i said many things, ive tried all my best. Including turning of doze using boefella, dumpsys, init d, pnf root, locking the apps from recent, disabling battery optimization. But to no vail. i had to revert to oreo. my notification fixed here. even i leave my phone in idle mode for few hours. i still got my notifications. Doze implementation in pie are very aggressive.

Android 10 - Google Chrome 'send this page' links not opening

Recently upgraded to Android 10 but whenever I use Google Chrome browser on my desktop to send links to my phone, the link appears as a notification on my A70, but when I click the link on the phone, nothing happens.
Not sure if it's a glitch in the software that will be fixed via the Play Store or whether it's the A70's firmware. Any ideas?
Other than that Android 10 seems to be running fine, battery life is worse but tolerable, and the only major glitch was when the touchscreen stopped working. I managed to reboot the phone using the side buttons and it's worked fine since.
Hope everyone is staying well and keeping safe!

Reduced touch screen responsiveness after OTA 12.1.1.0(JRDMIXM)

Hi there,
I had gotten the OTA on my Mi 10T Pro some time back and since the update, I notice the screen responsiveness reduce a lot. I always missed the gesture to perform back or pull the notification status down or any other gesture.
I even notice my Capacitive Pen (fine tips) wasn't registering the touch too. Previously, it was working fine on my Mi 10T Pro.
Do you notice that too? Or it is only me?
I have the same problem with big lags on the touchscreen, or maybe big lags on the apps that freeze touchscreen changes.
I updated to 12.1.1 Global via an OTA a few weeks ago, but had to factory reset to get it working. Then it worked well, except for the very annoying lack of gesture support for non-stock launchers.
Now I get major lags scrolling through items or using swipe on the Google Keyboard. Very frustrating ,and I only hope the 12.5 update comes soon and fixes things.
Look like we are not alone.
You set to factory default fix the problem?
No, it's still lagging badly.
I had to Factory Reset to get the phone to work acceptably after the OTA to Android 11. It worked well for a couple of weeks, then started lagging badly with many apps involving a long swipe (like keyboard using swipe, scrolling through news etc) would become unresponsive after about 1/2 sec movement.
Reboots didn't seem to fix it but may have improved things for a while before returning to lag.
