Hi everyone,
I recently upgraded my GWA2 (SM-R820) from BTA1 firmware (Tizen 4.0.0.7) to BTG1 (Tizen 4.0.0.8) after changing my CSC to XAR, and I noticed that on the new firmware the screen turns on with a single tap, whereas on BTA1 and previews firmwares it would take a double tap to turn it on. Has anyone else noticed this?
If this is the expected behaviour on the new firmware, is there a way to change it to double tapping, as the consumption of battery due to accidental touches on the screen is far grater?
Thank you in advance!

My watch downloaded and updated its firmware, and now my notifications don't automatically wake the watch screen when they arrive (I just get the buzzing). Anyone know if there's a way of getting notifications to pop up automatically (and turn on the display) - which is what they were doing before?
Hey all,
Just updated to 8.0 with the OTA update, and now I am having some slight issues. I've been receiving all notificaitons just fine, however I am unable to expand them while on the lockscreen. Is this some sort of new security feature that has to be disabled? I am not currently using a PIN/Passcode/ Or any other lockscreen security.
Has anyone else been having this issue?
I am in the US with model BDN-L24, build number: 8.0.0.330(C567)
Thanks!

I noticed that right away on my Mate SE...Not sure if that's just the Huawei way, or what. May want to check other EMUI 8.0 devices and see if it's consistent.

Looks like the P20 is having the same issues.

I'm in Germany and I have the same problem since I upated my phone. Pretty annoying tbh.
I just update my Huawei P8 Lite 2017 to Android 8.0 and EMUI 8.0 and I can't expand notifications on locked screen
Had the same issue on EMUI 8.
A custom ROM fixed it for me.
Got it to work on Huawei View10
I use my phone with both fingerprint and face unlock and tested working on Huawei View10 with latest update build 8..1.0.133, You can enable full message content on lock screen by going to phone settings > security & Privacy > Face Unlock > and disable "smart lock screen notification". These seem to be a bad description on Huawei part because you would think this turns off notifications on lock screen but it only limits the content on lock screen for security purposes. The only time i need to expand my messages on lock screen is when phone is sitting on desk and i don't want to lift the phone to unlock it in order to read my notification. Lock screen notification can be set for apps separately. Hope this helps. Regardless if i lift my phone face unlocked automatically unlocks the phone and i go to notifications.
Hello everyone,
I noticed recently that the bottom of my Watch GT was shot responding to tactile input. For example, I can't set custom timer because I can't tap on "Custom". I can't swipe up from bottom to show notifications anymore neither.
Is this a known issue or am I the only one having this ? Is there any fix?
Thanks for your time,
Regards
So on my s10 i can tap the screen to reveal the fingerprint icon so that i know where i need to place my finger but this setting is missing from the note 10?
This means i have to double tap to wake the screen and then use the fingerprint scanner! Its much quicker the other way and enables me to bypass the lock screen altogether!
Anyone else know what iam talking about and do you have the setting on your note 10 plus ?
I can single tap the screen to get the sensor location. AOD is set to "tap to show". Hope that helps

Oh interesting! Maybe AOD needs to be on so! AOD is off on my S10 but i can still tap to show the indicator. The settings on my S10 that give me that option are not available on my Note 10 +

I tried that and it works but then the clock is displayed too which i dont want! Basically i can unlock the phone from sleep using my fingerprint and bypass the lockscreen but have no idea where to place my thumb! On the S10 you could tap to see an indicator but you cant on the Note 10 for some reason! You have to guess or else your forced to use the always on display

If youre just unlocking it right after tapping it, why does it matter if the clock shows for a split second?
I turned off my AOD and tapping the screen brings up the place to touch without anything else...
Don't know why software experiences can be so different, I'm in Oz if that helps with a stock Exynos variant...
Hello..there is a bug between fingerprint sensor and always on screen....i set my always on screen setting to tap to show...when i tap the the screen for first time, the fingerprint is come on bottom of screen and there is no problem...
if i dont use fingerprint and let the screen goes off, then after a while, for second time , when i tap the screen there is no fingerprint icon on screen and i cant use fingerprint....even if i dont tap the screen for second time, i cant use fingerprint after first time and i must double tap to make the screen on and use fingerprint...
the fingerprint set to always on
thanks
It's an old bug, reported a long ago.. i assume you are still in one ui 5.0? because it is solved in 5.1 update.
If you are yet to receive one ui 5.1, there is a workaround. Set your fingerprint icon to display "never" on AOD. It will bypass the bug and will not be an issue further.
