Hi guys,
I can't find the switch, where I can change the mobile data usage from Sim-card 1 to Sim-card 2. The data limit of Sim Card one was reached and I can't find the button to utilise the data volume on Sim Card 2. In the settings it says "Standardsettings for mobile data" under Sim Card 1 settings while on Sim card 2 it says "available"?? (Sorry I translate from German here)
Bug?

I think I found the problem. In both Sim Card settings there's a switch for enabling mobile data. Both were set on. When I switched them both off and on again, it stated that the other one will be disabled if I activate it here! Is that kind of a bug? Now it's working as expected.

Currently I am not able to find the option to use the mobile data for secondary SIM as well.
As I checked the options, we are only able to use the Mobile data of primary SIM which is a bit irritating because I was able to do it on my 2 year old one Plus 3T.
Does anybody know the option by which I can use the Mobile data of secondary SIM card without swapping the SIM cards manually?

Go to network setting and then sim cards and then data sim.
Select whichever sim you want
Thanks man. Found it.
Not sure if I made a wrong setting on my Mi A2 Lite somewhere. I'm new to using 2 SIMS from Network A (TouchMobile in the PH) and Network B (Talk and Text). The phone will only use mobile data from Network A.
I see the setting where I can shut off mobile data for individual Networks, when both networks are ON, the mobile data comes from Network A (regardless if the SIM is in Slot 1 or 2) . When I choose ON for Network A and OFF for B, mobile data still works.
The problem is when I turn OFF mobile data for Network A, and ON for Network B. The Mobile Data icon automatically turns off also and when I press to activate, mobile data for Network A will turn ON also.
I've tried swapping the SIM cards but still same. The only way I can get mobile data to work using Network B is to remove the SIM card of Network A. Thanks in advance for the help.
go to wifi & network - SIM card settings - and select prefered sim card for mobile data
Ah, there it is. Thank you!
Hello everyone,
I'm writing this post because I'm experiencing a rather annoying problem on my Z fold 3 that I didn't have on my S20 Ultra.
I have a physical SIM card for my main plan, and an esim as a secondary plan (mainly for international). Usually, when I'm not travelling, I deactivate my esim to leave only my main plan. This worked very well with my S20 Ultra.
However, here I can't disable the eSIM as it simply doesn't appear in the SIM card manager. My main SIM is shown there but for eSIM it says "+ Add mobile plan". However the SIM card is active as I can surf with it and in the "Mobile Network" menu I can see "Network mode SIM card 1 and 2". I can also select which SIM card is used by default for calls, SMS or mobile data, but it stops there. The esim is not blocked by provider because I can change the esim by another one who works too. But simply impossible to deactivate or delete profile...
Does anyone know if this is normal and how to disable it? I have tried resetting but nothing... I contacted the operator who deactivated it remotely, gave me a new esim, but same problem...
When a go to SIM Manager, a pop up mention that "SIM card is busy", I assume that's concern the esim because I have the same message when I remove the physical SIM card.
The "remove mobile plan" option is greyed out and can't be selected either...
Thank you
Bump. Sorry to reopen an old thread but I am having the exact same issue. I’ve tried reflashing through odin, factory reset, clear cache, etc etc etc. I‘ve thought about trying to repartition (PIT) but I’m not sure that’d work. Any thoughts?
I recently started using a second sim. I am trialling another network so it might be temporary or it might not.
I left my original sim in slot 1 and put the new one in slot 2 and set calls and messages to slot 1 and data to slot 2 as mobile data performance is what I want to test and I do not want to impact people trying to call me. What I noticed when I did this that only the new sim card 2 showed as connected under mobile network state sim card 1 was showing as disconnected.
My expectation was that they should both be connected?
Hi, I'm using Galaxy s21fe running the latest one UI available, and for some reason I cannot set a SIM card for data connection and the other for calls, there's just a Primary SIM, which do both with no choice to make a SIM for just one use, it's data and call for one SIM only, how can this be fixed?
You can select the use of the SIM card in the settings in the SIM card manager, only when you turn on data transmission in the phone and both SIM cards are active.

Sorry, i don't understand what you mean
This is the way Samsung phones work - you can't set one for data and one for calls like you can on the Pixel or iPhone.
